Jesus Holy Spirit we welcome you this evening. Open our hearts and minds to receive and to understand. Getting past our our physical or five sense reasoning. We want to be taught corporately by you tonight and we want to be taught individually by you tonight in Jesus name. So we welcome you. We thank you that two or three are gathered in your name in your presence. You're here. So we receive that. We stand against and say no to any demonic thing or anything from the kingdom of darkness that would try to hinder what we're doing in any way shape or form. We say no to it and we speak Lord you be free to do what you want to do in Jesus name. Amen. Amen. You can be seated. Welcome everybody. Good evening. Welcome to you online. Good evening. We are going to jump right in and since last week was last week and this week are like two halves. We covered some things last week. First half we're going to cover the basic principle of finishing that the second half tonight. But since that was the first half we're going to go back and just briefly review to to spark your memory. Continually being under demonic attack or continually being in a situation where you're spiritually being buffeted or tormented is not a sign of spiritual strength. It's a sign of spiritual weakness. Remember that the disciples and Jesus didn't have the problem. And sometimes Christians today it just seems like it's never ending. It's just ongoing and I'm not saying it doesn't happen. But it's not a badge of honor. It's something that we're supposed to grow past. They couldn't touch Jesus. We talked about that. He had no sin in his life. John 14, the the demonic was coming. Satan was coming for him but couldn't touch him because he had nothing in him. That's why he had a lay down his life. The key to walking free is right in that verse. And if that's the only verse we had that's the only verse we would need is in John 14. The key to walking free of demonic activity is having them having nothing in us. No area where we are willfully aligning with the kingdom of darkness. If there are areas that they've got something in us, now we're not free. And that's the principle Jesus laid down. And you find it many many places through scripture and set of different ways. But you find it many places. Remember it's not the devil who we're really dealing with because none of us are I think really that important that the devil who is not an omnipresent being but a single entity can only be one place at one time that he would waste his time on us. So we're going to talk more about demons than the devil. The first thing we're focusing on and last week was the first half this week's the second half is self-deliverance. And there's a number of reasons for that. It's the sheer lack of believers or church people having demonic issues after acts too needs to say something to us. There's hardly any demons cast out after acts too if you've ever noticed that. And I don't know of any Christians after acts too who had demons cast out. Now I'm not saying it can't happen because I've been there done that you know if you listen to the first night you know that. But I think the reason is because number one in America we really don't take this serving God seriously enough. It's kind of watered down. And we're going to talk about that a little more tonight. And the second reason is because it's kind of watered down and we just do kind of a slip shot living for God. We're not really doing self-deliverance. And that is the key. You find that after acts too. But the thing we have to remember is you say, but Jesus dealt with them all the time and was casting demons out of others all the time. Yes. Now put that in its correct perspective. Matthew, Mark, Luke and John are in the Old Testament. They're under the Old Testament. I know they show up when you open your Bible New Testament, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. But the covenant Jesus was living under was the Old Covenant. Now he was showing us and transitioning us into the New Covenant. But you say, well, why did he have to cast so many demons out of so many people? Because they had no authority to get them out. Remember even with the disciples, Matthew 10 and Luke 10? He said, I give you authority. The average person wasn't saved. They didn't have the Holy Spirit. They had no authority over demons. So Jesus had to deal with it and he gave the authority to the disciples to deal with it. After the death and the resurrection of Jesus, specifically after the day of Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit came and the church began. Now every believer, Mark 16, every believer is endued with the authority and power to cast out demons. That was a whole new era. And the interesting part is there was a whole new era, but you don't read much of demons being cast out. So if I was going to kind of unroll that backwards, I would say what that's telling us is don't focus too hard on demons. They're not your problem. And that shows up in what we talked about last week and we'll show up again tonight. Demons really aren't the problem and getting rid of them is not the solve all. Well, if I got rid of demons, I wouldn't have my whatever sin problem is. No, your sin problem is why the demon might be there. But the demon doesn't come first and then the sin. The sin comes first and then the demon. James 1, everyone is led astray, led into sin. My translation, you can read it by demons. Is that what it says? What does it say? Our own evil desires. We are led into sin, tempted with sin, drawn into sin. Sin is conceived and eventually gives a birth in us, which now you've got a living entity growing inside of you because of our own evil desires, not because of demons. So getting rid of demons is not the catch all to set people free. Getting rid of sin is. And if you get rid of the sin, the demons go with it. So if we will live our Christian lives the way we're supposed to live our Christian lives, it won't be long. We won't have any demonic issues. That's why I don't think it's addressed much after Acts chapter two. The biggest thing we need to know to stay free of to live free, get free, stay free of demonic issues is two things. What is our authority? And get rid of sin and we'll touch that a little bit more here in a bit. We talked about sin being of the devil. We'll hit that scripture again here in a little bit. We talked about kingdoms cannot be divided against themselves. So, you know, you can