They're made of dirt. And this concept goes back to what we learned in Exodus and Deuteronomy. 04:48.210 --> 04:57.930 If our temple is not attended to correctly, wild animals will multiply in it. Wild animals correspondents in the New Testament would be the demonic realm, I believe. 04:58.530 --> 05:03.050 Jesus describes the wild animals as other demons that are worse than the first. 05:04.490 --> 05:10.150 So here's the scripture. We'll read through the scripture. You have no clue what you're doing and why you're doing it. 07:06.290 --> 07:08.530 That is described right here. 07:09.470 --> 07:12.790 Some spirits, verse 45, are more wicked than others. 07:13.410 --> 07:14.770 They're not all the same. 07:16.410 --> 07:19.690 There's some that are just highly, highly toxic. 07:20.810 --> 07:25.490 And then there's a range and it goes down to some who just, 07:26.950 --> 07:31.930 they're just not all that wicked. They're still wicked, but nothing in comparison. 07:32.590 --> 07:37.270 So there is scripture to say, well, some demons are worse than others. 07:37.910 --> 07:40.470 Yeah, the harder ones to get out are the worse ones. 07:41.170 --> 07:45.670 That's why this spirit, we don't know how wicked this spirit was 07:45.670 --> 07:47.990 that Jesus was talking about on a scale of one to ten. 07:48.430 --> 07:52.510 Ten being really highly wicked and one being, well, they're wicked, 07:52.610 --> 07:54.410 but they're just not like that. 07:55.210 --> 07:57.450 We don't know where it fell in there. 07:58.990 --> 08:04.910 But once it got kicked out and found access back in, 08:06.950 --> 08:12.750 it took more wicked spirits than itself back in with it. 08:12.810 --> 08:15.050 Why did it do that? We're going to jump off here 08:39.410 --> 08:44.210 and talk about demons or unclean spirits or evil spirits. 08:44.710 --> 08:48.170 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, 08:49.330 --> 08:54.570 he walketh through dry places seeking rest and findeth none. 08:56.270 --> 09:00.850 So there's a number of things in that verse that we can see. 09:02.090 --> 09:08.590 First of all, spirits are able to live in a physical body 09:08.590 --> 09:11.590 the same way you and I are a spirit. We live in our physical bodies. 09:11.670 --> 09:14.290 The Holy Spirit is a spirit who can live in the physical body. 09:15.490 --> 09:19.190 And demonic spirits evidently don't need much room 09:20.230 --> 09:23.530 because when Jesus cast out the Legion, that was a lot of them. 09:24.990 --> 09:29.030 There's variations on that, but most agree it was like 6,000. 09:30.250 --> 09:32.950 6,000 spirits in one body. 09:33.830 --> 09:39.750 So they don't need a lot of room, but they can be in people. 09:39.930 --> 09:43.210 When they've gone out of a man, he walketh. 09:44.390 --> 09:47.550 He's wandering, he's moving, he's looking. 09:47.890 --> 09:50.770 Now notice these next two phrases are really interesting. 09:51.930 --> 09:53.690 Walketh through dry places. 09:53.910 --> 09:56.930 The word dry there means water less or dry. 09:58.850 --> 10:00.230 Now this is interesting. 10:01.190 --> 10:06.450 Once they're kicked out of a man, this is not out of a house or out of a building. 10:07.150 --> 10:10.590 Jesus is referring to a man, and that's important because we'll see that later 10:10.590 --> 10:12.930 once we get deeper in the book and we study this. 10:13.330 --> 10:15.630 Demons can... there is such a thing as haunted houses. 10:16.330 --> 10:20.010 There is such a thing as churches that are inhabited. 10:20.010 --> 10:23.530 And it's in the definitions. We'll see it if you haven't read ahead. 10:23.670 --> 10:25.550 We'll see it when we get there. If you read ahead, you'll see it. 10:25.910 --> 10:27.990 This particular case is a man. 10:29.270 --> 10:35.450 Once he left the man, he experienced dryness or waterlessness. 10:38.130 --> 10:39.390 You know why that is? 10:40.370 --> 10:44.470 Because the human body is made up of 75% water. 10:47.450 --> 10:50.390 It's looking for a human body. 10:50.570 --> 10:54.230 It's comfortable in a human body, this spirit. 