How to stay free from demonic problems, how to hold our land, our land being, 01:00.480 --> 01:07.400 our physical body. And it's comparing the Israelites and them conquering their promised land, 01:07.880 --> 01:14.260 the principles there to us conquering our promised land or our body. The picture of that is 1st 01:14.260 --> 01:21.740 Corinthians 10, 1 through 13. The overall emphasis of the book is self-deliverance 01:22.260 --> 01:31.460 to keep ourself clean. Let me give you the question and then I can give the 01:31.460 --> 01:37.040 answer. It makes more sense. I had someone say they got a hold of me since our last 01:37.040 --> 01:42.740 meeting and in between here they got a hold of me. And they said, I think I need deliverance. 01:42.740 --> 01:52.840 I said, okay, you might. What are you doing for self-deliverance? And they said, I don't know how, 01:53.120 --> 01:56.660 even though they had been here a number of times during that part of the series. 01:58.700 --> 02:05.060 I said, go back and listen to it again, reread the material. And that's not just for them. 02:06.100 --> 02:14.080 This has to get past our head into our heart. And it's easy to get it in the head. And then 02:14.080 --> 02:20.140 three weeks later we can't even remember. Well, then it's time to revisit it and get it to drop 02:20.140 --> 02:28.340 into the heart. Because if you can't remember how to set yourself free, you won't know how 02:28.340 --> 02:34.480 to keep yourself free because you won't remember that either. So it's time for review. It's 02:34.480 --> 02:42.340 time to go back and study to show yourself approved to be a workman. So we're not going to do a lot 02:42.340 --> 02:50.040 of review. It's all online. This book is written fairly well, so you can actually just read it 02:50.040 --> 02:53.900 and you should be able to get it. Some I do just kind of like an outline form. This one is 02:53.900 --> 03:01.900 not so much that way. So page 20. What gives demons access to us? And we're talking two 03:01.900 --> 03:09.900 types of access here. Because we're trying to hold on to the land when Jesus sets us free, 03:10.420 --> 03:17.420 we want to stay free. So we're trying to hold on to the land. So now that we know how to work 03:17.420 --> 03:22.400 self-deliverance and get free, we're taking the next step of how do we stay free? How do we hold 03:22.400 --> 03:28.140 that land? Well, how did they get access to us to begin with? Okay, so that's where we're 03:28.140 --> 03:34.940 at at this point. And we're talking two types. Outward access, where they never got inside of us. 03:35.140 --> 03:40.800 They just worked us from the outside versus inward access, which that's where they get inside. So 03:41.600 --> 03:47.040 number one, their first paragraph, outward access or access to us outwardly. This is when they 03:47.040 --> 03:52.040 can influence us, talk to us, agree with our flesh and tempting us, align situations, 03:52.040 --> 03:58.240 circumstances, harass us, etc. But they never gain permanent access to our fleshly temple. 03:59.060 --> 04:05.720 This is the counterpart to the Holy Spirit coming upon or being with someone. And I give three 04:05.720 --> 04:12.580 examples here of demonic outward access, the temptation of Jesus. Satan never got bodily 04:12.580 --> 04:19.920 access to him. But he did still tempt him. The second one, when the devil spoke through 04:19.920 --> 04:30.100 Peter, there's no scriptural evidence that Peter had a demon. But the idea, the thought he had, 04:30.220 --> 04:35.080 was definitely demonically based. That's why Jesus addressed it as such. He said, 04:35.140 --> 04:42.520 Satan get behind me. But there's no evidence that Satan was in Peter. He just said something 04:42.520 --> 04:47.360 to him that made a lot of sense to Peter. So he blurted it, you know. And Jesus said, 04:47.360 --> 04:51.960 yeah, I know where that's coming from. And the third one is in John 8, where the teachers of the 04:51.960 --> 04:58.160 law, the Pharisees and the Jews, they were confronting Jesus. Again, were they demon 04:58.160 --> 05:03.240 filled? They might have been. It doesn't say, there's no physical manifest, there's no evidence 05:03.240 --> 05:09.360 that there was a physical manifestation of a demon there. Yet Jesus states these people are under 05:09.940 --> 05:14.920 the devil's demonic influence. Were they inhabited? I don't know. It doesn't say that. 05:15.420 --> 05:18.700 So the one thing that we haven't gotten to yet that we're going to talk about. 05:20.140 --> 05:22.680 But here is a good point to bring in, a place to bring it up. 05:24.480 --> 05:29.080 Just because someone is feeling something, thinking something comes up with something 05:29.080 --> 05:33.800 doesn't mean they have a demon. It could be influencing them from the outside. 05:36.160 --> 05:43.100 It's the counterpart of how God uses angels with us. Angels can speak to us. Angels can 05:43.100 --> 05:46.460 give us some answers. Angels can talk to us, but they don't inhabit us. 05:47.740 --> 05:53.600 They work from the outside. Well, demons can do that too. The Holy Spirit inhabits us, 05:53.780 --> 05:58.220 but angels don't necessarily do that. But for whatever reason, 06:00.120 --> 06:04.440 and again, I think it's just lack of understanding, when people struggle with 06:04.440 --> 06:09.660 anything, they think they need something cast out. Well, what makes you think it's in you? 06:10.700 --> 06:16.860 When you look at scripture, when something was in a person, somehow there was a manifestation 06:16.860 --> 06:21.540 that's like, oh, I see you. Like a little boy who throws himself into the fire. 06:22.280 --> 06:30.240 Yep, that's not normal. There's different manifestations. I like with the girl who 06:30.240 --> 06:35.900 was using divination with Paul, when he called her out. She wasn't saying anything wrong, 06:36.460 --> 06:41.780 but she just kept... Behold these two wonderful people of God. Pay attention to them. 06:42.620 --> 06:49.040 It was just aggravating. And it took a little bit. It says, after a few days, 06:49.720 --> 06:53.020 it took a little bit for them to recognize, you know what? This isn't God. 06:54.060 --> 06:59.640 This is something else speaking through her. So she had that when you have something inside 06:59.640 --> 07:06.360 of you, I want to see some form of manifestation. It can be subtle. It doesn't have to be, 07:06.740 --> 07:09.820 you know, you're beating your head on the floor and crawling across the floor like a snake. 