So to answer that top question, how do we know if demons are 17:36.550 --> 17:39.890 trying to affect us, speak to us or not, whether from the outside or inside? 17:40.850 --> 17:44.850 Well, number one, use the word on them and see what they say to you. See what the thoughts, 17:44.850 --> 17:51.850 the thoughts will go through your head. And when you challenge it, my experience is this, 17:52.030 --> 17:56.050 when you challenge it, they'll speak with you a little more in your thoughts, 17:56.870 --> 17:59.730 but if you challenge them the right way, then they start cussing at you. 18:01.130 --> 18:05.230 That's just almost a hundred percent of the time. And you'll have all these cuss words 18:05.230 --> 18:10.090 go through your mind. You blankety blank blank blank and it's like, well, yeah, 18:10.090 --> 18:15.290 kind of laid your cards out now, didn't you? So then you go and proceed to deal with them. 18:15.470 --> 18:17.090 You say, well, if they're in the outside, get rid of them. 18:18.170 --> 18:22.690 You don't need demons hanging around trying to influence you 24 seven, get rid of them. 18:23.350 --> 18:28.350 Now this one has been used first, John four, one through three, here we're told to test the 18:28.350 --> 18:34.630 spirits and find which ones are anti Christ. And what's really saying, what it's literally 18:34.630 --> 18:40.550 saying is anti Christ is anti anointing. All of the devil's kingdom is against the anointing 18:40.550 --> 18:47.150 or anti anointing, anti Christ. So can you bring that scripture up? Because it's it, 18:48.010 --> 18:53.410 people will quote this one all the time. Beloved, do not put your faith in every spirit, 18:53.510 --> 18:58.490 but first test the spirits to discover whether they proceed from God for many false 18:58.490 --> 19:03.170 prophets have gone forth into the world. So stop right there. If you go back previously, 19:04.750 --> 19:11.570 he's dealing with the spirit of anti Christ. And he's talking about 19:12.950 --> 19:20.870 the spirit of anti Christ working through people specifically profits. That's why he says that. 19:21.710 --> 19:25.190 You're going to have to test the spirits of the profits 19:26.370 --> 19:31.330 because many false prophets have gone out into the world. Next verse. 19:32.370 --> 19:38.790 By this you may know, perceive and recognize the spirit of God. Every spirit which acknowledges 19:38.790 --> 19:45.570 and confesses the fact that Jesus Christ, the Messiah actually has become man and has come 19:45.570 --> 19:53.050 in the flesh is of God, has God for its source. So hold it right there. So apparently 19:53.050 --> 19:59.930 anybody who is under the anti Messiah or anti Christ anointing 20:01.330 --> 20:06.910 will not go along with Jesus came in the flesh. So let me say this and then we'll go back and make the application. 20:52.190 --> 20:56.150 As we get deeper into the end times and the anti Christ spirit gets stronger, 20:56.870 --> 21:01.310 we are going to find people denying the fact that Jesus came in the flesh, 21:01.510 --> 21:08.310 died, rose from the dead, etc. Whether they're prophets or not, that is the telltale sign 21:08.310 --> 21:14.050 there of the anti Christ. They're of that spirit. They're not of God's spirit. 21:14.050 --> 21:18.330 They're of that spirit. Because if you're of God's spirit, you will say yes, Jesus came, 21:18.650 --> 21:23.430 he came in the flesh, he died, he rose from the dead. The basic heart of salvation, they will confess 21:23.430 --> 21:30.990 that. Anti Christ are against God's spirit won't. So what's going to happen is, as time goes on, 21:31.210 --> 21:38.550 in an effort to push Christianity specifically out of the scene, there's going to be a lot of 21:38.550 --> 21:46.470 people, a wave of movement, maybe worldwide I would think, to try to squelch Christianity and one of 21:46.470 --> 21:53.770 the things they'll hit is Jesus isn't God. So it'll come in under this. As we get closer to 21:53.770 --> 22:01.210 anti Christ, the spirit of anti Christ will rise up. So now I grew up in a full gospel church 22:01.210 --> 22:06.590 that believed in casting out demons, believed pretty much in everything I still believe in. 22:07.410 --> 22:13.630 They just never did it. I mean, it never happened. So it's like someone telling you how to overhaul 22:13.630 --> 22:19.230 your car and they've never lifted the hood on a car. But they can tell you how to overhaul your 22:19.230 --> 22:25.630 engine. It's like, technically, yeah, pull out a book and you can do it. But experientially, 22:25.690 --> 22:31.570 you might run into some trouble. Okay. So I was taught all the way through college 22:32.260 --> 22:38.250 that the way to know if a demon is a demon or not is that scripture. 