Page 2, Line 1SECTION 1. Appropriation. (1) For the 2025-26 state fiscal
Page 2, Line 2year, $75,124,421 is appropriated to the legislative department. This
Page 2, Line 3appropriation consists of $73,376,194 from the general fund, $5,000 from
Page 2, Line 4cash funds, and $1,743,227 from reappropriated funds. The legislative department may use this appropriation as follows:
Page 2, Line 5(a) $24,939,797 for use by the general assembly, which amount:
Page 2, Line 6(I) Consists of $24,934,797 from the general fund and $5,000
Page 2, Line 7from cash funds generated from the sale of bill boxes, legislative
Page 2, Line 8directories, and publications and other services provided by the print shop; and
Page 2, Line 9(II) Is based on the assumption that the general assembly will have 173.4 FTE;
Page 2, Line 10(b) $14,078,903 for use by the office of the state auditor, which amount:
Page 2, Line 11(I) Consists of $12,476,676 from the general fund and $1,602,227
Page 2, Line 12from reappropriated funds received from various departments for audits; and
Page 2, Line 13(II) Is based on the assumption that the office of the state auditor will have 83.1 FTE;
Page 2, Line 14(c) $3,043,526 for use by the joint budget committee, which amount is:
Page 2, Line 15(I) From the general fund; and
Page 2, Line 16(II) Based on the assumption that the joint budget committee will have 20.3 FTE;
Page 2, Line 17(d) $17,539,933 for use by the legislative council, which amount:
Page 2, Line 18(I) Consists of $17,398,933 from the general fund and $141,000
Page 2, Line 19from reappropriated funds received from the general assembly pursuant to section 24-70-203 (1)(a), C.R.S.; and
Page 3, Line 1(II) Is based on the assumption that the legislative council will have 109.9 FTE;
Page 3, Line 2(e) $10,907,250 for use by the committee on legal services, which amount is:
Page 3, Line 3(I) From the general fund; and
Page 3, Line 4(II) Based on the assumption that the committee on legal services will have 65.1 FTE; and
Page 3, Line 5(f) $4,615,012 from the general fund for the PERA Amortization
Page 3, Line 6Equalization Disbursement and PERA Supplemental Amortization Equalization Disbursement.
Page 3, Line 7(2) The general assembly anticipates that, during the 2025-26 state
Page 3, Line 8fiscal year, the tax levy on civil actions provided for in section 2-5-119,
Page 3, Line 9C.R.S., will return approximately $188,902 to the general fund to offset
Page 3, Line 10expenses of the revision of statutes by the office of legislative legal services. This figure is included for informational purposes only.
Page 3, Line 11SECTION 2. Appropriation. For the 2025-26 state fiscal year,
Page 3, Line 12$5,000 is appropriated to the youth advisory council cash fund created in
Page 3, Line 13section 2-2-1306, C.R.S. This appropriation is from the general fund. The
Page 3, Line 14legislative department is responsible for the accounting related to this appropriation.
Page 3, Line 15SECTION 3. In Session Laws of Colorado 2024, section 1 of chapter 493, (HB24-1347), amend (1)(d) as follows:
Page 3, Line 16Section 1. Appropriation. (1) For the 2024-25 state fiscal year,
Page 3, Line 17$73,587,761 is appropriated to the legislative department. This
Page 3, Line 18appropriation consists of $71,784,409 from the general fund, $90,000
Page 3, Line 19from cash funds, and $1,713,352 from reappropriated funds. The legislative department may use this appropriation as follows:
Page 4, Line 1(d) $17,444,682 for use by the legislative council, which amount:
Page 4, Line 2(I) Consists of $17,303,682 from the general fund and $141,000
Page 4, Line 3from reappropriated funds received from the general assembly pursuant to section 24-70-203 (1)(a), C.R.S.;
andPage 4, Line 4(II) Is based on the assumption that the legislative council will have 107.3 FTE; and
Page 4, Line 5(III) Includes $150,000 from the general fund that, if not
Page 4, Line 6expended prior to July 1, 2025, is further appropriated to the
Page 4, Line 7legislative department for the 2025-26 state fiscal year for use by the legislative council for document remediation;
Page 4, Line 8SECTION 4. Safety clause. The general assembly finds,
Page 4, Line 9determines, and declares that this act is necessary for the immediate
Page 4, Line 10preservation of the public peace, health, or safety or for appropriations for
Page 4, Line 11the support and maintenance of the departments of the state and state institutions.
