Well, thank you, Jesus, for this evening. Thank you for health and strength and life. Thank you for clarity and understanding, not only of the mind, but of the spirit. Our spirit, with your spirit. Understanding and seeing and knowing what you want us to see. Lord, I pray for corporate insight and understanding tonight, and I pray for individual insight. In Jesus' name, amen. Amen. Good evening, everybody. Thank you to those of you who are joining us by livestream. I know we have a number of people who have this cold thing going on, and they are joining us by livestream. They're not coming. So welcome, everybody. We're still talking about blessings and curses, and Molly loaned me this book. It's called The Breaking of Curses by Frank and Ida Mae Hammond. It's one of a series. It's really good. So if you want to get something that helps explain, that's a really good book. Good reference, good resource material. So hopefully I didn't bore you last week. I'm trying to lay a foundation for this. And to lay a foundation, you need to see it from A to Z. Now, the thing that I understand from this side of the fence as a pastor with Christians, most Christians don't even know there is such a thing as a curse. You know, in today's life, today's activity, most of them don't know what it is. That it even exists, that they could be under one or involved in one. Of those who do know, maybe 10%, 1 out of 10, can explain to you what it is, where it came from. What do you do with it? Maybe 1 out of 10. It is something that, that shoots fear through the body of Christ. And it's so sad that Christians are no different than the unsaved. When they get afraid of something, they run from it. Where God has given us the ability to run to it and deal with it, because fear is not of Him. Greater is He that is in us than He that's in the world. There's no weapon formed against us that will prosper. Why are we running? But the average Christian will run from something they don't understand, because it causes them fear. Rather than seek it out, see what the Scripture says, get some insight and deal with it. We take the ostrich approach. Just stick our head in the sand and hope it goes away. So it's something that I slowed up on and I've got a little more explaining to do. And then we can start making application. I doubt we'll get done tonight. We probably finish it next week. So let's review just a little bit what we covered last week. And I'll do this without PowerPoint. I'll just mention what we had. We're in the process of dealing with three subjects. The blessings of the father or generational blessings or the sins of the father, generational sin and curses. Angels and familiar spirits and blessings and curses. The third one, blessings and curses, if you understand that, the first two plug in really easily. So that's why we started with the third one. We talked about people getting weird. And rather than focusing on God, we'll get all wrapped up in looking for curses. And it's not scriptural, at least not New Testament scriptural. We're commanded to focus on God and call things by faith. As you do that, curses will fall. They'll be dealt with. So we just talked about that a little bit. We talked about do curses and blessings apply to today. Do those principles apply to today? And I think we showed that they do. I gave reasons why I feel they do. The whole principle of blessings and curses. Again, just a review. Before Lucifer fell, there was only one flow in the entire universe. And it was the flow from God down into all of his creation, whatever that was at that point. But since God has been alive forever. You know, that one's really... You can't wrap your head around that one. It doesn't make any sense. He's been around forever. Chances are good. There is a lot of things he's created. Before he got to us. So it's whatever was created, the flow was only God's flow. Then when Satan, Lucifer fell, Satan came along. Now we had an option. We had what we know now as righteousness or sin. Godliness or ungodliness. The option was to believe what Satan was saying and what he was putting out there. Versus what God was saying, what God was putting out there. We had a choice now. That was never... it would have been good if that had never happened. I don't think from God's perspective that was supposed to ever happen. It took out a third of the angels. It took down Adam and Eve and the human race. It's the choice thing between knowing good and evil like we talked about last week. God never wanted man to know evil. That wasn't in the design. So now we have two flows. The simplest way to see this is God's flow is called blessing. Satan's flow is called curse. Now the reason Christians get that messed up some is because of the translation of Deuteronomy and the curses. And we'll touch that here in just a little bit to explain that. But the entire realm of creation is designed to live off of or exist off of God. Without God, nothing exists. It all is attached to what the life that's coming from him. So he created everything to be in the flow. Well, when the second flow showed up, it had a conform to the spiritual law that was there, which was everything existed off of God, including Satan. But now he gave a choice of what to believe. And there's a flow you can get into. We talked about that quite a bit. Blessings and curses are simply the supernatural or spiritual flow coming either from God or from the devil. And this is where we ended in the trying to lay foundation part. Blessings are just God's character and endowment, who he is coming down to us. Curses is just Satan, his character, his empowerment, who he is coming down to us. It's just that simple. So then we made the application to, okay, is our curses still active? We looked at the curses of the fall. What God said about Adam and Eve back in Genesis 3. And it's very much so that curses are still active. So now we'll jump in and let's move forward from here. So if you could give me the PowerPoint. Here's what I want you to make sure you understand. What I just said, God flow results in blessings. Who God is being active in our life. Satan is the opposite results and curses. Who Satan is being active in our life. They do not switch roles. God does not do Satan's work and Satan does not do God's work. The Pharisees and scribes accuse Jesus of doing Satan's work. And he laid down a scriptural principle. He said a kingdom cannot be divided against itself. You