22:40.250 --> 22:49.970 Test the spirits. Well, take it in context. Now, are demons anti Messiah? Yes. Are they 22:49.970 --> 22:59.750 anti the anointing? Yes. But that test doesn't work on demons. I learned that the hard way. 23:01.730 --> 23:11.890 So now I'm going to share that story with you. So there was a spirit that was manifesting through a 23:11.890 --> 23:16.430 person and you know, demons would pop in and out this that and the other. All of a sudden, 23:16.510 --> 23:20.770 this spirit showed up talking through the person who claimed to be an angel. 23:23.940 --> 23:27.760 God sent me here because he can see you're struggling. He can see you're having problems 23:27.760 --> 23:33.840 in the same way. Demonic spirits can get it, can speak through a person. Angelic spirits can do the 23:33.840 --> 23:42.880 same. So I am here to help you. Never heard of that one before. Okay. Well, let's talk about this. 23:43.220 --> 23:47.060 First thing I need to know is if you're trying to deceive me or not. Because chance are good, 23:47.060 --> 23:56.200 you are. So where did I reach for? First, John 4. Because that's what I was taught. 23:57.700 --> 24:05.020 And I said, did Jesus come to earth? Absolutely. Did Jesus come in the flesh? 24:06.320 --> 24:14.420 Absolutely. And he came to die for your sins. That's what it said. Do you believe Jesus 24:14.420 --> 24:23.400 came to earth and died for my sins? Yes, I do. Because the scripture says even the demons 24:23.400 --> 24:27.960 believed that and trembled. I mean, it was just, it was really good. And I'm going, 24:29.280 --> 24:35.220 it just didn't feel right. The answers were all correct. It just didn't feel right. 24:37.360 --> 24:42.240 So I thought, well, what am I going to do? So I started talking about various things, 24:42.240 --> 24:47.440 like that first encounter I had. Once I started talking about the blood of Jesus, 24:47.640 --> 24:52.480 it started getting irritated. So I started talking about the blood of Jesus. 24:53.480 --> 24:57.240 You know, so what do you think of the blood of Jesus? And it gave me all the right answers. 24:57.380 --> 25:02.980 The blood of Jesus is what forgives people of their sins. And just line by line. 25:04.480 --> 25:10.020 And I thought, what do I do with this? So I got on the phone, called up my mentor. 25:10.020 --> 25:15.920 I said, I got a problem. Have you ever heard of this? No, no, no, no. We started talking about it. 25:16.180 --> 25:23.520 And he said, is that person there now? Yep. He said, is that supposed angel there now? So you've got to test humans to make sure they are truly 26:09.240 --> 26:13.040 servants of God. And that's one of the tests that works on humans. He said, it doesn't work on 26:13.040 --> 26:20.520 demons. I said, apparently not, because I tried it and either this is an angel or that doesn't 26:20.520 --> 26:27.620 work. He said, well, he said, I'm not buying it. He said, so he went through all kinds of tests. 26:30.500 --> 26:35.920 Couldn't come up with anything. He said, well, let's do this. So he was praying and I was praying about it. Of course, he's years and 27:10.020 --> 27:16.100 years ahead of me. I wasn't getting nothing. And he called me the next morning. He said, 27:16.580 --> 27:21.020 when you see that person again and that spirit comes back, here's what the Lord told me to 27:21.020 --> 27:27.760 the Lord told me you should need to do. He said, I'm not buying this. I got a feeling 27:27.760 --> 27:34.000 this is not an angel. This is a demon. He said, they know the facts. And he says, that's what 27:34.000 --> 27:42.000 it's repeating back to us is the facts. It's not what he's talking about. 30:06.180 --> 30:13.120 But it uses the word spirit and people are ignorant to what that means. God is a spirit. 30:14.060 --> 30:19.980 Jesus is a spirit in a human body. Now the Holy Spirit is obviously a spirit. 30:20.720 --> 30:25.580 If you go through scripture and look up everything that's spirit, angels are spirit, 30:25.800 --> 30:32.360 cherubim are spirit, Satan is spirit, fallen angels are spirits, demons are spirits. 