attribute back and forth. We gave a few scriptures on authority. There's many more scriptures in this booklet. Now how many of you were able to access this online? Did you find it? Get it? Did it work for you? If not, we have a deal for you. We had a few people say that the online thing doesn't work for them. So we printed off some hard copies. We didn't print off enough for everybody because we didn't know how many we'd need. I think we got 14 or 15. Now a couple or three of you asked last week, can I have a hard copy? So you should be the first ones to get it. Then after that, we'll spread it around a little bit. And if we need more, we'll make more. But we're going to spend some time in this booklet because I'm teaching part of it. Between last week and this week, I'm teaching part of it. And then we're going to go directly into it and make application and talk about things. But this is what I've learned about deliverance. Deliverance is super easy if the person inside the body is fighting with you. If they're not fighting with you, this can drag on for years. And then that can go multiple ways. And we'll talk about some of that. So we want the person inside the body fighting with us. Of course, there's exceptions to that. We talked about them last week. I won't go over them. So here's where we ended. And if you could bring that James 4, 7 up, I don't know how deep in it is on the slides. It's like number 8 or 11 or there. Look at there. You found it. Boy, you're really good. Here is the self-deliverance scripture. Submit yourselves then to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. So let's jump in there tonight. The biggest thing, and I'm going to say it again, what I said last week, I'm going to say it now. The biggest things we need to know to get free and stay free of demonic issues are, what are your authority? That's number two. Resist the devil. What gives you the right to resist him? You've got to know. If you don't know that, he's going to mess with you. And remember the two things? What is our authority and stay free of willful sin? There's the first half. Submit yourselves to God. So if we will submit ourselves to God, stay free of willful sin and resist the devil because we know our authority. He will flee. It's that easy. This was never supposed to be a big problem in Christianity. It has become, in some cases, but it never was supposed to. So the first question we have to ask is, are we submitted to God? Here's the Strong's Hebrew and Greek Dictionary definition of that. Submit to subordinate reflexively, to obey, be under obedience. Obedient, Therese says it this way. To arrange under, be subject to, obey. Submit to one's control. Pretty easy. We have to be submitted. We have to be obedient. The less obedient we are, the less power we have. Now I'm talking about willful sin. Because thank God for grace because there's always sin in our life. Always. If we confess our sins, what verse am I quoting? First John 1, if we confess our sins, he's faithful and just to forgive us our sins, cleanses from all unrighteousness. Does anybody know the verse right in front of that? If anyone says he is without sin, he's a liar and deceived. So we all have areas of sin. The key is willful sin. We know better, but we're doing our own thing anyway. That is the key. Because in reality, once we know better and we're doing our own thing, we are willfully submitting to that kingdom. I know I shouldn't lie, but I'm going to anyway. You have just willfully submitted yourself to that kingdom. That's what it says in Romans 6. And the kingdom you submit yourself to, you will be a slave to. We cannot live in willful sin and be free of demonic forces. Period. You can't do that. Because wherever you are submitted to them, you're going to be under their control. Period. That's just the way it works. Let me back up before we go reading that. When you're dealing with getting people free, and this this rule holds true, like I said at the first night, I said there's many different ways people do this. The whole, I don't know of any two deliverance people who do it exactly alike. God just makes everything, He custom builds everything, including how we live for Him. But we all follow the same principles. I don't know of anybody who works in deliverance, who does not address sin. I don't know of anybody. There's there's some form of strongholds of some kind that are allowing the spirit beings to be present. That is called, typically, it's referred to as sin ground. Sin ground is all it's doing is saying, this is legal ground. When you submit yourself to the kingdom of darkness, by doing what the kingdom of darkness does, it becomes legal ground for them to have an access to your life. So the whole key of... Pastor, I got demonic problems, whether they're in me, whether they're harassing me, whether they're in the house, whether whatever. The first thing we ask ourselves, are we in willful disobedience any place? We need to clean that up best we can. Now, you know, you don't have to live for God 30 years. You repent of it. You confess it as sin. And repent means a change of mind. You were going this way, you turn, and now you're going this way. You have to change your mind about the thing you're sinning in. If you like lying, you're going to have to change your mind about lying and go to truth if you want to deal with demonic stuff, whether you're in yourself or in others. Because remember, a kingdom divided against itself can't stand. So if I willfully choose to hang on to lying, and I get in a deliverance situation where I'm needing to help somebody else, that being will draw on the darkness in me and not leave. It's just the craziest, craziest thing, how it works. Most of the time, if they've manifested and they're speaking, they won't tell you. And the Holy Spirit has to point it out. But like I said, if you get them wound up enough and they get bragging, then sometimes they'll slip and they'll throw it out. What the problem is. And last week I gave the example of Halloween. And that first time that happened with me and so forth. But so the willful sin issue is absolutely huge. Now look at this verse. Here's out of the amplified. Whoever commits practices. Now this isn't a one time thing. This is a ongoing we're doing it. Willful. This is you can't be ongoing doing it by mistake. Follow me? You know, I steal every time I go to Walmart by mistake. It's just, it's an oops. No, it's a willful