got the kingdom of good, righteousness. You got the kingdom of evil, sin. You can't, Jesus can't go over and do this kingdom's work. Or the kingdom of righteousness falls. They can only operate in their lanes. So there's a God flow and there is a Satan flow. One is blessings, one is curses. So in a bit here, if you could get ready, we're going to look at Deuteronomy the last half of 27. And we'll just jump around all the way through chapter 30. That is where curses and blessings show up. And I'll just read you just a piece of how it's written. And then you'll be able to get it. Like for instance, the verse 15 of Deuteronomy 28. However, if you do not obey the Lord your God and do not carefully follow His commands I'm giving you today, all these curses will come upon you. You will be cursed in the city, you'll be cursed in the country, your basket, your kneading trough will be cursed, your womb will be cursed. It sounds like God is cursing these people. He is not. And I'll show you why right now. In the Hebrew language there's a difference between causative or permissive. Causative is when you cause something to happen. Permissive is when you permit it. So Deuteronomy 28. Does God give sickness and kill in the Old Testament but heal and give life in the New Testament when He's the same yesterday, today and forever? When His kingdom can't be divided against itself? Jesus made it so plain in the New Testament. It's Satan who kills and destroys. I have come that they might have life. You know, He really separated them for us. So if they're separated in the New Testament how can they be intertwined in the Old? They can't. So here is the thing that should give you some understanding and this will be in the book that we put together for this but this is really important. Dr. Robert Young of Young's Analytical Concordance and hints to Bible interpretation, that's the name of the book points out in the original Hebrew the Old Testament was written in Hebrew the verb is in the permissive rather than the causative sense. So to read it the way it was written in Hebrew Deuteronomy 28.7 it would say the Lord will allow or permit these plagues to be brought upon you versus the way it's written NIV says the Lord will inflict you with the boils of Egypt and tumors, etc. The New King James says the Lord will strike you with the boils of Egypt the King James says the Lord will smite thee with the bot of Egypt, etc. The reason it's written like God is doing it is the next... No, give me my, give me my PowerPoint back. Thank you. The reason it's written... Can you give me the next slide please? The original Hebrew of these scriptures was in the permissive tense. But because the English language has no corresponding permissive tense the translators messed it up. The verbs were translated in rather the permissive tense they were translated in the causative tense. So in other words when we read it it sounds like God is saying I will put these things on you. In reality I don't know why I don't have control of this. It's not working for me. If you can fix that for me that'd be great. There we go. Let's see. Still not working for me. Back up a slide. You're gonna have to follow me I guess if it's not gonna work for me. So rather than God saying I will smite you or I'll put these plagues upon you the correct translation would be God will allow or permit. He's not causing them. He's allowing them. So now let's go down two slides. There is thus no contradiction the God of the Old Testament and the New Testament is the same God that he let thee. Jehovah Rapha, Exodus 1526 he does not change. And other scriptures given there. So sickness, accidents, deaths come from Satan. Not God. That is the biggest misunderstanding about curses and blessings the average Christian has because they don't know God. Once you know God you already know I don't get why God would curse us. See right away there's a question of something's wrong here. Because the God I know well what is it saying in Jeremiah the God I know says I know the plans I have for you to curse you, destroy you turn your life into a living hell and I'll sit back and laugh. No. That's not his plans for us. To prosper us, bless us cause us to succeed. There's God's plans. And once you come once you grow to the point as a Christian where you know your God and God knows you some of this stuff it's like somebody got something wrong remember we're not reading the original texts the original Hebrew and Greek manuscripts we're not reading them we're reading translations and these people have multiple definitions to choose from when they translate something and according to their theology See, they'll translate it. And you find mistakes all through the Bible in the English language because of the translators. This is one of them. Sickness, disease, God's cursing them. No. And until you settle that, you can't have faith for healing and miracles. Because you never know if it's God or not. See, this could be God trying to teach me a lesson. That's why I've got heart disease. See, until that is settled, faith is pretty much useless because you don't know what to believe for. So then it's a if it be thy will, oh God. We don't know what your will is. It could be your will for me to have heart disease. Then again it could be your will to heal me. But since we don't know, well whatever your will is, just let it happen. Well I can guarantee you what's going to come out of that one. Faith calls those things that are not as though they are. You're not calling anything there. You're just submitting to faith whatever happens, happens. Not ruling it. That comes from not understanding curses and blessings. Sickness, accidents, death, etc. No, they don't come from God. God may lift his hand of protection and allow these things to come upon his children. They're permissive. He'll permit it to happen. But he is not the instigator of them. He didn't cause them. God did not cause Satan to sin. But he let him do it. God does not cause you and I to sin. In fact, James says God's not even tempted with sin, much less have the ability to tempt us to sin. It's not God's fault that man sins, but he lets us, he permits it. See, there's a huge difference there. Neither has God a child abuser. He does not chasten or child train his children with such horrible things. He chases them with his words to their spirits. And I'm reading out of that book from Young's there. So keep in mind, as we