30:32.980 --> 30:36.280 You and I are spirits in human bodies. 30:37.900 --> 30:41.700 But people are ignorant to the understanding of what spirit means. 30:41.700 --> 30:45.540 So when they read spirit, they think it's got to be demons. It's no, it's not. 30:46.460 --> 30:51.960 And I'm just trying to, in case anybody online or anybody listens to this later, 30:52.140 --> 30:56.160 in case you ever get caught in that, demons don't respond to that scripture because 30:56.160 --> 30:59.200 that scripture is not about demons. Because he wouldn't worship with me. 31:12.780 --> 31:18.960 He's Antichrist. He's not for Christ. He's Antichrist. And that showed up when it came time to worship. 31:20.860 --> 31:26.360 So to do the testing, letter A, talk the scriptures to them. Talk to them about the 31:26.360 --> 31:30.580 blood of Jesus. All kinds of things, the blood and the anointing of Jesus do for us. 31:31.540 --> 31:38.840 Have them praise and worship. You say, well, why would you bring these things up? 31:38.840 --> 31:43.340 I mean, what? Are we going to go around talking to demons? Sometimes we're talking to them. We 31:43.340 --> 31:53.040 don't know we are. Especially in prayer lines. Had one just a couple of weeks ago. 31:54.520 --> 32:03.440 And I said, I said to the person, I said, are you here? And they said, 32:04.720 --> 32:12.700 I think so. Everything's really foggy. And then they kind of just dazed off. 32:13.220 --> 32:17.380 You know, standing there, but kind of just like, yeah, you just disappeared. And I thought, 32:17.660 --> 32:26.980 yeah, there's spirit in charge now. And I said, pray with me. Yeah, I just got big. 32:28.900 --> 32:35.780 Let's pray. Let's worship. And it started going. 32:38.580 --> 32:45.420 It's like, yeah, that's exactly what I thought. You replace the person and now you've got the 32:45.420 --> 32:53.240 brain and you're conscious. You've got these thoughts coming in. You know, you should really, 33:11.860 --> 33:18.380 sounds good, sounds scriptural. But if it comes right down to pay dirt, 34:40.100 --> 34:46.600 the Holy Spirit will worship the Father with you. He is the one who leads us into worship. 34:47.260 --> 34:53.460 And we worship in spirit and truth. He will worship the Father with you. Because everything 34:53.460 --> 35:00.220 goes back to the Father. Ask him to worship with you. And I want to hear you worshiping 35:00.220 --> 35:03.220 with me. Since I'm hearing you anyway, I want to hear you worship. 35:05.320 --> 35:10.960 In all these things, you're looking for their response. Let her see. Does it stop? Will it get angry? Will 35:19.820 --> 35:25.020 it try to change the subject? Will it start cussing at you? All these things indicate what 35:25.020 --> 35:31.100 kind of spirit you're talking to. Test the spirit. You say, I don't know God's voice. 35:31.100 --> 35:37.480 You can test it. The Holy Spirit doesn't mind being tested because he's the real thing. 35:38.000 --> 35:42.600 He has no problem with it. Letter D. If they're on the outside of us, they have a certain amount 35:42.600 --> 35:47.140 of bodily access and that's why they're able to speak through the person, look out their eyes, 35:47.220 --> 35:51.640 act out their body, etc. I mean, if they're on the inside of us, my mistake, I said outside, 35:51.820 --> 35:55.820 inside, they have a certain amount of bodily access. One of the reasons I don't like to 35:55.820 --> 36:00.380 call the demon up and have them speak to me through the person is because I've now given 36:00.380 --> 36:06.900 them legal access to the brain in a fuller dimension. You can see them in the person's eyes 36:07.520 --> 36:14.160 because the eyes are the gate to the body and they're living in the body. And somehow you can 36:14.160 --> 36:18.280 see them and they still don't have access to the brain, but you can see them by looking in 36:18.280 --> 36:23.580 the eyes. They'll look out at you. But don't necessarily give them access to the brain 36:23.580 --> 36:28.240 if they don't have it. If they're not talking to you, don't give it to them. 36:28.680 --> 36:31.460 See, like the one couple of weeks ago, when it started grunting, 36:32.260 --> 36:38.020 all I would have had to do was engage with it. Ask it a question. Who are you? Give me your name. 36:39.120 --> 36:42.840 Well, now I just gave it access to the brain and it may not have had much. 36:44.080 --> 36:49.980 But now I gave it permission. Don't do that if you don't have to because it's usually worse 36:49.980 --> 36:54.960 for the person. So as a rule of thumb and a deliberate situation, I try to prevent the 36:54.960 --> 36:58.540 demon from interfacing with the person's brain. It helps the person to stand against the demon. 