Concerning adjustments to appropriations made for the 2024-25state fiscal year to fund early intervention programs.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Colorado:
SECTION 1. Appropriation - adjustments to 2024 long bill. (1) To implement this act, appropriations made in the annual general appropriation act for the 2024-25 state fiscal year to the department of health care policy and financing are adjusted as follows:
(a) The general fund appropriation for transfer to the department of early childhood for early intervention is decreased by $2,000,000, which is subject to the "(M)" notation as defined in the annual general appropriation act for the same fiscal year; and
(b) The decrease in appropriations in subsection (1)(a) of this section is based on the assumption that the amount of federal funds received for transfer to the department of early childhood for early intervention will decrease by $2,000,000.
(2) Appropriations made in the annual general appropriation act for the 2024-25 state fiscal year to the department of early childhood are adjusted as follows:
(a) The general fund appropriation for use by the division of community and family services for early intervention is increased by $2,000,000; and
(b) The reappropriated funds for use by the division of community and family services for early intervention is decreased by $4,000,000.
SECTION 2. Safety clause. The general assembly finds, determines, and declares that this act is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, or safety or for appropriations for the support and maintenance of the departments of the state and state institutions.