choice. I mean, if it's a habitual thing, you're willfully involved. Whoever commits or practices, this is something that on goes. Sin also commits lawlessness. So it's of the spirit of lawlessness and I Christ. And sin is lawlessness. So if you want to know what is sin, it's lawlessness. This will be in God's loss. And you know that he was manifested to take away our sins. And in him there is no sin. So Jesus came to get rid of our sins because there's no sin in him. Whoever abides in him does not sin. Now notice how the amplified opens that up. Deliberately, knowingly, habitually practices sin. That is willful sin. Whoever abides in Jesus does not deliberately, knowingly, habitually practice sin. If you do, you're not abiding in Jesus because you've submitted and given yourself over to the other kingdom. Read on. Whoever habitually sins has neither seen him nor known him. You know what he just said? A Christian who habitually lives in sin is not saved. They have never seen Jesus. They have never known him. There's something that takes place in a truly born-again believer. However, we want to be like him and less like him. And it's a lifetime process. But there is an inborn desire to be like Jesus. If we don't have that desire, the question is, are we born again? Are we really saved? According to what John is saying, we're not. If we habitually just live in sin and this is no big thing to us, we have never neither seen him nor do we know him. Verse 7, little children, let no one deceive you. So now he's going to get really blunt here. He who practices righteousness is righteous. Just as he, capital H, Jesus, is righteous. He who sins practices evil doing. Willful sin is of the devil. I don't care if you call yourself a Christian or not. There, in my opinion, is why in America we have people who struggle with demonic problems but say they're saved. It's right there. They practice evil doing. That says which kingdom that puts us under. I mean, don't get angry with me. That's John talking. For the devil has sinned from the beginning. That's his method of operations, who he is. For this purpose, the reason he's sinned from the beginning and he draws us in. For this purpose, the Son of God was manifested that he might destroy the works of the devil. Verse 9, whoever has been born of God does not sin. Now, keep that in context. The habitual, deliberately ongoing sin, practicing sin. Whoever has been born of God does not habitually, willfully, deliberately on go, get involved in ongoing sin. For his seed, speaking of God, his seed remains in him. He cannot sin. You just, as a born again Christian, you can't do it. You will come under so much conviction of the Holy Spirit, you will be absolutely miserable. And if you're not miserable, sinning, you're not saved. We have a whole different problem here. Because Christians who are deliberately, willfully sinning, are miserable. Because the Holy Spirit's all over, I'm trying to convince them, don't do this. So this is a wake up call for the church. Maybe some of us here tonight. Well, I do stuff that I know is wrong. It doesn't bother me at all. I question if you're saved. You're of the devil's kingdom. He's been a sinner since the beginning. It didn't bother him either. Doesn't bother you. Something's wrong with this. Right? Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for his seed remains in him. He cannot sin, because he's been born of God. In this, the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest. You can tell which kingdom someone's from, by watching the sin factor in their life. Now I'm not talking about an oops moment, a mistake moment. I'm talking about willful choices of sin. Now if you're dealing with someone, who has got demonic problems, claim they're a Christian, but they are willfully choosing sin. They're not fighting it, like Roman 7 talks about the fight, and how that we wrestle to do what we should, and sometimes we struggle, and grace covers all that. That's not an issue. As long as we're working to be sanctified, that's not a problem. But it's the person who's just really doing nothing and just bouncing along. Until you get them saved, you won't get the demons off of them. Because literally, if they're just bouncing along in sin, they're not saved. If it's not bothering them, they're not saved. I didn't say that. John said that. So those scriptures say why I say willful sin. Just this one point. To get free from demonic activity, we have to submit to God and deal with willful sin. So, this book is not about getting us saved. But if we're not saved to be good to get saved before we try doing this, or we could end up like the sons of Sceva. Jesus, I know. This Vern guy, I know. I know Dave Rogers. I know Walt and Molly. Who the heck are you? Well, I'm so-and-so. I've been saved for five years. Don't even know you. Be good to get saved first. You say, wow, you're drawing a straight line. That's because that's what deliverance is all about. You cannot have one foot in each kingdom and live free. Can't do it. And this is where the Church of America is failing the people. Because we are telling them you can live with one foot in the world and one foot in God. And you're fine because God loves you so much and you're under grace. That scripture we just read says the opposite. It even questions our salvation, if that's where we're at. So, confess our sin. He's faithful and just to forgive and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. And I usually hook demons underneath that and I'll announce it to him. If I'm getting somebody saved, I'll get him saved and I'll give that scripture. If we confess our sins, which this person just did, he's faithful and just to forgive and cleanse from all unrighteousness. Any demonic thing is unrighteous. God is about to cleanse this person of you because they confess their sin. Notice how living cleansed or free is tied with confessing sin. That's always tied together. It's always there. One more scripture. Repent therefore and be converted that your sins may be blotted out so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord. Repent therefore. Well, if we don't repent and we're not converted, our sins won't be blotted out and times of refreshing will not come. I just struggle. I just struggle. I get, you know, I get, I hate to go to, I, there's a lot of times people struggle at night and they see things, they feel things, there's stuff happening in their room or whatever