36:59.020 --> 37:05.800 So now the whole thing that they're after and I'm going to give this in a little separate section 37:05.800 --> 37:10.620 explanation of this. We talked about it before. I showed you examples last week and I'm going 37:10.620 --> 37:14.980 to show you more. The whole thing that demonic spirit realm is after is mind control. 37:15.580 --> 37:18.640 Of course, they want to control the body, but if they get your mind, they've got your body. 37:19.860 --> 37:23.060 So that's the whole thing they're after. It's what they're looking for. 37:23.060 --> 37:27.280 It's the exact thing the Holy Spirit is looking for. 37:28.400 --> 37:34.920 And we said that right at the end last week. The Holy Spirit wants control of our minds. 37:38.780 --> 37:42.640 And yes, like we said, why are you going to go to it? I've had people say this. 37:43.060 --> 37:47.440 I'm not going to know church and getting brainwashed. Well, that's the problem. 37:48.140 --> 37:54.400 You need your brainwashed. It's filthy dirty and you need the water of the word 37:55.200 --> 38:05.020 to wash it. That's exactly what the Holy Spirit wants to do. Wash our brain. Wash the garbage out 38:05.980 --> 38:13.300 and put good stuff in. He wants control of our brain. The difference between the Holy Spirit 38:13.300 --> 38:18.620 and an evil spirit is the Holy Spirit we have to submit ourselves to. 38:19.200 --> 38:22.920 An evil spirit, you start by submitting, but then they take control 38:23.940 --> 38:28.940 and they force themselves on you and you're driven rather than being directed. 38:30.420 --> 38:35.420 So mind control from the outside, I think the most they can really do there is touch our 38:35.420 --> 38:41.280 thoughts, our emotions, maybe try to help us, have some temptation. I don't think they have any 38:41.280 --> 38:49.840 control. Once they've gotten inside, now there's a driving factor that takes place and they get 38:49.840 --> 38:55.820 access to the brain and so forth. So page 23, their goal is to affect us in our body, soul, 38:55.920 --> 39:03.980 and spirit. So this lays out pretty self-explanatory. I'm not going to go through each one, 39:04.360 --> 39:10.900 but I give examples of how they will try to go after the body, how they'll try to go after 39:10.900 --> 39:17.640 the soul or the brain, the mind will emotions, and how they will go after the spirit eventually 39:17.640 --> 39:26.900 trying to get us to turn away from God. Let us see about halfway through, the more access they 39:26.900 --> 39:31.840 gain, the more tormented the person will be in spirit. The torment can be physical interference, 39:32.280 --> 39:37.900 sickness, disease, handicaps. The torment can be in the thought life or emotions. They 39:37.900 --> 39:42.160 have fear, no peace, immoral thoughts and desires, hate, desire to murder, fits of rage, 39:42.540 --> 39:47.740 violent temper, etc. So here are some scriptural examples. We'll just look at these real briefly. 39:48.520 --> 39:52.800 Then they brought him a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute. Jesus healed him so that 39:52.800 --> 39:58.000 he could both talk and see. What do we have? What kind of access did that spirit gain? 39:59.880 --> 40:07.070 Definitely had bodily. Vision, blind and mute, couldn't speak. 40:08.830 --> 40:18.410 Chances are they had the vocal center of the brain. Now, this is something I learned. I don't 40:18.410 --> 40:25.650 have really any scriptural proof for it other than I just ran into it over and over. 40:29.210 --> 40:35.150 The spirit realm on the demonic side is brutal. 40:37.070 --> 40:44.410 I mean, they are just brutal. You've got to remember the only thing they have in the 40:44.410 --> 40:49.830 kingdom of darkness is the fruit of their kingdom. So all they have is hate, anger, 40:50.030 --> 40:56.950 competition, rebellion, murder. That whole realm, that's all that kingdom operates on. 40:57.830 --> 41:03.330 Can you imagine trying to organize that and get it to do something when 41:04.790 --> 41:10.090 everybody hates everybody? They're out to cut out everybody's throat. They'll step on anything 41:10.090 --> 41:14.070 and everything to gain access to this, that, and the other. Now, many people have had visions. 