read the chapters that most concisely describe the difference between blessings and curses. God permits the demonic realm to put evil on us. He does not cause it. But see, here's the thing you have to understand. The devil in the demonic realm hates you and me so badly that if God lifts his hand and says, well, I'm not going to protect him in this area. They're just going to come in and fill the vacuum because they despise us. They're not going to cut us any slack. So if they have room to get in and cause us trouble, they'll just automatically do it. They'll just jump in and cause us trouble. So we looked at the curse of the fall and I've got a number of slides here for you. I have the scriptures for it, Genesis three. And if you want to slowly just go through them since I'm not in control of this, which is very aggravating to me because it just aggravates me because I can't go where I want to go. We've got the scriptures. So just go ahead and go through them. We're not going to go over this again. We went over this last week, but I put the scriptures in this PowerPoint so it's available to you. You can go to the next one. And the next one. And then the next one, which now here we've got the descriptions, what we talked about last week. Effects of sin. Christians are still naked without clothes. Christians still fight fear. Christians still blame shift. Next one. The snake still crawls on its belly. The woman still is the brunt of the demonic. The devil still hates women. They still have pain and childbirth. So it go on. Is the ground under a curse? Yes, it still is. It still brings four thorns and thistles. Next one. Do we still sweat to earn a living? Yes. So all these things are still in place. Even though Jesus bought it all back, it still comes by faith. Oh, thank you. That might help. It still comes by faith. In some cases, either our faith isn't where it needs to be. That's why we're struggling. I would say that's probably the majority of the cases. Or like death, some things will be dealt with at the end of time. So now I'm going to make a big statement and I'm going to go back to see if I can find it here. This is out of Robert Young's book. Sickness, accidents, and death come from Satan, not God. Keep that in mind because that's going to be the first question I'm going to ask you at the end. We're going to start there. It's tied into this. Jesus bought it all back for us, but it still comes by faith. So here is the traditional religious mindset. Well, some things are just accidents, aren't they? They're neither God nor the devil. I mean, if you're walking out in the parking lot tonight and you slip on the ice and fall, that's demonic. I don't know. We're going to talk about that. The blessings and the curses of the law. Now we know God watches over them to enforce them because it's how the spiritual law operates and it can't be broken. He makes sure that the flows happen, whether his flow or the other flow, the spiritual law he watches over. For instance, we can be sure the wages of sin is death. Does God cause the death? No, it's our choice. It's the flow, the master we get under that brings us death. God will permit that. But he will make sure that if you're serving that master, your wages will be death. If you're under that flow, God's watching over that flow to make sure that happens because it's here now, we got to deal with it. But he's not the one causing that death. The only way we get out of it is through Jesus, obviously. It's just a spiritual law. So the curse of the law. Here's where you can jump on the screen to Deuteronomy, if you would. And we're going to look at a few things here. I will be... let's go to the NIV. Let's use the NIV for this. Deuteronomy chapter 27 will start... let's start around verse 15. Cursed is the man who carves an image or casts an idol. So we're dealing with something that is false worship here. So if we get into false worship, that's the flow we're going to be under and that flow will bring curses. Verse 16 curses the man who dishonors his father and his mother. So if we do not honor our parents, we're going to be cursed. Because God curses us? No. There's two flows here. The flow of God is to honor your parents. The flow of Satan is to dishonor your parents. If you get out of this flow and over into this flow, you will have the fruit of that flow, which is death, destruction, everything that goes with that flow. That death and destruction, the bad things that come into your life are called a curse. If you get over into God's side, if you honor your parents, he will bless you with two promises. Remember what they are? Long life. And it will go well with you. That's God's flow. That's called blessings. We choose which flow we want to get under. If we want the demonic flow, we're under a curse. If we want God's flow and we go there, we're under blessings. You could say there's promises for both sides. They're just opposite. And you don't want the wrong promises. Well, let's just jump ahead. Verse 24. Cursed is the man who kills his neighbor secretly. Cursed is the man who accepts a bribe to kill an innocent person. So if you get over into doing things unrighteously, ungodly, it brings a curse. God permits that. He allows evil or bad things to enter your line, your life, your heritage. Chapter 28. But there's all kinds of blessings for staying in God's flow. Verse 3. You'll be blessed in the city. You'll be blessed in the country. So no matter where you go, if you stay in God's flow, you will be blessed means empowered to prosper. And when you read through the blessings, you can't define it any other way. Because the blessings say this is what will happen if you do it. So blessings is empowered to prosper. You will be empowered to prosper no matter where you live. City or country. Verse 4. The fruit of your womb will be blessed. The crops of your land and the young of your livestock, the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks. Now back in that time, it was mostly an agricultural type of society. So we're dealing with your living here, how you make a living. Everything you do in making a living is supposed to prosper. If it doesn't, there's a curse active. Somehow, some way, your life is under the wrong flow and you're reaping the fruit of that flow. If you get back to God's flow, you will prosper. That's what it said right there. The next verse, verse 5 says your basket and your needing trough will be