• Page 1, Line 9WHEREAS, Over the decades, the name of Grand Junction's

• Page 1, Line 10institution of higher learning has morphed from Grand Junction Junior

• Page 1, Line 11College to Grand Junction State Junior College to Mesa College to Mesa

• Page 2, Line 1State College to its current moniker, Colorado Mesa University, but the

• Page 2, Line 2personalized focus on providing students with tangible skills to meet workforce needs has not changed; and

• Page 2, Line 4WHEREAS, Colorado Mesa University is an institution unique to

• Page 2, Line 5our state in that it delivers both career and technical two-year, four-year, and graduate degree programs; and

• Page 2, Line 8in western Colorado, with over $500 million in annual economic impact to the region; and

• Page 2, Line 12WHEREAS, Colorado Mesa University is a beacon of opportunity to first-generation students from across the state; and

• Page 2, Line 14WHEREAS, The history of Colorado Mesa University is replete

• Page 2, Line 15with grit, determination, and a willingness to break from the pack, exemplified by its long-standing mascot, the Maverick; and