41:14.490 --> 41:19.710 Scripture talks about it. For whatever reason, they don't use shotguns. They don't use 41:22.370 --> 41:27.110 AKs. They don't use rifles, handguns in the spirit realm. 41:29.150 --> 41:31.550 You know what they use. You've read it. What do they use? 41:33.370 --> 41:39.410 Swords, shields, and arrows. That's all they got. They don't have bombs they throw in. 41:40.610 --> 41:45.370 It's just not allowed. That's all I know. They don't have it. 41:47.510 --> 41:52.610 So when they fight, not only do they fight with angels, but they fight with each other. 41:54.350 --> 41:58.310 And they are immortal beings. A spirit is immortal. Can't die. 41:58.890 --> 42:05.570 So they can maim each other to try to force compliance or just out of anger. 42:07.330 --> 42:17.290 Rage. Maim each other spiritually and somehow it sticks with them because there's no healing. 42:17.550 --> 42:25.210 There's no life. There's no... So if they get their arm cut off, it's off. 42:27.850 --> 42:36.130 And it takes the power of God to put it back on right. But they try. And the way I bumped into this 42:36.730 --> 42:43.290 is because I was dealing with a kingdom I couldn't get rid of. It wouldn't go. 42:44.190 --> 42:47.430 No matter what I tried, it wouldn't go. And whenever that has happened, 42:47.790 --> 42:50.750 it may happen again a time or two, where we hit something that I just can't get rid of it. 42:51.210 --> 42:56.250 That means God's trying to teach me something. Because if you take authority over and bind them 42:56.250 --> 42:59.670 together as the Holy Spirit sees nos and numbers and cut everything off, they have to go. 43:00.510 --> 43:05.270 When they don't, it's not them. It's God saying, I need to teach you something here. 43:05.570 --> 43:09.890 So I had this one situation where there was a kingdom in this person just mocking me and just 43:10.410 --> 43:15.810 we will never let go. And we, you know, and I couldn't get them to go. 43:16.510 --> 43:18.890 I said, Holy Spirit, you got to show me what's going on here. 43:18.890 --> 43:23.590 And he gave me a little vision. And I saw the creepiest thing. 43:24.630 --> 43:34.970 I saw maimed demons who were literally walking around, eyes missing, arms missing, 43:35.370 --> 43:38.050 that kind of thing. But the creepiest part was 43:39.930 --> 43:43.850 they had legs or arms that had been removed, things like that. 43:43.850 --> 43:52.310 And you could tell a different kind of bigger, smaller, different kind of leg was on there. 43:53.790 --> 43:58.190 And it wasn't working really well. So they drug it, but it was like a peg. 44:00.130 --> 44:05.730 There was one that was cut in half and it had like an animal body on the bottom 44:05.730 --> 44:10.170 and on the top half was more what you'd consider, you know, demon is kind of creepy and 44:10.170 --> 44:19.170 ugly and but it was connected. And I said, what does this have to do with anything? 44:22.260 --> 44:32.420 And this is the information I got. He said, what you are seeing is infirmity, a kingdom of infirmity. 44:34.980 --> 44:43.640 That's why it won't respond to you because it's a kingdom of its own. 44:44.940 --> 44:52.460 And he also said, when they get access to a body, like for instance, the woman who 44:53.060 --> 44:59.320 could not stand up straight, that Jesus touched and healed and she cast the spirit out and she 44:59.320 --> 45:05.540 stood up straight. And he addressed it as a spirit of infirmity. Remember that? We could look it up, 45:05.580 --> 45:10.260 but you can do that at home too. He addressed it as a spirit of infirmity, cast it out and then 45:10.260 --> 45:13.760 she was able to stand up straight. She was hunched over and walked like this. 45:15.420 --> 45:20.320 Well, I had seen some of that in that vision. He said, when a spirit like that gets in the 45:20.320 --> 45:26.720 person and gets control, whatever the spirit is fighting with or has been mutilated, you know, 45:26.720 --> 45:34.320 that realm, the body will conform to it because the human body is designed to conform to our spirit. 