blessed. Again, that's talking about the very essence of where you live out of your basket and eating trough. That's where they made their meals. That's their food. Verse 7. The Lord will grant that your enemies rise up against you and be defeated before you. See, blessing is empowerment to prosper. The Lord, verse 8, will send a blessing on your barns and everything you put your hand to should prosper. That's what blessing does. Cursed does just the opposite. It stops prosperity. It brings death to everything. It just doesn't work right. No matter how hard you try to make it flow, it just doesn't work right. And it goes on. He goes on down through verse 14 talking about that. Verse 15 again, chapter 28. However, if you do not obey the Lord your God and do not carefully follow His commands, the creeds I'm giving you today, these curses will come upon you. No matter where you live, you can't get away from it. City or country, it'll follow you. What will follow you? Well, even your food source, verse 17. You're going to struggle to find food. Verse 18, the fruit of your womb will be cursed. Your crops will be cursed. Verse 19, you'll be cursed when you come in. You'll be cursed when you go out. Verse 20, it's like a little summary, even though it's not done yet. The Lord will send on you curses. There's that translation. It should be, the Lord will permit or allow curses on you. Confusion, confusion is not a blessing. Confusion is being in the wrong flow. I just can't figure it out. That should be a clear sign. Some place I've opened my life to the wrong flow. Because confusion is not of God. That's what the New Testament says. Confusion is part of a curse. And rebuke. In everything you put your hand to. So no matter what you do, it's like you're going to be confused in it and you'll be rebuked or rebuffed back in everything you put your hand to. It will not prosper until you are destroyed and come to sudden ruin. Wow. Blessing is to prosper and have success down the road. Cursing is to be destroyed and be a total failure down the road. So when people say, I just don't know. It seems like we're going to lose everything. Wake up. If it's going that badly in your life, you have opened your life somehow to the demonic flow. This is not God. God never takes everything away from you and destroys you when you're in his flow. Now remember a story I shared a long time ago about God wanted me to buy my wife that blue van. And I refused. Over and over, I refused because I thought I could convince God it was a bad idea. And he was just wanting me to operate in this flow. And I wasn't going to do it. By not obeying, I had shifted over to this flow. I was in disobedience. He told me to do something and I didn't do it. I didn't want to do it. So now I'm in this flow. Remember what he said to me in beginning of November when he said, if you don't obey me, which means get back over and do what I told you to do. If you don't obey me, I will lift my hand off of you and you will lose everything you have and be a street person. Me and my wife and my family. You say, God wouldn't do that to me. Oh, absolutely not. God's not doing it to me. I moved from the blessing flow to the Satan flow. God says, if you stay there, I can't protect you. I'm going to lift my hand off of you. I can't protect you in your disobedience. And when I lift my hand off of you, the thief's going to come in and steal everything. He's like a roaring lion going around seeing who he can devour and he's going to devour you. So kind of like at the end of Deuteronomy 30. Choose life. Hello, don't stay in this flow. You say, were you under a curse? I was that close. I was that close. All the curse is, is you simply are, you're submitting to the wrong spiritual flow. And when you're in the demonic side, God permits that to take place. He doesn't force it. He doesn't cause it. He permits it. Thank God it never happened because you took authority over it and broke that curse. No, actually I didn't. Do you know how you get out of this to that when it's a disobedience thing? You obey. God, I'm sorry. All right, I'll do it. That curse is now broken. See, somehow we think a curse, many times in Christianity, we think a curse is something that gets on you. It sneaks up on you. It grabs you around the throat and starts squeezing the life out of you and you don't know where it came from and there's nothing you can do about it. It's just a curse. Oh, dear God, I hope it doesn't. If we don't know anything about it, maybe nothing will happen. We'll do the ostrich thing. Pretend nothing's going on. Curse and blessing are simple as obedience and disobedience. And you can break a curse by obeying or you can lose the blessing by disobeying. It's that simple. And once you see that, then the rest of how the spirit realm works is just so simple. And the answer to get free of curses is just so simple. Let's read on in verse 20. You are destroyed. Come to sudden ruin. Well, that ain't a blessing. Because of the evil you have done in forsaking him, there was me. There was me. Verse 21, it says, The Lord will plague you. See, that again is that causative permissive thing that the translators got wrong. The Lord will allow a plague to get on you with diseases until it has destroyed you from the land you are entering to possess. Is that God's will? No. But you disobeyed. You got under the wrong foe. And the Lord will permit you to eat the fruit of what you're serving here. And it's never life. Not when you're dealing with the demonic realm. So, jump down to chapter 30. I mean, it goes on and goes on and goes on. If you can't see that, blessing is the empowerment to prosper and curses is the empowerment to fail. You just need to read it a couple of times. It'll jump right out at you. So, he renews his covenant with them in chapter 29 and gets them all back on the same page and tells them again they've got to worship him and don't worship any other gods, etc. Chapter 30, verse 1, When all these blessings and curses I have set before you come upon you and you take them to heart wherever the Lord God disperses you among the nations. See, remember, it doesn't make any difference if you're in the city or in the country. You're going to be bluster cursed not because of where you live, but because of what your attitude is. If you end up in curses, verse 2, When you and your children return to the Lord your God and obey him with all your heart and with all your soul according