After consideration on the merits, the Committee recommends the following:
SB26-163 be amended as follows, and as so amended, be referred to the Committee of the Whole with favorable recommendation:
Page 1, Line 1Amend reengrossed bill, page 17, strike line 21 and substitute

Page 1, Line 18criminal history record check to determine the applicant's
Page 1, Line 19suitability for employment or licensing. The applicant is
Page 1, Line 20responsible for paying the cost of the record check. Nothing in
Page 1, Line 21this subsection (4) precludes the commission from making
Page 1, Line 22further inquiries into the background of an applicant.".