45:35.940 --> 45:39.380 Our spirit is not designed to conform to the human body. 45:41.200 --> 45:47.160 Everything of the issues of life flow out of our spirit and everything else supposed to 45:47.160 --> 45:56.500 conform to it. So when you get a deaf and mute spirit or person who it's demonic, 45:56.900 --> 46:00.400 you deaf and mute person, the problem is demonic. Like he said here, 46:02.220 --> 46:09.880 the spirit itself is likely deaf and mute or blind and mute or whatever the issue is. 46:10.240 --> 46:16.220 And because they have access and are running the body, the body has adapted to that spirit. 46:18.020 --> 46:22.140 Lost its sight, lost its ability to speak, like this one, blind and mute. 46:23.660 --> 46:30.120 When you cast the spirit out, that doesn't necessarily mean the body's going to 46:30.120 --> 46:33.480 instantly come back online. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. 46:34.420 --> 46:37.740 This is important when we get talking, won't happen tonight, but when we get talking 46:37.740 --> 46:41.560 about demons and mental illness, what do we do with that? 46:43.820 --> 46:48.600 Here, notice how he says it. They brought him a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute 46:49.580 --> 46:57.220 and Jesus healed him. He didn't just cast it out. He healed him 46:58.140 --> 47:05.880 so that he could both talk and see. So this man's body had adapted to that broken spirit 47:05.880 --> 47:12.180 and took on those characteristics. So here you've got definitely physical. 47:13.140 --> 47:17.520 Go to page 24. Here the demon was attacking the physical body, gained some physical access, 47:17.680 --> 47:23.000 so mark chapter 5. They went across the lake and here you've got the legion story. 47:24.020 --> 47:29.540 And a man lived in the tombs. Verse 4, he'd often been chained hand and foot. He tore 47:29.540 --> 47:33.220 the chains apart and broke the iron's office feet, so they definitely had physical access. 47:34.640 --> 47:38.900 No one was strong enough to subdue him. Verse 5, night and day in the tombs and in the hills, 47:39.000 --> 47:43.660 he would cry out and cut himself with stones, so they had brain access because they were running 47:43.660 --> 47:49.220 his body. When he saw Jesus from a distance, he went to him, fell down and talked to him, 47:49.300 --> 47:58.480 recognized who Jesus was, etc. So here you have, obviously the physical body's been accessed 47:59.150 --> 48:02.820 because I run the letter A there, it gives all the characteristics. 48:03.600 --> 48:08.880 So we have physical body access, but we also have soul and brain realm access 48:09.640 --> 48:15.200 because he's working through the body. So now put this into today's vernacular. 48:16.060 --> 48:20.380 This man, once Jesus dealt with him, he was sitting there and it specifically 48:20.380 --> 48:27.140 said he was in his right mind. That's because the demon had mind control. 48:28.500 --> 48:32.280 And was controlling his mind and through the mind controlling his body. 48:34.820 --> 48:38.640 So let's just make a blanket statement here that I think is true in every case. 48:39.380 --> 48:43.880 Once a demon can speak through someone, reason with you, move their arms and hands, 48:45.000 --> 48:50.980 whatever, they have mind control over the person. It's not just a fluke that, 48:51.260 --> 48:55.860 oh, they're speaking out of the person. No, that person is under mind control of 48:55.860 --> 49:03.600 that demon. They are under heavy influence of that demon. That's why it has the ability to speak 49:03.600 --> 49:09.560 to you through the person. They're under mind control. Now that demon may never come up in 49:09.560 --> 49:16.080 the person's life as far as they know, but because it has so much access, it will move 49:16.080 --> 49:20.580 them through life and give them desires and cause them to say things and do things. 49:20.700 --> 49:23.820 And they think it's all them. It's actually not. It's a spirit. 49:26.240 --> 49:32.840 Again, you've got an example there. You have the kid Mark chapter 9. The kid is 49:32.840 --> 49:35.900 when it seizes him, it throws him to the ground. He foams at the mouth, 49:36.120 --> 49:41.040 gnashes at the teeth, becomes rigid. Again, you've got physical access, 49:41.320 --> 49:45.760 but you've also got mind control. Somehow it gets between the kid and his own brain 49:45.760 --> 49:51.500 and he loses control of his body. So I give those examples. 