to everything I command you today, then the Lord your God will restore your fortunes and have compassion on you and gather you again. He will restore your fortunes. Blessing. Verse 4, even if you've been banished to the furthest land, he will bring you back. Verse 6, He'll circumcise your hearts and the hearts of your descendants so that you love him with all your heart and soul and live. If you love God enough, you'll do what he asks because you love him. And when we don't do it, we're loving ourself more than him and there's something broken or wrong in our heart. He has to cut that away so that we can get back to loving him because when we love him, everything is blessed. He goes on and talks about that. Jump down to verse 11. Now, what I'm commanding you today is not too difficult for you. This is repeated in Romans chapter 10. When he's talking about faith, this is not too difficult for you. It's not up in heaven so you have to ask who will ascend into heaven, who will get it and proclaim to us that we may obey it, nor is it beyond the sea so that you have to ask who's going to go to cross sea that we can get it and we may obey it. No, the word is near you. It is in your mouth and in your heart so that you may obey it. So now that's one of the kinds of curses we're going to talk about. At this point, we've been talking, focusing more on generational curses. What happens in the generations as it passes down and we'll talk about that more yet before we're done with it. But what he's referring to there is the curse of words or word curses, spoken word curses. If you want blessing, it's in your mouth. You can choose blessing. You can choose curse with your mouth. So verse 15. See, I said before you life and prosperity, death and destruction. For I command you today to love the Lord your God walking his ways, then you will live and increase the Lord God will bless you. But if your hearts, verse 17, turn away and are not obedient, and if you are drawn away to bow down to other gods worship them, verse 18 I declare to you this day you will certainly be destroyed. Verse 19, here's the summary. This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you. Everything is witnessing this, heaven and earth. That I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now hint, hint, choose life so that you and your children may live. Now we're talking generational again. You and your children, now we're talking about generational blessings. Choose this flow. So he went from word curses back to generational. Of course, we choose this flow with our mouth, with our words. Verse 20, and that you may love the Lord your God listen to his voice, hold fast to him for the Lord is your life and he will give you many years in the land that he swore to your forefathers. So, everything in Deuteronomy 27, the last half all the way up through chapter 30, everything there is still active. If we are not saved, we are automatically under a curse. Because the only freedom from the curse of Adam and Eve, which actually is, and I said this last week and I want to remind you, Adam and Eve in the curse that fell on the human race there, actually is the curses of Deuteronomy or the curses of the law. This is the heart of it. This is where it started. Here's where it got in. And God gave just a few little tidbits of now that you chose the wrong flow, here's what's going to happen to you. In the law, he opened up the blessings and curses in detail, saying, you remember what Adam and Eve did back here? Let me give you the details on that. Here is what blessings look like. Here is what curses look like. Why would God give us those details so we don't get confused? And Christians still get confused. Well, I was driving down the road and I wrecked my car. Deer jumped out and I just totaled it. Bless God. Which one are you blessing? Well, praise be to God. Who are you praising here? Because if you're praising Yahweh, Jehovah, Jesus, the God of Heaven, for what just happened, you are sincerely confused and messed up. He did not cause that deer to come out and wreck your car. That is not a blessing of God. But see, well, that's just an accident. See, there's that favored Christian thing to do that we talked about last week. It's not blessings. It's not curses. There's just a middle here, isn't there? Where things just happen. Not scripturally. You're saved. You're unsaved. And then there are those in the middle who neither are unsaved or saved. They're just people. There's righteousness. There's sin. And then there's most of us who don't live in either one. We're just trying to live our life. It's in the middle. There is nothing in the middle. But see, Christians pick up the mentality. When something's going bad, stuff just happens. And we don't stop and go, no, wait a second. This isn't the empowerment to prosper. This isn't the blessing of God. So some place I open my life up to a different flow. Holy Spirit, what is it? Because we're going to close that. So that stops and only the blessing prevails. We don't do that. Grandma wasted away with consumption. I guess the Lord took her home. He needed her. No, she died of a curse. Well, you can't say that about Grandma. I just did and I'll say it again if you want to hear it. The reason she died of a disease is because she got into the wrong flow somehow. Was she unsaved? I'm not saying she's unsaved. God is gracious and merciful. We're saved as a gift by grace if we just put our faith in Him. But there's a lot of garbage we can put up with while we're on the way to Heaven. How do you know that that disease is a curse? Because the blessing says God heals us of all our sickness and disease. In fact, Jesus, Matthew 7, I believe it is, it says He carried it all the way. So how can we be over here saying, Glory to God, she died of consumption? That's mockery. And it comes out of ignorance. Christians don't know. They don't know what a curse is. A curse is when you're in the wrong flow and bad things are happening to you. That's what the Bible calls a curse. It can come on us numerous ways. Blessing is when you're in the good flow and good things are happening. And it can come on us numerous ways. And that's what we're yet to discover. But I'm trying to point this out so that we quit living such complacent, pathetic lives. As the church of Jesus Christ, who has been given the authority to be victorious over everything, we sure live pathetic. And part of it is we're, you