and they just know there's demons there. I just struggle and I just struggle and I just struggle. What are you willfully into that you shouldn't be? What's giving them legal right to harass you? That's my first question. My second question has to do with resisting and we'll talk about that in a bit. Let's go on. Those scriptures deal with, so that was willful sin on our part, those scriptures deal with generational sin. There are things that can be passed down to us that we have to deal with and those scriptures give the layout of how that works. In fact, something that is really interesting, which, you know, we read things but don't always read it, but something that is really interesting is when you read the New Testament and they're crucifying Jesus or Pilate's trying to decide if he's going to crucify Jesus and his wife warned him, don't do this. So he comes out and he says, if I do this, and he took water and he washes his hands, he said his blood is not on me. In other words, I'm not going to be held guilty or liable accountable for his death. What did the people say? Remember? Put them on me and my children. We will accept it. They just led a generational curse into their family line concerning killing Jesus. Well, they invited it. They just opened it up and said, so it works or and they know, you know, the Jewish mind, they know a lot more about some of this stuff than we do. They knew it worked. So they just opened themselves up to it and said it. So there is such a thing as generational sin. Now it's not all demonic spirits. Generational things can be messed up by teaching an example. You know, I've watched grandma. Let me ask you this question. Grandma raised the son who got into drugs and lost his children because he was so full of drugs. So they took the children and gave them to grandma. What do you think is going to happen? Same thing. Somehow grandma messed up her family and they went into drugs, but she won't do it with the grandchildren. Sure she will. She don't know any better. Some things are just taught by example or taught by precept and they go on from generation to generation to generation. That's one way of generational transfer. Genetics is another way of generational transfer and they're really learning a lot about this. It's really an interesting realm. But literally some of the weaknesses of our parents can be traced in our DNA. So if they struggled with something and never overcame it, now we are, you know, when I was young they said the DNA is locked in can never be changed. They have totally just proven that. The DNA, our DNA is changing on an ongoing basis depending upon what we're choosing to do and how we're living life. So if grandpa had something that he didn't overcome, let's go on an Old Testament example. Abraham, when he got pushed in a corner he would lie. There's two, three times it's recorded. You get pushed in a corner, one was with his wife. Is Saria your wife? Oh no, she's my sister because he was afraid the king was going to kill him to take his wife. She's my sister. So he was, she was I guess actually his half-sister but he denied the whole thing so that he wouldn't get in trouble with the king, okay? What about Isaac? Isaac, have any problems with lying? He did. What about Jacob? Oh, it increased now. By the time we get to Abraham's grandchildren, Jacob, now we're beginning to have a bigger problem. What about Jacob's 12 sons? Oh my goodness, we have a mess. They are proving some of that is by genetics. There is a weakness in the system to a certain thing and it's just, it's easy to go there. Now you want to find out something else that in my mind is even scarier. We can carry some of the memories of our ancestors via the DNA. Some of the things they did, their memories can come up in us because they're in our DNA. So if they, if it happened before we were conceived, that DNA load comes on to us and they're actually proving some of the memories we have can be of our parents or grandparents. So it's generational stuff that's passed on by genetics and then you've got demonic spirits to pass on. Now, from my understanding, the generational stuff with generational spirit, sins of the fathers. And there's a reason it's said that way. We won't go into it tonight or we won't get as far as we need to. Sins of the fathers passes on some... I used to think this, but I'm moving further and further away from this, in that what my ancestors struggled with will jump on me, grab me by the throat and try to choke me, and I have no choice in the matter. I used to think that and I don't think that so much anymore. Now they have right to the lineage for three to four generations, which means they're going to work on getting in, but to get in, the person has to make themselves a landing pad. How do we make ourselves a landing pad? Sin, okay? So I am leaning more towards we give them permission. Like for instance, some people have witchcraft in their family. And I've talked to people and they say, I have never done witchcraft in my life. Why would witchcraft be in my family? Have you ever rebelled against anything? Because rebellion is equal with witchcraft. Rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft. Stubbornness is co-equal with idolatry. So if you've had ancestors who worshiped idols and now you're being harassed by generational demons and you say, I have never worshiped an idol in my life. Yes, but have you ever gotten stubborn on something with God? There's your idol. There is the landing pad. Murder, what did Jesus say? Murder is co-equal with being angry with someone without a cause. We might think we have a cause, but you know, that's how Jesus said it. And adultery, well there's spirits of adultery in our family. We have been faithful. We've never been in adultery. But what did Jesus say? Adultery is co-equal with looking at someone in lust and wishing you could. Wanting to. Now you just committed adultery in your heart. See, so my understanding has more developed into this is not a guaranteed whatever the ancestors have are just going to grab that baby by the throat when it comes out of the womb and it's just basically doomed. Ha. That's why in certain families certain of the children pick up these problems and other of the children pick up these problems and that child looks like all hell broke loose on them. But if you follow the attitudes of the children, they're all opening themselves and submitting in different ways. So different