07:10.000 --> 07:16.920 It doesn't have to be that. It can be subtle. But again, it goes back to what we talked about 07:16.920 --> 07:26.480 earlier. It's not a badge of honor for Christians to have demons. And in our society, it's 07:26.480 --> 07:34.640 almost become one. I've had a demon. That's not the way it's supposed to work. Something was wrong 07:34.640 --> 07:42.980 because you had one or you had 10 or whatever. It's not a badge of honor that Christians have 07:42.980 --> 07:47.100 demons. And it's almost looked like, well, I had to go to this meeting, get demons cast out. 07:47.460 --> 07:51.560 Well, what in the world? Why did you have demons? You're not supposed to have demons 07:51.560 --> 08:01.840 as a Christian. It's not normal. It's not, it's not, it should not be acceptable in our minds. 08:02.660 --> 08:08.140 But it's, for whatever reason, drama or spectacular or whatever, it seems to go there. 08:08.620 --> 08:16.240 So just understand, spirits can speak to us from the outside. They don't have to be inside. 08:17.400 --> 08:23.660 The spirit realm can speak to us and we hear it. Okay, bottom paragraph. Outward access is when demons 08:23.660 --> 08:29.640 can affect us, but they don't have the right to live in us. In some cases, the sin may need to be 08:29.640 --> 08:34.020 dealt with for the demonic influence to be gotten off, but it doesn't necessarily mean they're 08:34.020 --> 08:40.120 inside. They'll have to, other times we'll simply need to take a stand against them, but we're 08:40.120 --> 08:47.300 not inhabited or infested. The word infested comes from the guy who helped mentor me. He always 08:47.300 --> 08:54.300 talked about demons either infesting us or trespassing. They were squatters on land they 08:54.300 --> 08:58.980 weren't supposed to be on. So that was kind of his thought of how he pictured it. So there's 08:58.980 --> 09:06.560 outward access. What gives demons outward access to us? Probably just the idea we're 09:06.560 --> 09:13.880 living on earth. It has nothing to do with sin or Satan couldn't have touched Jesus and tempted 09:13.880 --> 09:20.460 him. And that wasn't the only time he went after Jesus because if you read the end in Matthew 4, 09:21.100 --> 09:25.680 especially the amplified makes it plain that when he was done tempting him, he departed 09:26.290 --> 09:33.240 and waited for an opportune season or time. He watched him. What in the world makes this 09:33.240 --> 09:37.980 guy tick? Is this the Messiah? Is it not the Messiah? Who is this? So he just kind of stood 09:37.980 --> 09:45.820 back and studied him. But you can bet your life he went back after him again. I'm sure he was after 09:45.820 --> 09:51.560 him in the garden. I'm sure he was. When his flesh was saying, I don't want to do this, there 09:51.560 --> 09:56.520 was an outside influence going, you don't have to do this. And I'm sure he was working with 09:56.520 --> 10:01.420 it there, even though scripture doesn't say it. If Satan missed that opportunity, he's really, 10:01.420 --> 10:07.880 really dumb because that was an opportunity. I'm pretty sure he was working there. So there's 10:07.880 --> 10:15.540 outside access that we are living in a demon infested world. And we just have to be aware. 10:15.640 --> 10:21.120 They will speak to us. They will try to give us input. They will try to give us desires. 10:21.840 --> 10:25.860 They will try to tempt us. Doesn't mean they're in us, but they're here. 10:25.860 --> 10:31.980 Okay. Number two, inward access is when they have gained legal right to get inside our bodies 10:31.980 --> 10:38.520 and take up residence. Now this next line is written wrong. So you might want to make a note 10:38.520 --> 10:43.960 here to rewrite that somehow. I said, I don't know what gives them legal right to move to 10:43.960 --> 10:50.880 an outward, move from an outward influence to an inward access, but it happens. And then 10:50.880 --> 10:54.560 I, in the next page, I say, this is what gives them the right to do that. It's like, 10:54.660 --> 11:00.480 yeah, I didn't write that right. What I was trying to say there is I don't know, 11:02.160 --> 11:09.240 for instance, let's say you're being tempted to, let's use something simple, lie. And they're 11:09.240 --> 11:12.640 working on you from the outside and they're tempting you to lie and tempting you to lie. 11:12.980 --> 11:18.380 Finally, you lie and then you lie again and then you lie some more. Well, at some point, 11:18.380 --> 11:25.420 it crosses over from outside to now they have legal right to inside and they move in. 11:26.060 --> 11:32.140 When is that crossover point? I'm not sure. I don't know. That's what I was trying to say. 11:32.480 --> 11:37.760 And I didn't take enough time to say it. But that's what I, what is the crossover point that 11:37.760 --> 11:42.560 gives them access that changes the access from the outside to give them access to the inside? 11:42.560 --> 11:49.680 I don't know, but it, it happens. One of the ways I'm aware of this being scripturally possible is 11:49.680 --> 11:56.840 via incorrectly handling anger. Ephesians 4, 27. Another way is when we submit ourselves to the 11:56.840 --> 12:02.040 kingdom of darkness in any area of our lives. Romans 6 talks about that. Ephesians 2 talks 12:02.040 --> 12:07.900 about people who were under that influence. So, however, once they have bodily access to us, 12:07.900 --> 12:12.760 now they have much more effect in, excuse me, effect and control. And there's some examples I have 12:12.760 --> 12:18.040 there of demon speaking through us, the man with legion, the boy with the deaf and dumb spirit, 12:19.700 --> 12:23.800 ministry of Philip when he was dealing with people who had demonic problems inside. 12:24.100 --> 12:28.000 There's just a number of examples if you want to read them. Once a demon has the right to 12:28.000 --> 12:31.840 take a resident in us, residents in us, they will literally have to be cast out. 12:32.360 --> 12:37.100 Now you need deliverance. They need to come out of you because they're in you. 12:37.900 --> 12:44.380 If they haven't gained inward access, they don't need to be cast out because they're not in. 12:45.260 --> 12:49.820 If they are still outside our body, our temple, then we need to take a stand against them like 12:49.820 --> 12:56.900 Paul instructed and Jesus did in Matthew 4 and his temptation. If they have gained 12:56.900 --> 13:02.820 inward access, the big question is what happened that has given them access to us? 13:02.820 --> 13:09.220 Okay, that has to be somehow the Holy Spirit needs to show us some things there. 