know, it goes back to what God said in the Old Testament, we're destroyed for lack of knowledge. We just don't know. But here we sit. Sunday morning when most people show up, we're 200 and some people. Tonight we're 12, 13, 14, 15, 16. Maybe somebody left the dog in the car, 17. This is why the church is so pathetic. We don't want to know. Hopefully there's 200 watching by livestream. But chances are they're not. We are content to the last book we looked at letting the getting in a covenant with the enemy, letting the enemy move in and live with us as Christians. We are content to do that. We're content to live with brain disease. Oh, the doctor says there's nothing we can do. So just pray I make it through. No, I ain't going to pray you make it through. I'll pray for you to get healed or I'll pray for you to die. Which one do you want? But just to hang on and suffer for God's glory is being under the wrong flow. It's called curse active in your life. Curse is simply you've got Satan's realm happening in you. We should be fighting that with our last breath. Sometimes we have taken to the grave with us. Hebrews 11. But we should be fighting it. Why? Because it's not God. And that's why the church is so weak and so powerful, powered less and pathetic. We don't want to know. It scares us. It would actually take some effort. Because what if God actually shows us something we need to change? Ooh, there's a thought. What if he shows us something we don't want to change? Can't I get to heaven just living the way I am? I'm sure you can. You can get to heaven by either riding in the front seat of the Cadillac running down the road. Or we can tie you up with a rope to the bumper and drag you down the road. You're going to heaven either way. Which way would you prefer? Behind the bumper, dragging on the ground, just getting beat to nothing. That's this flow. Sitting in the front seat in comfort with the air conditioning on. That's this flow. Choose you this day who you'll serve. God says, hint, hint. Choose life. It's just a whole lot better. But it takes more effort. It requires something of us. It's a continual, we're growing in this. So let's go back to the projector if you wouldn't give me that back. Can you find the one we were on? If you can't, I probably can. There it is. So we'll go right there. What we see as curses is simply the flow of evil from the kingdom of darkness in our lives. Curses is not God getting angry. And he's going to show us. Slap us upside the head. Nope. Curses is coming out from underneath God and getting under a different God in a different part of your life. You don't lose your salvation the first time you disobey. But you play with that. You can sure look in your life to the demonic realm. And he doesn't want that for us. Ooh, look. Mine is working now. Isn't that exciting? What we see as curses... Oh, let me back up. We're surrounded with it. And blessing surrounds us too, by the way. Since Jesus died and rose from the dead, blessing is as easy to grab as curses are. But to get blessing, that's why we have to fight the fight of faith because we're living in a world that is in a whole big mess of curses. The worldwide flow of curse on the human race could be stopped if humanity would agree on righteousness and submit to God's kingdom. The whole worldwide thing could be stopped. I have believed that for years and years and years. I got a couple of scriptures there for it. There's numerous ones that talk about it. But remember, it wasn't long ago. I read a little bit out of Howard Storm's book. And how he was the atheist who died, went to hell, and then God took him out. Jesus came and got him, took him, didn't get him to heaven because he didn't want to go all the way there. He felt too unworthy. So then three beings came and described his life to him and then described the future to him. And they told him, they said, everything that's happening on earth that is evil could be stopped and turned to righteousness if the whole earth would turn from sin and turn to God. Get out from under that flow and get into this flow. That's exactly what it says there. Human beings, Genesis 1, 26 to 28, human beings are supposed to rule and reign on earth. Genesis 11 verse 1 and 6, that's the tower of Babel. When God came down and he saw man united, and what did he say? They're all of one tongue. Anything they imagine, they can do. See if we could get as one people under God, anything worldwide, we'd want to stop storms, hurricanes, tornadoes, all the stuff of destruction, disease and everything. Boom! We could shut it down right now. Jesus bought it back. But that probably ain't going to happen. But we can still stop the personal flow in our life. And we'll get into how to break the curse. That probably won't happen tonight, but we'll get into it. However, the basis for the evil flow to get on us or in us working in us is sin, unbelief, disobedience. A good example of that is Balaam in Israel. Remember when Balaak hired Balaam to curse Israel? And Balaam tried and all he kept doing was blessing him. And Balaak got all upset and said, why are you doing that? And Balaam said, I can't curse something that is living under the blessing. So when you're totally plugged into this flow, which they were by grace, no curses could come rest on them. The basis for the evil flow to get on us or in us is sin. It's unbelief. It's disobedience. And I won't enlarge on those, but unbelief actually is what takes us into sin because we don't believe God. So therefore we just walk away and do the other thing. So this is the point I wanted to get here yet tonight. The vehicles for curses or the wrong flow to get on us are numerous. Remember, and this is the picture we're going to develop on. I don't think we'll get it done tonight. But there's a vehicle that transports the evil flow. The first thing we want to look at is the generational sins of the fathers. That is the vehicle that takes the flow of evil from one generation to the next generation to the next generation. And yes, it is spiritual, but it is also very, very much taught. Very much physical. So let me give you an example on that. If you're raised in a home that does not want God, want nothing to do with God, don't go to church. You're just, you're godless, you're heathen. And you're growing up under the parents who are like that. When you become an adult, will you naturally want God? No, it's going to, it's going to take God