Page 1, Line 944-40-111 (12)(b) and any other money that the general assembly
Page 1, Line 10may appropriate or transfer to the fund. The state treasurer
Page 1, Line 11shall credit all interest and income derived from the deposit
Page 1, Line 12and investment of money in the fund to the fund.
Page 1, Line 13(b) Money transferred to the fund pursuant to section
Page 1, Line 1444-40-111 (12)(b) and any income and interest derived from the
Page 1, Line 15deposit and investment of such money is exempt from any
Page 1, Line 16restriction on spending, revenue, or appropriations, including,
Page 1, Line 17without limitation, the restrictions of section 20 of article X of
Page 1, Line 18the state constitution.
Page 1, Line 19(2) Money in the fund is continuously appropriated to the
Page 1, Line 20division for the following purposes, including the reasonable
Page 1, Line 21and necessary direct and indirect administrative costs incurred
Page 1, Line 22by the division in the implementation of the purposes:
Page 1, Line 23(a) The achievement of strategic outcomes or
Page 1, Line 24opportunities that advance outdoor recreation infrastructure
Page 1, Line 25and management that address:
Page 1, Line 26(I) Growing or future demands on infrastructure,
Page 1, Line 27experiences or lands; and
Page 2, Line 1(II) Current or expected impacts to wildlife, natural or
Page 2, Line 2cultural resources;
Page 2, Line 3(b) Uses outside regular activities within the Colorado
Page 2, Line 4state parks system, including through partnerships with federal
Page 2, Line 5land managers, nongovernmental or community organizations,
Page 2, Line 6state government entities, local or regional partnerships, or
Page 2, Line 7projects adjacent to or recent additions to the Colorado state
Page 2, Line 8parks system. The division shall prioritize parks and recreation
Page 2, Line 9cash fund money for uses on or associated with the Colorado
Page 2, Line 10state parks system.
Page 2, Line 11(c) Outdoor recreation infrastructure, prioritizing
Page 2, Line 12investments that both enhance recreational experiences and
Page 2, Line 13support resource protection, including:
Page 2, Line 14(I) Trail and river feature construction, maintenance and
Page 2, Line 15planning;
Page 2, Line 16(II) Signage;
Page 2, Line 17(III) Bathroom facilities, parking, or other physical
Page 2, Line 18infrastructure;
Page 2, Line 19(d) Outdoor recreation visitor management, including
Page 2, Line 20signage, public education, field and interpretive staffing, visitor
Page 2, Line 21and community safety, wildlife, and natural or cultural
Page 2, Line 22resource protection;
Page 2, Line 23(e) Increasing equity and accessibility in the outdoors,
Page 2, Line 24including but not limited to, field ambassadors, interpretive
Page 2, Line 25staffing, adaptive outdoor recreation infrastructure,
Page 2, Line 26equipment, and programs; and
Page 2, Line 27(f) Outdoor recreation and conservation analysis and
Page 2, Line 28planning, including data procurement and analysis, needs
Page 2, Line 29assessments, and data-oriented coordination or information
Page 2, Line 30sharing across associated federal, local, private, and state
Page 2, Line 31planning efforts.
Page 2, Line 32(3) The division may seek, accept, and expend gifts, grants,
Page 2, Line 33and donations, loans of money, or aid in any form from private
Page 2, Line 34or public sources for the purposes of this section. The division
Page 2, Line 35shall transmit all money received through gifts, grants, or
Page 2, Line 36donations to the state treasurer, who shall credit the money to
Page 2, Line 37the fund.".
