Statutory Revision Committee. The bill extends the repeal date of the reporting section of the "Colorado Child Abuse Prevention Trust Fund Act" from July 1, 2027, to July 1, 2030, to account for the deadline extension of the report evaluating the Colorado child abuse prevention trust fund from November 1, 2026, to November 1, 2029, as enacted by Senate Bill 24-135.

Page 2, Line 326.5-3-208. Report. (1) The department shall contract for an
Page 2, Line 4independent evaluation of the Colorado child abuse prevention trust
Page 2, Line 5fund created in section 26.5-3-206, as it existed prior to its repeal
Page 2, Line 6on July 1, 2027, including administrative costs of operating the trust fund
Page 2, Line 7and the cost-effectiveness and the impact of the grants on reducing and
Page 2, Line 8preventing child abuse. The department shall provide a report of the
Page 2, Line 9evaluation to the house of representatives and senate health and human
Page 2, Line 10services committees, or any successor committees, on or before November 1, 2029.

This part 2 is repealed, effective July 1, 2027.Page 2, Line 12SECTION 2. In Colorado Revised Statutes, add 26.5-3-209 as follows:
Page 2, Line 1326.5-3-209. Repeal of part. (1) Sections 26.5-3-201 to 26.5-3-207 are repealed, effective July 1, 2027.

Page 2, Line 19of the state constitution against this act or an item, section, or part of this
Page 2, Line 20act within such period, then the act, item, section, or part will not take
Page 3, Line 1effect unless approved by the people at the general election to be held in
Page 3, Line 2November 2026 and, in such case, will take effect on the date of the official declaration of the vote thereon by the governor.