to get you to want God. Because you've been trained and brought up in the way of not serving God. Now there's going to be spiritual forces, familiar spirits, demonic forces that are going to try to keep you going down that road. Believe me, they're going to work with that sin of the fathers that's coming down. But not only are there spiritual forces, do you know what the biggest problem here is? They've now been trained to live that way. When a demon gets on us because of something we've been doing, that's wrong. Let me give you one here that might smack just a little bit. The last one. Not tithing. God says, when we don't tithe, we're robbing him and we will be cursed with a curse. Okay? Malachi 3.8 and 9. Now if you cross-reference that over to 2 Corinthians 9.8, when you're dealing in the realm of giving to God, everything in life gets touched. Financial giving to God. Because 2 Corinthians 9.8 says if we give, we will have everything we need at all times for every situation. There's blessing. So if all of life can be touched by our obedience of financial giving, then all of life can be touched by our disobedience and coming under the flow of curse. You can't have it both ways. Well, if I'm disobedient, it'll just touch my finances maybe. No, it'll touch everything. It'll touch your children. It'll touch your grandchildren. It'll touch your health. It'll touch your marriage. It'll touch everything. Because the spiritual law is financial giving brings blessing on all of your life. You can heal marriage problems by beginning to tithe. All of a sudden things start to shift and change, and God's at work, and what did you do different? I just started to tithe. It's not just a financial thing that gets touched. It's everything that gets touched. So as the blessing can touch everything, a financial curse can touch everything also. So now let's go back to the concept of sins of the Father, the generational thing. You're being raised in a family that does not tithe. You're not being taught to tithe. You're not being shown the tithe. You're not being taught what to believe for because of the tithe. Your money is yours, and you can spend it how you want, is how you're being raised. Okay, that will move you over here. Unquestionably, that will move you over here. Well, I know a lot of rich people who don't tithe. Yeah, and I know a lot of those same rich people who are dying in many areas of their life. They got money, but they got nothing else. They lost their family. They lost their wife. They're into the third or fourth wife already. I mean, you just go on and on and on. Why do rich people kill themselves if money is the source of all satisfaction? You know, think it through. So now they're under a curse, and different areas of their life are going to be touched. So now, mom and dad who taught the children not to tithe, and now the children are adults also. And maybe mom and dad, let's just use a hypothetical thing. They're 50, 60 years old. They realize, yeah, that was wrong. And they make the switch and come out from underneath the curse and obey. And they begin tithing. When they begin tithing, that whole realm of curse that established because of not tithing will start to crumble and come to nothing. Now, you can take authority, avert and pray against it and cast it down. Nothing wrong with that, but you don't have to. That will crumble and fall. It may take a little longer, but it'll do it all by itself because of your obedience, because the obedience says you're blessed. But now we have adult children, 30, 40, 50 years old, who have never been taught the discipline of tithing. And that's what it is. It's a self-discipline because of love. Do you know what Paul said in 2 Corinthians 8? He said, I'm testing your love for God by watching your giving. Our love for God is directly tied and attached to our ability to give financially. So if you love God with all your heart, that tithe should be an oberainer. Now, in case there's some, I doubt there's any sitting here, but in case there's some, we're going to listen to this. Let's just hit this point. Well, I don't believe in tithing. I believe you just give. And if you just follow the spirit and give, you'll give far more than the 10%. Okay, so let's go with that. Good. Then tithing shouldn't bother you. Because if you're already giving more than 10%, why does saying give 10% bothers you? You're already giving 15%. Okay. So the whole argument of, well, I don't tithe because I give far more. Well, then you should be all for tithing because tithing is only 10%. You're giving 18%. Okay. Number one. Number two is this. Well, I don't believe in tithing. I believe you should give just freely and you'll end up giving more. At the end of the year, how much did you give? Did you check yourself? Oh, we give a lot. Did you check yourself? Did you give your one out of 10? Did you give your 10%? Well, I don't have to check. You might be surprised if you do. You might think you're given so much. And you ain't given much. And you're under a curse and you're bringing your children under a curse because of it. You know, I had one guy tell me this. Well, I believe you're supposed to give till it hurts. You know what? For me to give a $20 bill away sometimes hurts. My flesh isn't always in agreement with just scattering it. There's days it's like, no, we're going to put this in and we're going to do it cheerfully. See, we're smiling. In other words, we're doing it whether we want to or not because we love him and we're going to obey him. Okay, so now you got these adult children who were never taught anything about probably going to church, much less tithing. And mom and dad start. And mom and dad pray the curse against the curse. So let's say it's a spiritual thing that's holding the children bondage. Let's just say it is. You can break that demonic curse. Do you know where the biggest problem is going to be to get them to move over and actually obey and tithe? Right between the years. Because everything they've been shown and taught in all their formative years has told them, you don't have to. This is not needed. There's going to be the biggest hindrance. How did that get there? Sins of the fathers. The father taught that sin to his children. Well, I thought it was just demons and spiritual stuff. Well, it is. But generational is far more than just getting under the wrong flow. Yeah, you got to get out from underneath it. I agree with that. But