13:10.060 --> 13:14.640 Because if he doesn't, we're going to end up getting them out and we'll be empty, 13:14.700 --> 13:18.820 swept and garnished, like it talks about the end of the book. I don't know if we'll 13:18.820 --> 13:24.680 get that far tonight, but we'll be empty, swept and garnished and they will come 13:24.680 --> 13:31.460 right back in and it'll be worse. So there's always a big key if the house has a window 13:31.460 --> 13:38.540 open and it's 20 below and you keep turning the thermostat up saying it's not warm in here. 13:39.520 --> 13:45.720 At some point you need to step back and ask why. Is the furnace working? Yes. Is heat 13:45.720 --> 13:50.760 coming out of the registers? Yes. Why is it cold in here? Close the window. 13:52.940 --> 13:57.460 Simple in the physical, but somehow transitioning that thought over to spiritual 13:57.460 --> 14:02.200 things, people struggle with that. You got demonic problems, you're living for God, 14:02.340 --> 14:06.780 you're in the Word every day, you're trying to live for God, but you just know you have problems. 14:08.200 --> 14:13.080 At some point you need to back up and say why. And the Holy Spirit will show us why. 14:14.180 --> 14:18.600 There's some reason they gained access. We can be prayed over and go through 14:18.600 --> 14:22.260 delivered sessions, but if we don't deal with the things that gave them access, 14:22.660 --> 14:25.760 they're just going to keep coming back and it's going to be a rotating door and it's 14:25.760 --> 14:29.300 like those people go down because every time they come back, it gets worse. 14:30.260 --> 14:36.620 Here is the access issues. Did you get involved in some kind of personal sin 14:36.620 --> 14:40.500 that you gave yourself over to? I'm not talking about a mistake. I'm not. 14:40.780 --> 14:45.000 You've got the Calvinists and you've got the Armenians. The Calvinists say it doesn't 14:45.000 --> 14:48.420 make any difference. What you do, you can never lose your salvation. You live for God 14:48.420 --> 14:52.280 the rest of your life. I mean, you'll go to heaven no matter how you live the rest 14:52.280 --> 14:58.320 of your life. So once saved, always saved, eternal security, that whole thing 14:58.320 --> 15:02.760 comes out of the Calvinist camp. The Armenian camp, which as far as I'm 15:02.760 --> 15:06.040 concerned is in that's in one ditch, and this is over in the other ditch. 15:06.920 --> 15:12.280 If you do anything wrong, you better deal with it immediately, quickly, 15:12.280 --> 15:15.700 because if Jesus comes before you do, you're lost. And it's like, 15:16.440 --> 15:18.880 boy, you talk about how people live under fear. 15:20.220 --> 15:24.920 It's like, grace doesn't cover nothing here, you know? What about Hebrews 9, where it 15:24.920 --> 15:28.360 talks about all our sins are covered if they're sins of ignorance? 15:29.480 --> 15:33.420 It's the willful stuff we have to watch out for, which is a combination of 15:33.420 --> 15:36.140 Armenianism. Bring that up in the middle of the road, which says, 15:36.400 --> 15:40.800 you can't just live the way you want to, and it's all good with God. 15:41.500 --> 15:44.800 There's some things you got to deal with. And you bring the Calvinists 15:44.800 --> 15:50.960 thought up in the road, which says, if you don't deal with this correctly, 15:51.260 --> 15:58.020 yeah, there is a hell, but let's get out of fear. Let's not be freaked out every day. 15:58.180 --> 16:01.680 Like, oh God, what if I die? Would I make heaven? Would I make heaven? 16:01.880 --> 16:05.140 See, that's what the Calvinists were trying to combat. All the fear that 16:05.140 --> 16:08.360 people had of, oh, I don't know if I'm saved. So they came up with 16:08.360 --> 16:11.640 eternal security, one saved, all we saved, which as far as I'm concerned is 16:11.640 --> 16:15.920 false teaching. But they were trying to combat the other side, which said, 16:16.880 --> 16:20.100 you made a mistake? Have you repented? You could be going to hell. 16:20.660 --> 16:25.320 Well, that's just as goofy. It's just, I think God's grace is bigger than that. 16:26.180 --> 16:28.700 So we bring the two together and we try to get on the road. 16:33.320 --> 16:39.720 If we have been involved in some personal sin that we are not dealing with, 16:42.610 --> 16:48.410 it becomes willful. We keep going back. It will give them access. And we'll see that in the pictures 16:48.410 --> 16:54.170 here that we read in the scriptures coming. That's one. And I've had people say, 16:56.250 --> 17:02.390 I, okay, I'll quote one person. They said, I love your church until you said some, 17:02.530 --> 17:08.190 I said something like that. If you are in willful sin and you're not doing anything about it, 17:08.190 --> 17:14.170 to overcome it, to beat it, you are playing with your salvation. You could lose it. 17:14.890 --> 17:19.910 They said, I love your church until you said that it scared me so bad that I'm not coming back. 17:23.100 --> 17:30.560 I said, you know, so sometimes I hear no evil, see no evil. I want to stay dumb to everything. 17:32.080 --> 17:35.960 So I asked them, I said, well, what's the big willful sin you're in? 17:37.120 --> 17:41.080 Why are you so afraid that willful sin will take you to hell? What are you doing? 17:42.080 --> 17:45.660 Well, they didn't own anything. You know, of course, they probably wouldn't. 17:46.180 --> 17:50.800 But that's the key there. You got nothing to be afraid of if you're trying to live for God, 17:50.960 --> 17:56.680 honestly. If you're playing a game, well, yeah, you should be afraid. It's not a game. 17:57.480 --> 18:03.220 Another way of access is if a curse has been put on us, but there too to gain 18:03.220 --> 18:10.520 inward access, the question remains, what gave that curse the power to do it? Because the Old 18:10.520 --> 18:14.460 Testament picture, the New Testament picture, is a curse cannot come and rest on someone 18:14.460 --> 18:21.320 undeservedly. There's got to be an opening. And number three, if it's a generational or 18:21.320 --> 18:27.260 sense of the father's issue, that can give access to inward stuff. 18:31.040 --> 18:35.640 That gets dealt with differently. We will go through that line by line, blow by blow in the 18:35.640 --> 18:42.940 future. I'm just trying to lay out here what can get them inside us. The core of our freedom 18:42.940 --> 18:49.560 is in closing the door into our life, the access problem. Okay, so let's go to page 22. 18:50.340 --> 18:53.560 And we're going to talk about two pictures here from the Old Testament. 