Joint Budget Committee. For money appropriated to the Colorado state university system for use by the Colorado state forest service to renovate and expand the seedling tree nursery, the bill extends the spending authority through the 2026-27 state fiscal year.

Page 2, Line 2SECTION 1. In Colorado Revised Statutes, 23-31-319, amend (6) and (8) as follows:
Page 2, Line 323-31-319. Forest service seedling tree nursery - necessary
Page 2, Line 4upgrades and improvements - definition - funding - reports - repeal.
Page 2, Line 5(6) Appropriation. For the 2022-23 and 2023-24 state fiscal years, the
Page 2, Line 6general assembly shall appropriate money to the Colorado state university
Page 2, Line 7system for allocation to and expenditure by the Colorado state forest
Page 2, Line 8service for the purposes specified in this section. Any money appropriated
Page 2, Line 9by the general assembly pursuant to this subsection (6) that is not
Page 2, Line 10expended before the end of the fiscal year for which it is appropriated
Page 2, Line 11remains available for expenditure for the same purposes until the close of the
2024-25 2026-27 state fiscal year.Page 2, Line 12(8) Repeal. This section is repealed, effective
January 1, 2026 June 30, 2027.Page 2, Line 13SECTION 2. Safety clause. The general assembly finds,
Page 2, Line 14determines, and declares that this act is necessary for the immediate
Page 2, Line 15preservation of the public peace, health, or safety or for appropriations for
Page 2, Line 16the support and maintenance of the departments of the state and state institutions.
