Automated setup - AWS Migration Acceleration Program 2.0 Tagging Guide

Automated setup

You can use the automated setup option to set up your management account(s) listed in your Migration Plan and activate the Cost Allocation Tag required for MAP 2.0. With the Automated setup option, you use an AWS CloudFormation template that creates the necessary resources and configuration in your account to correctly activate your AWS Billing and Cost Management - Cost Allocation Tag.

As part of this process, we generate the tags that you can use for MAP 2.0. The MAP tag will be activated in your Cost Allocation Tag menu.

Note

The logs generated by this script are not encrypted by default. Use the manual setup process if log encryption is a requirement. For more information about manually setting up your management (payer) account, see Manual setup.