10:55.430 --> 10:57.030 Okay, that's number one. 10:58.090 --> 11:01.510 And number two, it's seeking rest. 11:01.970 --> 11:03.590 Now if you'll jump ahead just a little bit. 11:03.750 --> 11:06.850 Page 39 and 40, we took that word rest apart. 11:09.210 --> 11:13.270 Bottom of page 39, rest in the strong means intermission 11:13.270 --> 11:16.850 or by implication, recreation or rest. 11:17.130 --> 11:18.390 Taking a break from work. 11:18.990 --> 11:23.830 In the fairs, it means to cause or permit one to cease from any movement or labor 11:23.830 --> 11:27.130 in order to recover and collect his strength. 11:27.970 --> 11:31.090 Now apply that to a demon that got cast out of a person. 11:31.210 --> 11:34.690 Isn't that interesting that when they're cast out, 11:34.970 --> 11:38.010 they don't like the environment of being out of a body 11:38.010 --> 11:40.250 because it's too dry. They like moist. 11:40.970 --> 11:46.770 And number two, they can't find rest outside of a body. 11:47.290 --> 11:49.970 They can't recover, collect their strength. 11:51.090 --> 11:56.990 Rest means to give rest, to refresh, to keep quiet, calm, patient expectation. 11:57.710 --> 12:01.710 If you go up to page 40, fairs continues on there 12:01.710 --> 12:06.770 and says intermission, cessation of any motion, business or labor, rest or recreation. 12:06.770 --> 12:11.090 So in other words, when a demonic spirit is outside of a human body, 12:12.090 --> 12:14.190 they hate it because it's too dry. 12:14.510 --> 12:18.050 And number two, they can't find rest. They can't find relaxation. 12:18.810 --> 12:22.930 They can't just take a break. Why? I don't know what. 12:23.210 --> 12:25.630 He didn't say any more than that. I don't know why. 12:27.270 --> 12:33.890 Is there so much warfare going on out there? 12:33.890 --> 12:38.570 Is there so much competition, so much dog eat dog, so to speak? 12:39.350 --> 12:42.150 When they're outside of the body, they don't have a habitation. 12:42.350 --> 12:47.310 They're just wandering. Anything can happen. I don't know, but they can't find rest out there. 12:47.390 --> 12:52.350 They're always laboring. They're always working, so to speak. 12:52.510 --> 12:57.850 They can't relax. For that reason, they want a person. 12:58.470 --> 13:04.950 Without those two reasons, they like the moisture of a human body. 13:06.030 --> 13:08.750 What's that all about? I can't say I know. 13:09.570 --> 13:13.430 But Jesus said that's what they like because they don't like to be in dry places. 13:14.930 --> 13:19.110 And number two, they can't find rest out there. 13:20.390 --> 13:23.090 In a body, they can take a break and relax, so to speak. 13:23.350 --> 13:24.770 Out there, they can't. Where do they come from? 14:36.770 --> 14:38.990 The word demon is not used in Scripture. 14:40.270 --> 14:43.050 It says either devil or evil spirit. 14:44.410 --> 14:47.350 Some of the more modern translations may use it, 14:47.830 --> 14:50.850 but most of the traditional translations, you can't find the word demon. 14:50.850 --> 14:52.810 It's something that we've applied to them. 14:53.590 --> 14:59.310 There are different theories on what are demons and where do they come from, 14:59.530 --> 15:01.370 because nobody knows for sure. 15:02.150 --> 15:05.570 So we're going to look at four of them here in a bit. 15:06.670 --> 15:10.390 Scripturally speaking, let's lay this distinction out. 15:11.030 --> 15:14.050 Scripturally, there's a difference between the angelic realm, 15:14.390 --> 15:16.030 whether they're fallen or not fallen. 15:16.030 --> 15:20.030 Scripture seems to make a difference or divide a line 15:20.030 --> 15:24.610 between the angelic realm and the demonic or the devil realm. 15:25.830 --> 15:29.150 They're not necessarily the same thing scripturally. 15:29.310 --> 15:33.070 There's a lot of scriptural inferences that separate them. 15:33.710 --> 15:38.790 So when we're casting out demons, we're not particularly casting out fallen angels. 15:42.020 --> 15:44.660 That's the overall held belief. 15:44.660 --> 15:46.520 Now, do we know for sure? No. 15:47.440 --> 15:50.380 But that seems to be what Scripture indicates. 