Under current law, the state charter school institute and each school district, board of cooperative services, and charter school is required to publicly report certain financial information online. The bill requires a school district to report all information for itself and for each of its traditional public schools beginning July 1, 2027. Each report must include additional information concerning actual marketing, student recruitment, lobbying, contractor, and education management provider expenditures and all sources of revenue.

Page 2, Line 6received from private sources as required to be posted by the
Page 2, Line 7institute, each school district for the school district as a whole
Page 2, Line 8and for each of the school district's schools that are not
Page 2, Line 9district charter schools, each board of cooperative services,
Page 2, Line 10and each charter school on their respective websites pursuant to section 22-44-304 (1)(g).
Page 2, Line 11SECTION 2. In Colorado Revised Statutes, 22-44-304, amend (1)(a)(IV); and add (1)(g) as follows:

Page 2, Line 13(1) (a) Commencing July 1, 2010, and on a continuing basis thereafter,
Page 2, Line 14the institute and each school district, board of cooperative services, and
Page 2, Line 15charter school shall post the following information online, in a downloadable format, for free public access:
Page 2, Line 16(IV) The institute's, school district's, BOCES's, or charter school's
Page 2, Line 17salary schedules or policies, adopted pursuant to sections 22-32-109.4 and
Page 2, Line 1822-63-401, commencing with those applicable to the 2010-11 budget year
Page 2, Line 19and, if the institute, school district, BOCES, or charter school
Page 2, Line 20has not adopted salary schedules or policies, it shall post the
Page 2, Line 21highest and the lowest educator salary and the highest and the
Page 3, Line 1lowest administrator salary commencing with those applicable to the 2026-27 budget year.

Page 3, Line 3continuing basis thereafter, the institute, each school district
Page 3, Line 4for the school district as a whole and for each of the school

Page 3, Line 11and amounts of revenue received from private sources may be
Page 3, Line 12reported in the aggregate by category. Private sources include individuals, corporations or other businesses, trusts, or estates.
Page 3, Line 13SECTION 3. Act subject to petition - effective date. This act
Page 3, Line 14takes effect at 12:01 a.m. on the day following the expiration of the
Page 3, Line 15ninety-day period after final adjournment of the general assembly; except
Page 3, Line 16that, if a referendum petition is filed pursuant to section 1 (3) of article V
Page 3, Line 17of the state constitution against this act or an item, section, or part of this
Page 3, Line 18act within such period, then the act, item, section, or part will not take
Page 3, Line 19effect unless approved by the people at the general election to be held in
Page 3, Line 20November 2026 and, in such case, will take effect on the date of the official declaration of the vote thereon by the governor.