stuff has the ability to land and stick. But generational stuff can be dealt with too. You know, it's not an end all. You have to submit to God and then you have to resist the devil. Here's the definition of resisting the devil. To stand against. Oppose. Withstand. It's a primary participle part to Particle. Slow down. I can say it. It's a primary particle which means opposite or instead of. I'll give you an example of this here in a bit. Therese says it this way. To set oneself against. To withstand. To oppose. Over against them. Opposite them. Before them. Dominic, can I use your help? Yes. Okay, could you stand right there? Yes. So if you're something that I'm supposed to resist scripturally, like you're representing a demon or something. When it says I am supposed to resist him, I don't go. What's a demon? And I get away from it. That is not resisting it. I don't go. Okay. In Jesus name. No, no, no. That's not resisting it. According to those definitions, you set yourself against it. You set against. So when you sense a demonic activity, you go to it. You do not. Scared you a little bit there, didn't I? Didn't know it's coming next. Yeah, I won't touch you. It's all good. You don't back up in any way, shape or form. To resist. Remember, I said, sometimes people see things like I had someone a while back. This is a few weeks back. They said they felt they saw something in their car. And they just floored it and got home and jumped out of that thing around to the house. That is not resisting. It'll chase you in the house because you just set yourself up as a victim, powerless. Resist is open the back seat. Climb out, open the rear door, whatever. You come stand right here. I'm going to talk to you now. And you get right opposite of it. You withstand it. You're before it. You go right in its face and tell it what your authority is and what it has to do. Thank you. That was very good. I had one guy. I demonstrated that a few years ago. And I came up to him like I came up to you and his fist clenched like... You didn't know what I was going to do. He's ready to pop me one. But to resist the devil, you have to do the opposite of what they're trying to make you do. They're trying to encourage you to do something. If they're trying to encourage you into fear, you have to do the opposite. You resist them. For example, when people are afraid, every light in the house goes on. You just gave in to it. Turn the lights off, all of them. And say, whatever is in this house, you come stand right in front of me in the name of Jesus. You and I have a discussion to have right now. And your hair will stand up and you will feel, you know, those goosebumps go through you because you can feel this entity come. Now you resist him. How do you do that? You stand in your authority. I have been given authority over you. And there's a lot of things in the booklet that you can use. One for example is, we are made in the God class. They are not. We have been given authority over them in the name of Jesus. You just tell them. I don't know what you're doing here, but you're not staying here. And you talk to them, you can feel them, might not be able to see them. Now sometimes people can see them. That makes it a little harder because they're ugly and they're scary in there. They're not of this world. And it makes it a little harder to stay out of fear. But resist them. You never back up from a demon. You always step in right tight up to them and demand they give you their obedience. If they sense fear, you'll never get them out. You just won't get them out. They will draw on your own fear. And to begin with, you know, some of the ugly experiences I had, there was fear that would... it was there. And I would just confess it. God, my flesh is afraid right now. I will confess this. As sin. Help my unbelief in this whole area. But I got to deal with this. And it just... it's like there's no fear there at all. He just overrides it. You're forgiven of it. It's gone. But be quick to put that kind of stuff under the blood. If you're dealing with something, trying to get rid of something, and some sin you did runs through your mind. Stop the whole wagon right there. And say, I confess what I did there was sin. Forgive me. I repent of it, which means I'm going to work on change mind here. I'm going to go a different direction. But I confess it is sin. So right now I'm cleansed of it. And then go on. Don't... Well, I'll deal with that later. You can't do that with demons. They will harass you till the sun goes down. Or comes up, depending upon which end you're working. Because they've got you. You're in their kingdom. You're living in willful sin. But you're trying to cast them out. They've got you. And they'll play with you all day long. Doesn't work. So part of resisting is... The part of resisting is binding and loosing. We talked about this some Sunday. It's just saying yes or no. You say no to them. When you're dealing with demons, it's not a whole lot of yes other than, yeah, you can go get out of here. But you say no to them. Also another part of resisting is you speak to them. Jesus rebuked him. He said, be quiet. Come out of him. Why did Jesus tell them to be quiet? A few verses later. And demons also came out of many, crying out and saying, you are the Christ, the Son of God. See, so now there what they were saying was truth, was accurate. So not everything they say is a lie. And he rebuking them did not allow them to speak. Why? For they knew he was the Christ and he didn't want a witness of demons of who he was. He wanted people to discover who he was on their own by the Holy Spirit, not because a demon said so. And you speak to him. And when evening had come, they brought to him many who were demon possessed. He cast out the spirits with a word. You speak them out. And we're going to talk about how to do some of that stuff. So, if you have a booklet on your device, go there if you would. We're going to go to page 17. If you wanted a booklet, needed a booklet, some of you had asked for one last week. You're the first to get them. There was three of you, I believe. So I will give those out. The rest are up for grabs. No stampeding anybody. And there are five bucks a piece. It should go to the media department. Can you hand them out for me? Follow them, because if he goes that way, the time he comes around, they're going to be gone. And if we need more of them, we'll make more of them. But we didn't want to make 50 