Senate Bill 25-255

also REPRESENTATIVE(S) Bird and Taggart, Sirota, Smith.

Concerning the transfer of six million dollars from the general fund to the hazardous substance response fund.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Colorado:

SECTION 1.  In Colorado Revised Statutes, 25-16-104.6, add (1)(g) as follows:

25-16-104.6.  Fund established - administration - revenue sources - use - repeal. (1) (g) (I)  On July 1, 2025, the state treasurer shall transfer six million dollars from the general fund to the hazardous substance response fund.

(II)  This subsection (1)(g) is repealed, effective July 1, 2026.

SECTION 2.  Safety clause. The general assembly finds, determines, and declares that this act is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, or safety or for appropriations for the support and maintenance of the departments of the state and state institutions.