18:54.220 --> 18:59.660 One is the corporate anointing picture. And then the next one is going to be the individual 18:59.660 --> 19:07.860 anointing picture of freedom and staying free and so forth. This is the corporate picture, 19:08.060 --> 19:12.980 the corporate anointing. In other words, the whole body, the whole church, the whole everything. 19:13.200 --> 19:21.000 Here's the picture of that in the Old Testament. So, Joshua 1. Here's the promise. 19:22.000 --> 19:27.640 Moses, my servant is dead, now therefore arise. Go over this Jordan, you and all this people, 19:27.820 --> 19:31.880 to the land which I am giving them, the children of Israel. Every place the soul of your foot will 19:31.880 --> 19:39.260 tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses. So, there is Joshua's Ramah word. 19:39.840 --> 19:43.560 There is a reiteration of the Ramah word to the children of Israel. 19:44.300 --> 19:48.660 I will give you the promised land. You got to go take it. 19:49.300 --> 19:55.860 Verse 5. No man, now in the New Testament picture here, the application would be a 19:55.860 --> 20:01.480 demonic being or a fallen angel. But in the Old Testament it was man. They were dealing with 20:01.480 --> 20:10.040 human enemies to get into the promised land. Put in your mind demons. No man or no demon shall 20:10.040 --> 20:14.900 be able to stand before you all the days of your life. Verse 6. Be strong and be of good 20:14.900 --> 20:21.600 courage. Verse 7. Be strong and be very courageous. Verse 9. Be strong and of good courage. Do not be 20:21.600 --> 20:27.300 afraid. Do not be dismayed. For the Lord God is with you wherever you go. The point to make 20:27.300 --> 20:37.640 there is there is nothing in us or in our life we can't overcome. Nothing. Be strong, be courageous. 20:37.920 --> 20:42.920 Don't be fearful. Well, maybe what's happened in my family line is too big for God. There's 20:42.920 --> 20:50.640 nothing too big for God. We can overcome any spiritual, obstacle period. Okay, that's the picture. 20:51.020 --> 20:56.360 Page 23. The fear of the Lord falls on the Israel's enemies and there's scripture there. 20:57.080 --> 21:01.940 I'll just read pieces of it. Now Joshua, the son of Nun, sent out two men from Achaia, 21:01.940 --> 21:07.980 from Achaia Grove to spy secretly go view the land. So they went and they met Rahab and 21:07.980 --> 21:14.740 that whole story laid out. Now before they lay down, they came up, she came up to the roof. So 21:14.740 --> 21:19.780 they're in Rahab's house now and they're sleeping on the roof. She came up to the roof and she said 21:19.780 --> 21:25.140 to them, I know that the Lord has given you the land, that the terror of you has fallen on 21:25.140 --> 21:32.000 us and that all the inhabitants of the land are faint-hearted because of you. For we have 21:32.000 --> 21:42.540 heard how the Lord did great things to set them free. The enemy, when they know we know what we're 21:42.540 --> 21:47.440 doing and we're going to come after them, they freak out because they know they're in trouble. 21:49.160 --> 21:54.160 It happened there. It will happen with demons. We talked about it a little bit, how that if 21:54.160 --> 21:57.660 you're trying to get someone to deliver in session or try to get them to church or whatever, 21:59.300 --> 22:06.000 many times, if there's demonic problems, they have this huge fear thing inside of them and 22:06.000 --> 22:13.560 they just want to run, get away. There was, I'll just say a young person during open heaven meetings, 22:13.720 --> 22:18.900 I was standing over there. It was, I think Brad was ministering a prayer line and they came up 22:18.900 --> 22:24.540 to me and they said, I don't know what's wrong with me, but I am doing everything I can 22:24.540 --> 22:32.160 to stay in this building. Everything inside of me is screaming, get out, run. These people are freaky. 22:36.040 --> 22:42.900 I said, do you know anything about demons? They said, just a little. I said, well, you got some. 22:44.400 --> 22:49.620 Do you want help? And they said, yes. So we helped them. 22:51.680 --> 22:55.420 And if you were here, this might, I'm not going to say any names or anything, but if you were here, 22:55.480 --> 23:01.380 this is a giveaway. There was one person, it's like peeling the onion. There was one person we 23:01.380 --> 23:07.100 prayed over twice and they started screaming at the top of their lungs. Remember that? 23:08.280 --> 23:11.600 There was music going on and everything and I think everybody in the place heard it. They 23:11.600 --> 23:21.000 were just screaming. That was that person who said to me, I am so afraid. I am trying to do 23:21.000 --> 23:28.180 everything I can to keep from running. That is a telltale sign. They got demons and the demons 23:28.180 --> 23:34.000 know if I hang around here too long, I'm history. I have to get this person out of here. 23:35.340 --> 23:46.440 That is, that is this picture. The Jericho people were faint hearted. They knew we're in deep trouble. 23:47.760 --> 23:53.820 They had no place to run to, but they knew. So now I'm going to give you something that 23:53.820 --> 24:02.240 may sound really weird, but people who are struggling with demonic issues, saved or unsaved, 24:04.140 --> 24:12.200 there should be a regular occurrence, not the same person, but different people where we find out 24:12.200 --> 24:18.780 when they came to church, a fear came up in them so strongly they had to do everything they 24:18.780 --> 24:23.200 could to stay and some even leave. And then they'll come back and then they freak out again and 24:23.200 --> 24:29.600 they leave. If that is not happening, the presence of God is not as strong as it should be. 24:33.840 --> 24:40.700 Because demons should not be comfortable to sit in a service. That's just the bottom line to it. 24:41.900 --> 24:47.100 And if we don't have services where someone says to you, I don't know what's going on in there, 24:47.160 --> 24:52.840 man, but I just had to get out. It's just like I couldn't hardly breathe. Well, you got a critter 24:52.840 --> 24:58.680 or two. That's what's going on in there. And they felt the presence of the Holy Spirit and 24:58.680 --> 25:05.880 they're going, we better get out of here. That's the picture right here. Verse 24, 25:06.880 --> 25:11.960 Truly the Lord has delivered all the land into our hands, for indeed the inhabitants of the country 25:11.960 --> 25:19.180 are feinthearted because of us. Notice this, please notice this, this is a key. Fear reveals 25:19.180 --> 25:24.040 not only what needs to be defeated, but what will be defeated by faith. 25:27.040 --> 25:33.360 Any area we as believers have fear, there's something there that needs to be defeated. 25:36.220 --> 25:39.300 And it will be defeated if we go after it by faith. 