Joint Budget Committee. In current law, there is a gray and black market marijuana enforcement grant program (program) that awards law enforcement grants related to marijuana enforcement. The bill prohibits the program from awarding grants in fiscal year 2025-26. The bill repeals the program on June 30, 2026.

Page 2, Line 2SECTION 1. In Colorado Revised Statutes, 24-32-119, amend (1)(a); and add (6) as follows:

Page 2, Line 4grant program - report - definition - repeal. (1) (a) The gray and black
Page 2, Line 5market marijuana enforcement grant program is created in the division.
Page 2, Line 6The division shall award grants to local law enforcement agencies and
Page 2, Line 7district attorneys to cover, in part or in full, investigation and prosecution
Page 2, Line 8costs associated with unlicensed marijuana cultivation or distribution
Page 2, Line 9operations conducted in violation of state law. The division shall not award grants for fiscal year 2025-26.