of them, and then 45 of them sit here. So I'll go over here and I'll talk until they're done. Go to bottom of page 16. If you're following online, you've got your booklet, pull it up in your device, bottom of page 16. If you're here and you're following on your device, go to the bottom of 16. Here are some of the things we just said. Basic principles to spiritual warfare. And this book is called spiritual warfare basics. If you want to enter into spiritual warfare, there's some basic principles. Number one, it's good to be saved. Because if you're not even out of that kingdom, you have no authority over a period. And the guy who helped mentor me in deliverance said, I won't even try to get somebody free if I don't know they're saved. So the first thing I go after is I get them saved. Well, Jesus didn't do that. Jesus couldn't get them saved because salvation hadn't come yet. He was it. He had to die and rise from the dead before salvation came. So you've always got to make that distinction. He was living under a different covenant. It is much easier if you're baptized in the Holy Spirit. You're a tongue talking, radical believer. You say, why would that be? Well, let me just give you an example. How many mainline denominational people who do not believe in, in most of them believe what we're baptized in the Holy Spirit when we're saved, which is not scriptural. The Holy Spirit comes and indwells us when we're saved. But the baptism of the Holy Spirit is a second sub-sequential work. It says that all the way through Acts. So, and with that comes speaking in tongues and everything else. How many mainline denominations who don't teach the subsequent baptism in the Holy Spirit with speaking in tongues? They just say, oh, you got it when you were saved. And that's all it is. How many of them ever cast out demons? Let's just get blunt. How many Lutherans you know cast out demons? How many Baptists you know cast out demons? Now, I always think that really surprised me is because the guy who mentored me was a Baptist. I said, how can you be Baptist and cast out demons? Why don't they kick you out of the convention? He said, that's a good question. He said, they brought it up. That's what he said. He said, they brought it up, but they don't understand what I'm doing. And there's results. So they're nervous about doing anything against me, so they're just letting me alone. It's like, okay, whatever works for you. How many Episcopalians, Methodists, Catholics, just go on and on and on? How many of them do you know they cast out demons? If I have a demonic problem, I can go to them and they'll get rid of them. Now, give Catholics the effort. They try. And if you're a Charismatic Catholic, well, there you go. You got the power now. But by and large, the average one, there's no demons being cast out. It never happens. A couple of Sundays ago, it happened right over here. And it wasn't even me who got involved. I don't have to because they that believe will cast out demons. So it's, to me, if you want to get in spiritual warfare, you need the full meal deal. Get baptized in the Holy Spirit. We're speaking in tongues. I'm not saying it doesn't work without it, but it must not work very well because most people who are not baptized in the Holy Spirit that way don't do it. So it mustn't work well. And then you get movies like The Exorcist where they're doing all kinds of things, trying to get them out and throwing holy water at them and crosses and crucifixions and relics and... Yeah, there's a better way. Jesus did it with a word. And the Spirit of God drove them out. Number three, you need to be clean of willful sin. Number four, the more full of the Spirit you are, the easier it will be because we're supposed to be being filled with the Spirit on a continual basis. You must be clawed with the full armor of God. If, for instance, loins gird about with truth, that's a picture of we need to be living in truth. Our mind needs to be in truth. If we are into lying, we are open game to the devil or the demonic attacking us because we're not girded with truth. So the things that the armor are depicting, it'd be good to have them on. Number six, you must command them. You must command them. Don't ask Jesus to drive them out. He won't. It's not his job anymore. He said, I give you authority over them. What he did, we do. Jesus commanded them. We have to command them. You speak to them and command what they do. You will not find one place in Scripture where Jesus asked the Father to get a demon out of somebody. He didn't pray, oh Father, deliver this person of this demon. You won't find one place because he had been given the authority to deal with them. So he just commanded them. Now we have been given the authority. So we follow his example. We command them. That is a huge key, especially if you come out of a mainline denomination because so many times I hear them praying, oh Lord deliver them. Oh Jesus, cast it out. Oh, it won't work. And there's a, it's kind of like there's a fear to step into their authority because somehow it feels unrighteous. It feels unholy. To say, I have the power. Oh no, you don't have, yes I do. I was endued with power when the Holy Spirit came upon me. That's why he came. What did Jesus say? Act 1-8, stay where you're at. Don't go do anything. When the Holy Spirit comes, he's going to endu you with dynamite. Dynamos is the word. We're carrying around the power. He gave it to us. That's why it's good to be baptized in the Holy Spirit. So now let's go into some practical stuff for the 10 minutes we have left before we go to questions and answers. Let me ask this. Go to page 25. Let me ask this. How many of you have questions? So I know stuff we're going to need to talk about tonight. You got questions. We won't start now but just raise your hand. So I know. Oh cool, not too many yet. So maybe we can go a little longer on the teaching part. Get a little further because we won't need as much time for questions. You good with that? Okay. So you online we're going to go a little further past eight o'clock. So page 25, the bottom of it. Well, let's go to the middle number C. The top line says the keys of the kingdom are forbidding and binding, allowing and loosing, according to what the Holy Spirit reveals to us. God expects, it's in capitals there, God expects that we will not only stop the demonic from messing with us. He expects that we will send them running. They're not supposed to hang