25:41.140 --> 25:46.240 So the whole thing and you say, well, if I have that kind of fear, do I have demons? So chapter five, verse one. So when all the kings of the Amorites 26:06.960 --> 26:10.620 who were west of the Jordan heard about this, they all freaked out. 26:12.260 --> 26:17.980 Page 24, verse one of chapter six. So they securely shut up Jericho because of 26:17.980 --> 26:22.360 the children of Israel. Nobody was going out. Nobody was coming in. The place was in lockdown. 26:24.040 --> 26:30.940 The Lord said to Joshua, see? See what? They're afraid of you. They're in lockdown. 26:32.160 --> 26:36.660 I have given Jericho into your hand. It's king and it's mighty men of valor. 26:37.600 --> 26:45.080 Look at the fear in them and you know who wins this. Isn't that wild? 26:46.880 --> 26:53.180 Fear should be an indicator of victories coming. We tend to look at it as an 26:53.180 --> 26:56.940 indicator of defeat could be coming. God doesn't look at it that way. 26:58.360 --> 27:02.520 The demonic realm knows they are defeated. That's why they stir up. That's why they 27:02.520 --> 27:06.300 try to fortify their sin ground when they get into the presence of God or in the 27:06.300 --> 27:11.280 presence of a believer who knows their authority. They will freak out when God's 27:11.280 --> 27:14.140 spirit moves, everything moves. And the demonic realm included. 27:15.180 --> 27:19.680 Letter E, instructions and obedience required to continue to defeat their enemies. 27:19.680 --> 27:24.080 Okay, so now we've got, they're coming to Jericho. The enemies know they're defeated 27:24.080 --> 27:26.540 because this God's going to take them out. They're in fear. 27:28.260 --> 27:32.920 That doesn't mean that God wants his people to just run in there willy-nilly and do whatever. 27:33.960 --> 27:38.940 He gives them instructions. This is how you do it. And you got to obey me. 27:40.480 --> 27:44.980 That's how you beat the enemy. There was three women put into his ancestry that 28:48.080 --> 28:53.400 absolutely from human standards or the church standards should not have been there. She's one of 28:53.400 --> 28:59.120 them. Interesting. She and all who are with her in her house because she hid the messengers 28:59.120 --> 29:03.540 that we sent. I bet her house was, that little house on the wall was crowded that night. 29:04.660 --> 29:10.280 Everybody in her house was going to be saved. And you by all means, now he's talking to the 29:10.280 --> 29:14.960 Israelites. Here's some instruction. Here's some things you got to do. By all means, 29:15.100 --> 29:19.060 it's abstain from the accursed things lest you become accursed when you take the 29:19.060 --> 29:24.240 accursed things and make the camp of Israel a curse. Camp, not just a person comes under 29:24.240 --> 29:31.100 a curse. The whole camp of Israel comes under a curse. This is talking corporate anointing. 29:31.100 --> 29:36.820 This is like bringing curse on the whole church. All the silver and gold, the vessels of 29:36.820 --> 29:41.040 bronze and iron are consecrated to the Lord. They shall come into the treasury of the Lord. 29:42.280 --> 29:47.980 The picture we can't take or keep anything in our life that identifies with or is directly 29:47.980 --> 29:52.260 connected to the enemy to the demonic. This all has to be just given over to God. 29:52.360 --> 29:55.100 He said it's consecrated to the Lord. You just have to give it over to God. 29:55.500 --> 29:59.260 This can be our favorite sins or ungodly habits or poor attitudes, whatever. 29:59.260 --> 30:02.360 We can't hold on to anything that belongs to the enemy. 30:03.600 --> 30:07.400 Chapter 7 verse 1, the children of Israel committed a trespass 30:08.280 --> 30:12.780 because they didn't do what he said. They took the accursed things so the anger of the Lord 30:12.780 --> 30:20.540 burned against the entire nation. Here's the picture of what happens when we hang on to 30:20.540 --> 30:25.240 something sinful in our lives. God told them to get rid of everything that was associated 30:25.240 --> 30:32.920 with their enemies. So it's like he's giving the church marching instructions. 30:34.740 --> 30:43.180 And most of the church goes for it, but there's a few who rebel against what God wants them to do. 30:47.090 --> 30:56.670 Those few can mess it up for the rest. That's why I've said it in the Covenant 30:56.670 --> 31:02.530 Partner series, I think a number of times. Please find another church. 31:26.250 --> 31:33.950 You're not going to help us. There's the picture why. Page 25. Some in the group refused, 31:35.370 --> 31:39.610 refused to do what God asked them to do, so the people lost their power. The supernatural left. 31:41.750 --> 31:44.750 For those of you who've been around churches any amount of time in your life, 31:45.110 --> 31:48.430 that answers a thousand questions. How you can have a church that's 100 years old, 31:48.430 --> 31:51.170 but it's as dead as a coffin you'd bury it in. 31:53.250 --> 31:57.630 There's no power in it. There's no supernatural happening. People aren't getting saved. People 31:57.630 --> 32:01.110 aren't getting healed. People aren't getting set free. There's no miracles. There's no 32:01.110 --> 32:08.510 deliverances. It's just dead. Well, how can it be dead? It's got good people in it. 32:09.330 --> 32:12.650 They lost their power because they're no longer in unity. 32:15.390 --> 32:21.930 They've had too many church fights, too many splits that have never been repented of and dealt with. 32:23.230 --> 32:30.450 And the Holy Spirit just backs off of that, just like God did here. Remember, we're dealing 32:30.450 --> 32:37.190 with a corporate anointing here. This has to do with the entire group. So they took down Jericho 32:37.190 --> 32:42.470 and I just explained kind of what God's showing us here. So chapter seven, verse two, 32:42.610 --> 32:46.430 they took down Jericho and now they wanted to go to the next city, which was called AI. 32:47.770 --> 32:52.450 Now Joshua sent men from Jericho to AI because they already took down Jericho. It was theirs. 32:53.330 --> 32:57.510 Go and spy out that country. We're going there next. So about 3000 men went up from 32:57.510 --> 33:04.730 there, but they fled before the men of AI. The men of AI struck down about 36 Israelites, 33:05.330 --> 33:10.690 for they chased them from before the gate as far as some city. I don't know how far that was, 33:10.750 --> 33:15.250 but struck them down on the descent. Therefore the hearts of the people melted and became like 33:15.250 --> 33:20.770 water. So you had this huge victory in Jericho, which was just absolutely mind boggling. 