After consideration on the merits, the Committee recommends the following:
SB25-258 be amended as follows, and as so amended, be referred to the Committee of the Whole with favorable recommendation:
Page 1, Line 1Amend reengrossed bill page 4, strike lines 7 through 11 and substitute:
Page 1, Line 2"SECTION 3. Act subject to petition - effective date. This act
Page 1, Line 3takes effect at 12:01 a.m. on the day following the expiration of the
Page 1, Line 4ninety-day period after final adjournment of the general assembly; except
Page 1, Line 5that, if a referendum petition is filed pursuant to section 1 (3) of article V

Page 1, Line 8effect unless approved by the people at the general election to be held in