15:51.720 --> 15:58.980 Angels have the ability to manifest in this realm without a body. 16:00.300 --> 16:05.700 Angels manifested in the New Testament over a hundred times to different people. 16:07.920 --> 16:12.940 Well, in Scripture, Old and New Testament, angels have appeared to people over a hundred times. 16:13.800 --> 16:16.060 Because angels have a body. 16:16.980 --> 16:19.220 Paul talked about it in 1 Corinthians 15. 16:19.820 --> 16:22.500 Some bodies are earthly or terrestrial bodies like this. 16:22.800 --> 16:26.020 And some bodies are celestial, heavenly bodies. 16:27.020 --> 16:31.540 Angels have a body. That's why they can manifest in this realm and we can see them. 16:32.800 --> 16:33.940 They can talk to us. 16:36.080 --> 16:38.120 Fallen angels can do the same thing. 16:39.520 --> 16:41.960 There's many scriptures to indicate that. 16:42.200 --> 16:47.260 For instance, the whole concept of Nephilim. 16:48.440 --> 16:55.840 The sons of God or the angels had intercourse or mingled with human women. 16:56.600 --> 16:57.740 The fallen angels. 16:58.800 --> 17:02.020 And out of it came Nephilim or very evil people. 17:03.180 --> 17:05.740 Well, there's a number of things stated in. 17:05.740 --> 17:09.860 If you understand that or if you believe that's what happened. 17:10.020 --> 17:16.340 That it was actually fallen angels that copulated with human women and produced Nephilim. 17:16.680 --> 17:24.260 Or these giant, crazy, powerful, unbelievable beings that were back in Noah's time. 17:24.760 --> 17:26.380 That God said, we got to wipe this out. 17:26.860 --> 17:28.280 This can't be allowed to go on. 17:28.720 --> 17:30.420 There's a number of things comes up there. 17:31.260 --> 17:35.760 First of all, you would have to say angels have the ability to reproduce. 17:37.100 --> 17:40.640 Or how did they reproduce with human women? 17:42.680 --> 17:47.920 The DNA must be fairly close because it worked. 17:48.960 --> 17:50.540 They were able to reproduce. 17:57.700 --> 18:00.620 Obviously, the women could see the angel. 18:02.060 --> 18:07.420 And the angel could, whatever their body is, could physically interact with the woman. 18:08.940 --> 18:10.240 And create offspring. 18:13.820 --> 18:16.040 So there's a number of things that pop up right away. 18:16.440 --> 18:22.460 If you read the book, well, we think it's the book of Enoch that was back then. 18:22.460 --> 18:24.240 The one we find online now. 18:24.900 --> 18:26.660 It is referred to in the New Testament. 18:26.900 --> 18:28.140 We know there was a book of Enoch. 18:28.600 --> 18:41.000 If you read the book of Enoch, the one thing that made God angry was these fallen angels had knowledge of what the heavenly realm was like. 18:41.180 --> 18:44.460 And they started giving that knowledge to the human being. 18:46.320 --> 18:47.780 Enoch talks about that. 18:48.680 --> 18:52.240 And all different sorts of things. 18:52.400 --> 18:59.460 From making tools and weapons to make up just all kinds of different things. 18:59.960 --> 19:04.880 And God didn't necessarily want that knowledge to humans or he didn't want it at that time. 19:05.140 --> 19:07.700 And that was one of the things that made him angry. 19:08.720 --> 19:12.920 So let's say that is the actual book of Enoch because as far as we know there's not a different one. 19:14.860 --> 19:16.600 Well, they were teaching humans. 19:18.140 --> 19:19.840 They were interacting with humans. 19:20.920 --> 19:29.060 They were making themselves visible, tangible, operable with human beings. 19:29.540 --> 19:30.380 Fallen angels were. 19:31.300 --> 19:33.520 Well, we know angels can do that. 19:33.840 --> 19:41.580 Because I told you they've appeared to human beings in a bodily form, done different things just in Scripture itself, lists over a hundred times. 19:41.580 --> 19:47.440 Here we have a bunch of examples of fallen angels doing the same thing. 19:48.340 --> 19:50.800 Because angels have bodies. 19:51.960 --> 19:53.780 Whether fallen or not fallen. 19:54.340 --> 19:55.380 Angels have bodies. 