33:21.530 --> 33:26.370 You're just going up to check on the next city. You're not even after it. You're just going 33:26.370 --> 33:33.270 to check and they chase you home and kill a bunch of you as you go. Why did that happen? 33:38.130 --> 33:43.730 Because they hadn't been obedient in what God asked them to do in the first city, Jericho. 33:44.430 --> 33:50.170 Now they're going to find out why. So the application is that's what happens when we 33:50.170 --> 33:55.690 try to go after demons and they're a sin in our lives. The anointing, the ability, 33:55.850 --> 34:00.170 the power, the Holy Spirit doesn't work well. So repentance is going to be needed here to 34:00.170 --> 34:05.670 fix this. Page 26. So Joshua, this was a cultural thing. Joshua tore his clothes, 34:05.670 --> 34:10.670 fell to the earth on his face before the Ark of the Lord until evening. So he just fell down, 34:10.750 --> 34:14.570 he just laid there and stayed there. He and all the elders of Israel and they put dust, 34:15.010 --> 34:18.090 sometimes they'd use ashes. They put ashes on their head or on their clothes or whatever. 34:18.310 --> 34:23.710 It's a sign of mourning. So they're showing God, we're in mourning, we're coming to you for help. 34:24.430 --> 34:30.110 And then they make the question that is a typical Christian question even today. 34:32.110 --> 34:39.910 They got defeated. Oh God, why did you even ask me to do this? This is so hard. It didn't turn out 34:39.910 --> 34:49.950 the way it was supposed to. Did I even hear your voice? Oh God. Typical Christians, typical Israelites. 34:52.230 --> 34:58.870 Have you brought us out here to kill us all? Get over that question. God doesn't like that 34:58.870 --> 35:03.730 question. Why? Verse 9, for the Canaanites and all the inhabitants of the land will hear it and 35:03.730 --> 35:07.610 surround us and cut off our name from the earth. They just heard we were handed a defeat. 35:08.670 --> 35:14.270 What will you do for your great name? So the Lord said to Joshua, get up, get up. 35:17.820 --> 35:21.280 You say, why do you say it in that voice? Because I've heard that one. I heard it once 35:21.280 --> 35:28.160 in my life. One time. I don't know, you probably don't, some of you are looking at me 35:28.160 --> 35:32.740 like you never heard that story. We were in Colorado. We were just starting the church and 35:34.840 --> 35:39.840 we heard, we hit a difficult spot because when you're starting the church, and the 35:39.840 --> 35:44.040 same thing about this, when you start a church, you get all the people who are disgruntled with 35:44.040 --> 35:52.580 their current church. So you're not getting the cream of the crop here. You're, you know, 35:52.600 --> 35:56.680 once you've been in it a while and so forth, well then that can change. But when you're 35:56.680 --> 36:02.760 starting, you get all the people who are disgruntled and they bring that with them. 36:04.020 --> 36:07.960 And that the only way you deal with that is you have to rule like an iron hand and say, 36:07.980 --> 36:11.240 this is how we operate here. And you can either like or dislike it. If you like it, 36:11.240 --> 36:14.160 get in. If you dislike it, get out. But this is what we're doing because they will bring 36:14.160 --> 36:20.600 all their grunt, disgruntleness with them. So we had started the church of Colorado. I 36:20.600 --> 36:25.080 hadn't learned this yet. And we had some disgruntled people and they were threatening to destroy 36:25.080 --> 36:29.400 the church, this, that and the other. So I got off into a side office before a Sunday night service 36:30.160 --> 36:35.940 and I just lay prostrate on the floor asking for God's help, just like Joshua did, 36:36.940 --> 36:42.360 asking for God's help. And I probably was down there 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 36:43.700 --> 36:47.940 and I was quiet. And all of a sudden I heard him say, get up. 36:50.540 --> 36:54.560 I'm going, what did I do wrong? I'm trying, I'm trying to do something right here. 36:55.560 --> 37:01.040 And he said at once, I didn't have to hear it again to get up. So I got up and I'm standing there and 37:01.040 --> 37:04.040 it was in the dark, it was in an office, I had the lights off, I'm standing there in the dark 37:04.700 --> 37:11.700 going, oh, I don't know what I did, but he's angry with me. He said, I don't have any beggars in my family. 37:14.060 --> 37:18.200 See, apparently my posture was I was begging him to do something about this. 37:18.980 --> 37:24.480 And that did not make him happy. He said, I don't have any beggars in my family. 37:24.480 --> 37:33.040 So stop it. I'm going. Okay, evidently what I did was not faith. It was something different. 37:33.380 --> 37:38.320 Well, that's kind of what he told Joshua here, get up. We're not, we're not doing this. Okay. 37:38.820 --> 37:42.660 So what's the problem? Well, you got people who disobeyed me. Verse 12, 37:43.520 --> 37:46.760 the children of Israel could not stand before their enemies, but turned they, 37:46.920 --> 37:50.860 but turned their backs before the enemies because they have become doomed to destruction. 37:52.420 --> 37:57.100 Disobedience, I don't care if you're a believer or not, disobedience will doom you to destruction. 37:57.760 --> 38:01.980 Neither will I be with you anymore unless you destroy the accursed thing from among you. 38:02.220 --> 38:09.860 I told you not to take anything, verse 11, and somebody did. Here you have a small group of 38:09.860 --> 38:16.400 people affecting the whole nation. Small group of people can affect the whole church. 38:17.340 --> 38:22.980 Well, how do we fix it? Deal with the problem. So letter G, you've got to deal with the sin problem. 38:24.120 --> 38:28.520 So they went through their process of finding out who sinned, and they had their way of doing 38:28.520 --> 38:35.480 that. We don't do that anymore. But it was Achan. And verse 21, when I saw among the spoils a 38:35.480 --> 38:40.880 beautiful Babylonian garment, this is Achan speaking, beautiful Babylonian garment, 200 38:40.880 --> 38:47.020 shekels of silver and a wedge of gold weighing 50 shekels, I coveted them and took them. 38:47.620 --> 38:50.680 Remember? We weren't supposed to keep that. That was supposed to go to God. 38:51.920 --> 38:55.780 And there they are, hidden in the earth in the midst. So he buried them. He knew he 38:55.780 --> 38:59.200 shouldn't have them. So he dug a hole, buried them in the middle of his tent, 39:00.220 --> 39:02.360 the garments on top and the silvers underneath it. 39:04.120 --> 39:08.100 He wanted some things the kingdom of darkness had to offer. And God told 39:08.100 --> 39:13.560 everyone to get rid of everything that they took from Jericho. It all belongs to God. 39:15.980 --> 39:24.160 That picture is when God asks you to do something in your life, in your spiritual battle, in 39:24.160 --> 39:30.280 whatever, you can't come up with your own ideas and do it your own way. 39:31.740 --> 39:41.100 If he asks you to go to the in-laws and apologize, you're going to go to the in-laws 39:41.100 --> 39:47.480 and apologize, or you're going to open the door to your life. Okay? That's an individual thing. 