around. Well, I can't mess with them today, but I'm going to hang around and see if I can do it tomorrow. No, they're supposed to be running from us. What did I get that from? What verse? Anything come to your mind right offhand? James 4-7, submit, resist, and he will flee. He won't hang around. He'll flee. He'll run. So the whole concept, and I've said this before and now is a good time to say it again so it gets on these recordings, the whole concept of, and I heard this growing up, you know, on Sunday nights we had testimony service and people would get up and testify about what God's doing in their life and then you always had those one or two that it's like, oh God, they shouldn't get up and say nothing. This is going to be a disaster. And usually it started with the devil has been after me all week. Right there. Just go ahead and sit down because the rest of what you got to say is going to be totally unscriptural because you just started unscriptural. Why are you letting the devil chase you? When you're called to get into that space, resist him to the point he turns and just runs, or they turn and just run. So the whole concept of, well the devil's been after me, that's a problem with you. You know, the laws use the word devil. Well, first of all, it hasn't been the devil, it's some demon. But the reason they're after you is not a problem with them, it's a problem with you. You're afraid, you're not grounded in your authority, maybe you don't know your authority, something's wrong because if I sense there's a demonic presence behind me, the first thing scripturally I'm obligated to do is wheel around and face it. You can't withstand it and resist it and get opposite of it if you're going that way. So don't run from them. You'll never get free of them if you run. It's like on the playground. Remember those days, grade school? You get the bully and if you start running from the bully, it doesn't take long, it's like others gather and pretty soon you've got this multitude chasing you. That's how it works with the demonic realm. If you run from them, we got a live one. Let's get on this and they just... Don't run from them. Let her see, be prepared to be specific with your words and what you're speaking. The better you can hear the voice of the Holy Spirit, the easier this is. But even when you can't, if you know it's a spirit, be very specific in what you're going to say. The whole thing of go away, I don't like you. And even that tone of voice, well, I don't like you. Please, please get out, get away. Get away, okay? That's not a good tone. It's not good words. If you can't say anything else in authority, bind it. Say no. And then if you're just pause going, what do I say next? What do I say next? Well, what are you saying no to? Well, I want her to leave me alone. No, get out of here in Jesus' name. Be very specific with what you're trying to accomplish. It's explained in here, the guy who helped me, he said the bottom letter D. In your thinking, focusing and speech, view it as if you are shooting arrows or darts at the target. Be precise and release your words with intent and with anointing. And I don't know how much we'll talk about releasing our faith in this. But if you ever heard the phrase, just release your faith. How many of you know how to do that? I won't ask for raising hands. I mean, Doug Stanton says it, Oral Roberts said it, Lester Somerall said it. Well, I could just go on listing. Kenneth Hagan said it. Just release your faith. Remember what I said Sunday morning? Faith is like a substance. It's inside of us. Focus that. You know how... Okay, we're on a side shot, but that's okay. You know how in cartoons, especially, they have the little cartoon characters when they're trying to overcome something and they've got superpowers. Some of them blow it from their chest, some of them blow it from their hand. It's just the light goes and everything repels backwards. That's releasing faith. They are using a spiritual principle usually tied to a demonic entity. Faith is a substance that you feel. You focus it and you release it on the thing. Just... And you can feel it go. Just like... You say, well, that can't be scriptural. Well, what did Jesus talking about when he said, I felt virtue leave me? Who touched me? See, Jesus was used to releasing the power in him and this woman snuck up on him and took it before he released it and he felt it go. And he said, somebody touched me. Somebody grabbed it and pulled it right out of me. Who is it? And then he commended her for it. Good job, honey. Because see, that's how it's supposed to work. When we pray for someone, we should release our faith on them as much as they can receive it. Sometimes it goes out and bounces back to you because you can feel it. It just... Brother Hagin says it's like a mirror. It's back. He said, move on. They're not ready for it. They're not going to receive it. Someone we know well goes... What's he doing? It's a physical way he's trying to release his faith. It's all he's doing. Releasing his faith. If we pray for people without releasing our faith, focusing it, we'll get less results. I'm not saying you get no results. You just get less results. The powers in us put it into them. That's all I can say about that now. If you have questions, we'll talk about it later. Flip the page over to 26. Everything we talked about to this point, which we won't review at all. We've talked about it some. We need to use as kingdoms. Binding and loosening, the words of our mouth. Keep standing or resisting. Top of page 27. You cannot be fearful. You cannot be timid. And be led by the Holy Spirit. That is a growing thing. And the best thing I can say there is, pay attention to the Spirit with one ear. While your eyes and the other ear are working here, listen. You say, how do you do that? You willfully make a choice to say, Holy Spirit, what am I supposed to do now? You don't want to say it out loud. You can, but you don't have to. And you're listening while you're dealing with this. Sometimes it's best just to stop and back up a bit. Say, hang on a second. And just back out of their presence. Enough. Holy Spirit, what am I supposed to do with this? And expect him to speak to you. And he will. And then you step back in and you deal with it. Especially in deliverance. The more we can be led by the Spirit, the easier it is. Remember in my story to begin with, I couldn't hardly hear God's voice. I thought I could. Because