Firmware Update 1.7.5.0-25420:
Date: 5/23/2024
New Features:
- 2022-2024 WRX 6MT: Added Launch Control and Flat-Foot Shift Features
- Launch Control (LC) and Flat-Foot Shift (FFS) features have been added to the latest v300 COBB OTS maps.
- To use these features:
- Update the AP to the latest firmware version via the AP Manager software.
- Reflash the new v300 OTS map to the car via the "Change Map" function.
- If you have a custom tune, have your Protuner re-save the map in the latest software.
- Enable LC and/or FFS by adjusting the RPM limits to your desired values in the "Tune" -> "Adjustments" menu with the AP connected to the car.
- Initial values will be set to 8000 RPM after a reflash/reset. Lower the RPM to your desired limit to enable the feature and control its behavior.
- LC will be active when the clutch is in and vehicle is stationary.
- FFS will be active when the clutch is in and the vehicle is moving.
- Use only under safe and controlled conditions.
- For further details, please see the AP3 User Manual here
- Applications:
- 2022-2023 ADM WRX 6MT
- 2022-2024 USDM WRX 6MT
- 2022 ADM/USDM WRX: Added flash recovery code improvements
- In rare cases, the 2022 WRX ECU experienced a flash failure at 1% progress that was not recoverable by the AP. The ECU had to be sent directly to COBB for recovery.
- Latest v300 COBB OTS maps improve on the factory code to increase the chances that the AP can recover from this 1% flash failure.
- Improvement will be realized AFTER the new map is reflashed to the car or AFTER the first install of the AP with the new map.
- Users with custom tunes will need to have their Protuner re-save their map in the latest ATP software.
- When any flash failure occurs on the new maps, follow key cycle instructions dictated by the AP “Uninstall” recovery process.
- If AP fails to recover the ECU after several attempts, disconnect negative terminal of battery for 5 minutes and try again.
- If all else fails, get with COBB customer support.
- Applications:
- 2022 ADM WRX 6MT
- 2022 USDM WRX 6MT/CVT
- All existing 2022 WRX maps have been recalled
- Existing 2022 WRX maps cannot be flashed by the AP and are greyed out in the selection menu.
- For OTS maps, only the latest v300 maps and newer will be compatible for flashing.
- For custom tunes, users will need to have their Protuner re-save the map in the latest ATP.
- This is an effort to get customers on the latest flash code for the 2022 WRX that improves the chances of AP recovery with a 1% flash failure.
- Existing 2023 WRX maps (and just released 2024 WRX maps) are NOT recalled. They are not impacted by this change as they do not exhibit the 1% unrecoverable flash failure.
- Applications:
- 2022 ADM WRX 6MT
- 2022 USDM WRX 6MT/CVT
- Added newest available Subaru ECU updates for the 2022-2023 WRX
- Latest v300 COBB OTS maps have newest Subaru ECU code where applicable.
- This may address some common problems that Subaru has seen on these cars typically related to DTCs.
- Users with custom tunes will need their Protuner to re-save their map in the latest ATP software if the update is desired.
- Applications:
- 2022 ADM WRX 6MT
- 2022-2023 USDM WRX 6MT/CVT
- 2022-2023 ADM WRX 6MT Maps: Added features/improvements above where applicable (Map Notes here):

- Reactivated Accessport Auto On/Off Functionality for affected devices and incortporated improved logic
- Added "About Accessport → System Version"
- Datalog Compression: Reduced memory usage on Accessport by compressing datalogs
- On the Accessport, datalogs are saved in a compressed format (*.csv.gz)
- Accessport Manager (3.1.10 or higher) will un-compress logs upon saving to computer.
- Compression occurs in the background automatically when datalogging.