39:48.100 --> 39:59.960 If he asks us as a church to do something and we don't, well, we're doomed to destruction. 40:01.660 --> 40:05.560 That's where you get that church that's 100 years old and that is a door now. 40:07.840 --> 40:13.060 So obedience is paramount. Of course, we talked about that already, but here it shows up in the 40:13.060 --> 40:20.620 picture. So then Joshua and all Israel with him, they took everything and they burned it all. 40:21.140 --> 40:28.560 The people, the daughters, the sons, everything, they stoned them and burned everything, 40:28.560 --> 40:37.060 which is kind of like, wow, that's dramatic. But they did it, covered them over with a heap of stones 40:37.060 --> 40:42.500 and that pile of stones is still there. That was their way of saying, okay, we're not doing this, 40:42.560 --> 40:46.980 we're coming back to you, God. And it's a picture of, you say, why would they kill them? It's 40:46.980 --> 40:52.540 a picture of putting the flesh to death or killing the old nature. Do you remember? Their 40:52.540 --> 41:00.460 physical picture is our spiritual picture. And God asks us to die to the flesh, to kill it, 41:00.800 --> 41:07.260 to put it to death. That's the physical picture they did that they put it to death. He asks us to 41:07.260 --> 41:13.040 do the same thing in the spiritual way in our body. So once the sin has been dealt with, 41:13.300 --> 41:17.080 we just keep reading on in Joshua chapter eight and we're not going to read this, 41:17.080 --> 41:23.780 but man, they got on a roll and they just started taking down anything and everything they touched. 41:25.920 --> 41:32.160 Chapter verse page 28, number one, the awesome aspect of God's character, 41:32.200 --> 41:39.920 when we repent and obey, everything is restored to us. So chapter 10, the victories just go on. 41:40.780 --> 41:46.840 The king of, now Adonai Zedek, king of Jerusalem, because Jerusalem was not yet conquered, 41:47.540 --> 41:52.100 heard about what happened at at eye after they repented. They went back to eye and just 41:52.100 --> 42:00.080 obliterated it. And he heard how Gibeon had made a peace treaty and problems were there. 42:01.020 --> 42:05.500 So he said, verse five, I can't beat these people by myself. I need five kings. 42:06.060 --> 42:11.780 So he got five kings and joined forces with them. And in verse six, 42:13.840 --> 42:20.260 the Gibeonites who had made a covenant or a peace treaty with the Israelites were under attack 42:20.260 --> 42:25.000 and they asked the Israelites, quickly come help us. The Amorite kings from the hill country 42:25.000 --> 42:29.780 are here to wipe us out. So they went up there and the Lord told them, do not be afraid of 42:29.780 --> 42:33.300 them. I've given them into their, your hand, not one of them will be able to withstand you. 42:33.990 --> 42:41.040 Now exceptional supernatural things start happening, page 29. They killed, they routed 42:41.710 --> 42:47.120 all of them, killed them with a great slaughter. It, verse 11, and it happened as they fled 42:47.120 --> 42:52.040 before Israel that the Lord cast down large hailstones from heaven on them. 42:52.860 --> 42:57.600 So the army that's running from the Israelites is getting hailed on and they died. 42:58.340 --> 43:03.700 There were more who died from the hailstones than the children of Israel killed with the sword. 43:05.120 --> 43:11.520 See now, supernatural stuff's happening and God is dealing with stuff that we haven't even touched 43:11.520 --> 43:19.020 and he does that all the time in deliverance. We think we've got something and we've got one 43:19.020 --> 43:22.860 that we're addressing and there's 15 in the background that God says, by the way you 43:22.860 --> 43:30.820 guys are all going to. And he just fights for us. Verse 12, then Joshua spoke to the Lord and the 43:30.820 --> 43:36.200 day the Lord delivered him up and here another absolutely unbelievable supernatural thing took 43:36.200 --> 43:41.100 place. He, they didn't have enough time to kill the enemy because the sun was going to go down. 43:41.140 --> 43:49.320 So Joshua spoke to the sun and said, stand still. Don't set yet. We need time. And the sun 43:49.320 --> 43:58.620 stood still and the moon stopped until they got this done. Now do you have any inkling what God 43:58.620 --> 44:08.560 had to do to stop the sun from setting? He literally stopped the rotation of the earth 44:09.980 --> 44:16.400 and held it in place and they claim, someone handed me a study. I never followed it deep 44:16.400 --> 44:22.920 enough to know, but they claim now with the advent of the computer they can find a day in the past 44:22.920 --> 44:29.560 around Joshua's time when he lived where it's almost 24 hours something happened 44:29.560 --> 44:36.300 that the earth didn't rotate. It stopped for, it wasn't quite 24, but almost 24 hours it came 44:36.300 --> 44:45.320 to a complete stop. And they can't explain it. Well, there it is. God does supernatural stuff 44:46.220 --> 44:52.500 to defeat our enemies. And the victories just keep piling up. Chapter 10 verse 16, 44:53.700 --> 44:57.640 five, the five kings that had come against them ran and hid in the cave. So they just 44:57.640 --> 45:03.240 rolled a big rock in front of the cave and went after the armies. Verse 20, 45:03.240 --> 45:07.140 then it happened while Joshua and the children of Israel made an end of slaying all the armies 45:07.140 --> 45:12.800 with a very great slaughter till they had all finished, that those who escaped the fortified 45:12.800 --> 45:16.980 city. So they got all the people, then they went back verse 22, opened the mouth of the cave 45:16.980 --> 45:21.280 and brought the kings out. And they struck down the kings and hang them on five trees. 45:22.160 --> 45:28.400 Page 30, on that day Joshua took a certain king there and struck it and its king or 45:28.400 --> 45:31.860 certain city and struck it and its king with the edge of the sword. He utterly destroyed 45:31.860 --> 45:36.900 them. All the people who were in it, he let none remain. So you go on into the next story. 