I'd get convicted of sin. That's hearing the Lord's voice. I had gotten words of knowledge. I had prophesied. That's hearing God's voice. You know, I thought, you know, I can hear God's voice. I'm doing okay. There was different decisions I made. And the Holy Spirit told me specifically. Like that first pastorate where it got really exciting. He told me I have to get, because that's in a situation where they vote you in. It's not appointed. They vote you in. And he said, you've got to get 93% or more of the vote to take this church. He specifically told me that. So I knew I could hear his voice. But when it came to warfare time. Where are you? I can't hear you. Because your own emotions stir up. And it's hard to hear God when you're not at peace. So it's a growing thing. But the goal is to be led by the Spirit, because it's the Holy Spirit who drives them out. And just do the best you can. And he's faithful. He won't let you be tempted beyond what you're able or get in a situation you can't handle. You might wrestle with it a while. That's okay. It's how you get stronger. It's not a failure. It's not a defeat. It's how you get stronger. So let's talk about a couple of these things. Influences from the outside. We'll talk just a little bit here. On page 27, it talks about getting rid of demons. Different situations. Influences from the outside. Page 29, infestation from the inside. And we haven't, like I said, we haven't got a chance to teach you how that works yet. But we'll get there eventually. And page 31, getting them out of your house or property. And page 33, cleansing items. Or certain things that need to get the demons off of. You can get demonic forces off basically anything. But there are some things that you should just get rid of. Because there is no representation of God or his kingdom. Period. Can you think of any of those? What would it be? Terror cards. That's a good one. Just get rid of them. Halloween decorations. Halloween decorations. Typically, have you seen the new one this year? They've got these 10 or 12 foot tall skeletons. Isn't that a depiction of life? Jesus said, I am life. Skeletons are a depiction of death. The opposite of life. What else? Maybe. An urn. Could be. Ungodly entertainment. Magazines that are opposite. Magazines are books that are opposite of the kingdom. Let me give you some real simple ones. I don't know how big they are now. They were really big years ago, but I don't know how big they are now. Somebody asked and I couldn't remember the name last week and now I remember it, so I'm going to say it. Ah, Pokemons. You cannot pray over Pokemons and sanctify them. Does anybody know what a Pokemon is? It's a representation of a... It's not a demon. It is a demon from our perspective, but from their perspective, it's Japanese gods. That's why they fight with each other and they try to overcome each other and some have way more strength than others. These are all... They originate in Japan. Pokemon originates in Japan. It was... And all these little figurines are to represent their gods, the various gods. They can, but they don't have to. Jesus has tattoos. Jesus has tattoos. He has the king of kings tattooed on his thigh. We have a message on that that usually causes people who've never heard of this before to, you know, opens their eyes a bit. The father has every believer's hand, every believer's name tattooed on his hands. Yeah, it's tattoos in and of themselves are a neutral thing. It's what they're trying to represent. Now, if you're going to tattoo yourself with skull and bones, crossbones, well, that's not representing life again. It's representing death. So, and the one thing in the Old Testament that's absolutely forbidden is tattooing for the dead. You don't make a tattoo for grandma. And there's people who do that. So, if you've got questions, hang on, we'll go to questions here in a couple of minutes. All of a sudden, here we go. There are rules to the road, but tattoos in and of themselves are not bad. So, let's start on this, and then I want you to read through this before next week, and we're going to come back, and then we're going to... I'm going to give examples. You could use the word role play or whatever, but I'm going to walk you through what do you say and do, because it's listed in here. What do you say? What do you do to get demons out? Well, we'll walk you through it and give you examples. We'll do it. I'll give you words. I'll say things. Hang on to the questions. We'll be with you in a second. Influences from the outside. These are things that you sense and feel around you. It gives a list there. You can sense them. You can feel them. They're physical manifestations. You can see them. You can see their figure. You might have poltergeist stuff where things are floating around the room. You hear them. You hear them speaking to you. They touch you. You wouldn't believe how many women are... They never want to really talk about it, because they think they're going crazy, but they can feel things touching them at night. That's influence from the outside. You can get rid of that. You can smell them. If you smell demons almost 100% of the time, they're called unclean. Jesus called them unclean. They're very repugnant in their smell. And the best thing I can tie it to is sulfur. They smell sulfur-ish, burning hair. That kind of thing. It's just like, eee, that's nasty. If you smell that, you're probably, for whatever reason, smelling into that realm. So there's a number of things that are listed there. And then on page 28, it says, this is what you do. This is how you deal with it. So next week, we will start there. So let's say you know you've got a demon in your house. Well, next week, we're going to show you how to chase it out. The way I learned how to do it. And there's other people who do it differently. And that's fine. I have no problem with that. But I will walk you through this. And then we'll walk through the infestation from the inside. You say, I can sense one in me. I know I've got one. Why do you get it out? Well, I got to go to somebody and get prayed for. No, you don't. We're talking about self-deliverance here. When you sense them, why are you letting them sit there? Get them out. Right now. You don't have to wait. Get them out. Well, I don't know how. Ah, we're going to eat you. We're going to show you how to do it. What to say, how to approach it. We're going to walk you through that. So that'll be next week.