19:56.120 --> 20:02.040 And they have the ability to manifest in the physical realm. 20:03.000 --> no evidence scripturally that demons can manifest in the physical realm without a body. 20:23.560 --> 20:31.840 Now, through the discerning of spirits, gift of God, we can see them if God so wills. 20:32.900 --> 20:36.180 You know, some people have seen demons and they can describe them, this, that and the other. 20:37.200 --> 20:38.820 That comes by the Holy Spirit. 20:40.100 --> 20:52.200 The counterpart to that is if you have demonic spirits inside of you and they can access your brain, somehow they can unlock the ability to see into the spirit realm and see demons. 20:52.820 --> 20:56.900 People who are in demon worship or witchcraft, they do it all the time. 20:57.260 --> 20:59.400 And they're not doing it by the Holy Spirit. 21:00.120 --> 21:02.020 They're doing it by a demon spirit. 21:02.900 --> 21:11.120 But a human being without either the Holy Spirit's help or without a demon spirit's help cannot see into the spirit realm to see a demon. 21:11.540 --> 21:16.300 But they can see and interact with a fallen angel if a fallen angel shows up. 21:16.720 --> 21:19.540 Or a real angel, if a real angel shows up. 21:20.420 --> 21:27.420 So there's a distinction between those two realms and who's what and so forth. 21:30.080 --> 21:38.980 Fallen angels seem to be the ones who are the princes, powers and rulers of Ephesians 6 of the kingdom of darkness. 21:40.740 --> 21:46.660 They are the hierarchy who rule and demons are the lower in authority. 21:46.960 --> 21:51.360 They're more the working class or the workforce that this bunch rules over. 21:54.020 --> 22:02.980 Along with that, my experience, this is just my experience, is fallen angels tend to inhabit people or manifest less frequently. 22:04.660 --> 22:07.160 They will shove demons out to do that. 22:08.720 --> 22:15.860 But they don't like to get involved directly because they can end up in the pit. 22:16.320 --> 22:22.520 It's found in Luke chapter 8 verse 31 where you're dealing with the pigs and Jesus casting the legion out. 22:23.400 --> 22:27.740 They begged him not to cast him into the abyss is the King James version. 22:27.800 --> 22:30.080 Most of the traditional versions use the word abyss. 22:31.420 --> 22:33.460 It's referring to the bottomless pit. 22:38.540 --> 22:44.820 Now, demons can be cast there, obviously, or they wouldn't have been begging Jesus not to. 22:49.070 --> 22:59.990 Fallen angels can be held prison or two because the scripture tells us that that early bunch, back in Noah's time, 23:00.170 --> 23:06.530 who cohabitated with women and left their first estate, so to speak, is what it says in King James, 23:06.530 --> 23:13.110 and entered into relations with women at, I'm presuming, the flood period of time. 23:13.290 --> 23:16.890 God took them and bound them. They are under chains. 23:17.770 --> 23:21.270 That doesn't mean all fallen angels are under chains. 23:22.490 --> 23:25.350 That specific group is, though. 23:26.430 --> 23:33.230 So fallen angels can be put in prison, so to speak, the abyss, bottomless pit. 23:33.910 --> 23:38.970 They don't like to go there. They don't want to go there, so very seldom will they manifest through a human being. 23:39.270 --> 23:44.070 That's my understanding from my experience. 23:44.410 --> 23:50.210 Demons have no choice. They're kind of lower in authority, so they're kind of pushed around and told what to do by the fallen angels. 23:51.290 --> 23:56.910 But demons and evil spirits, the devils, King James refers to them as devils, doesn't say demons at all. 23:57.350 --> 23:59.190 They need a physical body to manifest. 23:59.190 --> 24:03.990 They are the ones who want a dwelling or a house or a home. 24:05.150 --> 24:11.050 Fallen angels have a body. That's why they can be chained. 24:12.570 --> 24:24.110 Remember Scripture says that those that were in that original thing with Noah and relations with women, they are chained under darkness. 24:25.470 --> 24:27.950 You can chain something with a body. 24:30.370 --> 24:33.730 So fallen angels have bodies.