when you get out, you have to renew the mind. That sometimes can be way harder than casting the demon out. Just saying. So when we're dealing with generational stuff, let's just stop and talk about it a little bit. And then that's where we'll end for tonight. We'll pick it up there next week. Generational stuff is things that get into a family line that are not God. If they're not God, they have to be because there's no middle ground. Remember? Okay. So if there's things going on in the family that are not God, then they have to be of this flow. And they're going from generation to generation to generation. It can be a disease. Like an example I gave a number of studies back was about cancer. And how that had gone back four or five generations. Every generation. Not everybody died of it. But every generation somebody was one, sometimes two would die of cancer. And then that thing would jump again and die of cancer and die of cancer. Now they're proving that once you've had these things, you can actually get a weakness toward them. And pass it physically on. They're proving that now. It can link up in your DNA. And you actually pass a weakness towards certain diseases on. So when the doctor says, well, this person has a weakness towards diabetes, physical weakness. That can be true. And everybody for the last two, three generations always end up with diabetes when they get old. So I suppose I'm going to get a two because it's a physical thing. Or here's a big one, breast cancer. You know, they've proven breast cancer can go on in the physical. So if you've got relatives, parents specifically or grandparents, a grandmother or a mother who both had breast cancer. Chances are really good. You're going to get it because your physical body set up for it. That is generational. And you know what? I'm going to throw it under sins of the fathers. Do you know why? Why didn't they fight it? Why didn't they stop it? And bring it to nothing and say, no, not in my family line. No. I forbid it. It's going to stop with me. Oh no, we're Christians. Bad things happen to Christians. So we'll just all die of cancer and give God the glory. Idiots. Idiots in the truest form means supremely ignorant. That's what Paul called them in 1 Corinthians chapter 12. Hold the question for the end. We're close. It is our covenant duty to fight everything that is not God. That is not of that flow. If it's in our family line and there's stuff in everybody's family line because we're living on this earth and we're surrounded with it. My duty is when I see it to fight it and get out from underneath here and get this established. So what I hand on, I might be too old to physically hand it on to my children genetically. But if I can get in front of it, I can hopefully teach my children by the time they reproduce, they have beat it and handed on genetically and rather than having a weak family line genetically towards diabetes or towards breast cancer, we have a family line that is blessed with health and it never experiences these things. So even when it's passed on physically, I throw it under sins of the fathers. You got lazy, complacent or Christians or non-Christians who are just doing nothing about this and just letting her gain steam and roll on. And then here is the biggest challenge. I come along and point that out and say, that's demonic. That's not God. That's the flow of Satan. Inevitably, my grandma died of cancer. Are you saying that was the devil that killed her? We get offended and we're going to protect the curse. Because we loved our grandma. We loved our mother. For us to say, I loved them, but they were wrong. Oh, we'd never do that. So we will protect the curse and propagate it another generation. Because rather than taking the stand and saying, you know what? We got to make some changes here in the family line. We'll protect. We'll watch over. Oh, yeah. And our children see that. Our grandchildren see that. And here we go. Sins of the fathers going on generation after generation after generation. Rather than being in the flow of God being blessed. We're protecting the flow of the demonic and we're cursed. So sad. So sad. And it's so hard. For you, for me, because we're all ministers in some way, shape or form. It's so hard when you get caught in those things. And the sins of the fathers, the training of the fathers has passed down. And you're standing there looking at this saying, this is absolutely not God. It's not prosperity. It's not his blessing. It's not life. It's not health. This is absolutely not God. And these people say to you, we just believe God's going to be glorified through this. And they're in a vulnerable spot. They're hurting. So pastor, could you pray that God gets glorified through this death. And they're shriveling up and drying up from a disease like a prune. It is so difficult when you get caught in that and I get caught in that. To handle that correctly without agreeing with it. Because now I'll give you a secret. You agree with that and pray to please their request. You just opened your life to a curse. You just switched your way over. You say, how'd you do that? By being a pleaser of men rather than a pleaser of God. Paul said, I can't please men and God at the same time. And it's so easy to just slide over and okay, let's just pray. And everybody's crying and everybody's go, we're big group hug. And it's such an emotional moment. There's so much love flowing. Yes. And you walk away and two years later your life starts going to hell in a handbasket. And you can't figure out why. I can tell you where it started. Right there in that group hug, when you were going along with something that is ungodly, unscriptural. It's a curse and you agree to it. You opened your life to it. It's that easy. That's why we have to know what is God, what's not God. And we just can't go there. Thing is we don't know everything. That's why sometimes we go there and then God teaches us and shows us. And we go, oh, we better get out of that and get over here. And we keep growing and we keep jumping ship from that to God side. And that's good. It's called growth. And then hopefully we can pass that on so that our children and our children's children can learn from what we learned and the blessing multiplies and gains momentum. And my grandchildren end up way more blessed than I ever lived. Because of the way I lived, the generational blessing passed down. So that's as far as we'll go tonight.
