Joint Budget Committee. In state fiscal year 2023-24, the general assembly appropriated $1,400,000 from the general fund to the department of labor and employment to be used for the construction registered apprenticeship grant program. The bill reverts $222,701 of that appropriation back to the general fund on or before June 30, 2025.

Page 2, Line 2SECTION 1. In Colorado Revised Statutes, 8-83-701, amend (4)(a) as follows:
Page 2, Line 38-83-701. Construction registered apprenticeship grant
Page 2, Line 4program - created - reports - appropriation - definitions. (4) For the
Page 2, Line 52023-24 state fiscal year, the general assembly shall appropriate to the
Page 2, Line 6department of labor and employment for allocation by the office one
Page 2, Line 7million four hundred thousand dollars from the general fund for purposes
Page 2, Line 8of this section. Any unexpended money remaining at the end of the
Page 2, Line 92023-24 state fiscal year from the appropriation listed in this subsection (4):
Page 2, Line 10(a) Does not revert to the general fund or any other fund; except
Page 2, Line 11that, on or before June 30, 2025, two hundred twenty-two
Page 2, Line 12thousand seven hundred one dollars reverts to the general fund;
Page 2, Line 13SECTION 2. Safety clause. The general assembly finds,
Page 2, Line 14determines, and declares that this act is necessary for the immediate