45:37.040 --> 45:42.600 They're just, they're just flying here, just conquering the promised land like you cannot 45:42.600 --> 45:48.720 believe. Everything that stood in their way fell and supernatural stuff happening. 45:51.140 --> 45:55.640 Bottom of page 30, all these kings in their land, Joshua took at one time 45:55.640 --> 46:04.220 because the Lord God of Israel fought for Israel. Page 31, and it came to pass when 46:04.220 --> 46:11.060 Jabin King of Hazar heard these things that he sent to Joab and he gathered again a whole 46:11.060 --> 46:18.480 bunch of kings and people. Verse four, that group went out and they were, and they and all 46:18.480 --> 46:24.120 their armies with them as many people as the sand that is on the seashore and multitude. 46:24.120 --> 46:31.200 What that basically means is they couldn't count them. There were so many in these armies coming at 46:31.200 --> 46:37.720 them, we can't count them. So that's how they expressed that with very many horses and chariots. 46:38.140 --> 46:42.620 When all these kings had met together, they came and camp together at the waters of Mirim 46:42.620 --> 46:47.820 to fight against Israel. The Lord said to Joshua, do not be afraid because of them. 46:48.020 --> 46:52.420 For tomorrow, about this time, I will deliver all of them slaying before Israel. 46:52.420 --> 46:58.080 And he promises what they'll do and so forth. Verse 8, the Lord delivered them into the hand 46:58.080 --> 47:05.220 of Israel, who defeated them and chased them. They attacked them until they left, none of them 47:05.220 --> 47:14.260 remaining. You talk about huge, huge, huge victories. A large key to remaining victorious 47:14.260 --> 47:19.840 is in that next verse, Joshua 1115. As the Lord had commanded Moses his servant, 47:19.840 --> 47:27.960 so Moses commanded Joshua, and so Joshua did. He left nothing undone of all that the 47:27.960 --> 47:36.540 Lord had commanded Moses. He was obedient. That is the key. That's the key to their victories. 47:37.120 --> 47:44.640 It's the key to our being free of spiritual forces and demonic stuff. We have to be obedient 47:44.640 --> 47:51.460 when he asks us or says for us to do something. It's a huge key. With it, anything is possible. 47:52.240 --> 47:57.020 Without it, our enemies will conquer us. Number three, the danger is when everything 47:57.020 --> 48:02.200 is going well, we get complacent. We let something slip, we're not really obedient, 48:02.520 --> 48:11.040 and then slowly we slide back into problems. Okay, we got a little bit of time. Let's hit 48:11.040 --> 48:14.020 the individual anointing here yet, and then we'll open up for questions and answers. 48:16.460 --> 48:20.880 The individual anointing. So that was the corporate anointing. He was asking the nation 48:20.880 --> 48:27.440 of Israel to do those things, and the nation did those things. Now, after the death of Joshua, 48:27.680 --> 48:31.480 something changed here. The Israelites asked the Lord, who will be the first to go up 48:31.480 --> 48:36.700 and fight for us against the Canaanites? Now we're entering into a new dimension 48:36.700 --> 48:40.640 of securing freedom. They basically have the land, but there's some pockets of enemies. 48:41.860 --> 48:46.280 Number one, up until this time, all the tribes work together as a nation. Now they're going to start 48:46.280 --> 48:53.620 working as individual tribes. This is a picture of a believer learning how to do deliverance, 48:53.800 --> 49:00.120 and moving on to doing deliverance themselves. When we come to the church, 49:00.260 --> 49:03.500 and we have a group of people, and we've got corporate anointing, and everybody's 49:03.500 --> 49:11.860 in agreement, that's that kind of movement. When we go home, and someone's at our house, 49:11.940 --> 49:17.520 or we're experiencing something ourselves, we don't have the whole church. That's an individual. 49:18.520 --> 49:24.380 That's that kind of deliverance. That's what we're talking about here. Individual anointing. 49:24.460 --> 49:28.740 Here's the picture. So the Lord said, Judah's supposed to go up. Well, Judah wasn't sure 49:28.740 --> 49:31.960 they could do it by themselves, so they asked the tribe of Simeon to go with them, 49:31.960 --> 49:36.460 and they went with them. So verse 17, then the men of Judah went with the Simeonites, 49:36.560 --> 49:40.240 their brothers, and attacked the Canaanites, and they totally destroyed the city. Verse 19, page 33, the Lord was with the men of Judah, 49:45.960 --> 49:52.780 they took possession of the hill country, but were unable to drive out the people from the 49:52.780 --> 50:02.960 plains because they had iron chariots. You think that's the first time they faced iron chariots? 50:03.580 --> 50:09.820 Probably not. But that was their excuse. Well, we got the ones in the hill country, 50:10.640 --> 50:14.260 but this bunch on the plains, they come at us with these chariots that are made out of iron. 50:15.080 --> 50:21.100 We can't do anything with them. Now, this is interesting. So we're seeing some obstacles 50:21.100 --> 50:27.420 to gaining full deliverance and freedom in the individual battle, not in the corporate battle, 50:27.580 --> 50:34.480 individual battle. Not, notice some things. Number one, not all enemies were equal in resistance. 50:35.800 --> 50:40.380 The hill enemies they could take out. Just kind of keep that in mind. Well, last time I prayed for 50:53.640 --> 50:56.940 somebody who was just poof and they were gone. And this time it's like, we ought to pray for 50:56.940 --> 51:02.300 an hour. Was there something wrong? Maybe not. You just met one with a little bit more 51:02.300 --> 51:06.840 pizzazz than the first bunch you dealt with. We may still be struggling in areas, but we get unified and 53:23.230 --> 53:30.230 say, God help us. He just shows up. And sometimes we have to grow in our faith to believe we can actually take 53:38.210 --> 53:45.590 the enemy out who has iron chariots. You got to believe you can do it or they're going to live 53:45.590 --> 53:55.110 with you the rest of your life. So here we're talking about growing and the process of growing 53:55.110 --> 54:01.730 before we can get full victory. There's nothing wrong with that, by the way. I don't know how it is now, but it used to be one of the things that would 54:12.190 --> 54:16.950 really spur a person on to work is when they didn't have enough money to pay their bills. 54:18.430 --> 54:22.850 They'd get a second job. They'd ask for more hours.