49:52.280 --> 49:58.440 Now Luke page 25, Luke 13 verse 10 through 13 where you had this on a sabbath Jesus was 49:58.440 --> 50:02.880 teaching and a woman was there who had been crippled by a spirit for 18 years. Here we go. 50:03.020 --> 50:06.540 She was bent over and could not straighten up at all. When Jesus saw her, he called her 50:06.540 --> 50:11.640 forward and said to her, woman, you are set free from your infirmity, spirit of infirmity. 50:12.320 --> 50:16.040 Then he put his hands on her and immediately she straightened up and praised God. 50:16.400 --> 50:20.680 Here the woman's physical problem was not caused by something physically being 50:20.680 --> 50:25.300 broken in her body. It was being caused by a demon. She had a spirit of infirmity. 50:26.140 --> 50:34.640 It was affecting her. Now in her case, there's no indication it had any mind control. It had 50:34.640 --> 50:45.080 any access to her brain. It was just crippling her. From had been crippled by a spirit for 18 50:45.080 --> 50:55.750 years, she couldn't straighten up. Have you ever seen people walk like this? 50:57.810 --> 51:00.790 That could be physical. It could be a demon. 51:03.170 --> 51:07.550 She couldn't straighten up. You say, why couldn't she? Because it had enough control 51:07.550 --> 51:12.070 of her physical body. What it was, her body conformed to. 51:13.990 --> 51:19.050 And if you to pull that spirit out and set it beside her when she straightened up, that spirit would 51:19.050 --> 51:25.370 have been hunched over. Because it was infirmed, so to speak, spirit of infirmity. 51:27.090 --> 51:31.750 So I give different examples there. You can work through. Think about, is it outside? 51:32.030 --> 51:37.870 Is it inside? Is it got just physical access? Is it affecting the person emotionally? 51:39.210 --> 51:44.030 Go to one there in page 26. I want to show you this. This is an emotional effect here. 51:44.330 --> 51:49.250 It's mind control again, but it's different. Verse 42, John chapter 8. 51:49.610 --> 51:53.390 Jesus said to them, if God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and now 51:53.390 --> 51:58.130 I'm here. I have not come in my own, but he sent me. Why is my language not clear to you? 51:58.170 --> 52:02.970 Because you are unable to hear what I say. Oh, we have mind control. 52:04.930 --> 52:12.990 It's not letting the person hear truth. It goes back to what Jesus said in, when the word goes out, 52:13.130 --> 52:17.670 and it's like seeds scattered the side of the road. It's stolen away before it can ever take root. 52:18.050 --> 52:24.630 Okay? Verse 44. You belong to your Father, the devil. And you want to carry out his, 52:25.230 --> 52:37.010 your Father's desires. Huh? That's an emotional thing. They're desiring what their Father, 52:37.670 --> 52:44.650 the devil desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, 52:44.730 --> 52:47.610 for there's no truth in him. When he lies, he's speaking his own native language, 52:47.710 --> 52:52.110 for he's a liar and the father of lies. Yet because I tell you the truth, you do not 52:52.110 --> 52:58.590 believe me. Well, number one, they couldn't hear him because the demons blocked them. 52:59.930 --> 53:02.490 Now, who's he speaking to here? Anybody remember? 53:05.410 --> 53:09.430 These are the religious people. These are scribes, Pharisees, Sadducees, that we could 53:09.430 --> 53:12.850 back up and find out exactly who. But if somebody in that bunch, maybe all of them. 53:14.870 --> 53:24.270 So, now, here's an interesting thing. Have you ever tried to show someone the truth about anything 53:24.270 --> 53:31.330 in Scripture who they're already saved? They've gone to church for 35 years, but you can't 53:31.870 --> 53:40.190 get it across to them to save your life. They can't see it. They just, it does not go in. 53:43.750 --> 53:49.350 That's a spirit. Of course, you bring that up to them, they'll probably throw you out of their house 53:49.350 --> 53:56.750 or wherever you're at. But you need to recognize, that is what we would call a religious spirit. 53:57.830 --> 54:01.450 And they know what they believe and they know they're right. And so one of them, I'll just say his name, 01:05:37.440 --> 01:05:48.400 of he had, there was a Jehovah's Witness who was coming to him, trying to prove to him 01:05:48.400 --> 01:05:56.780 that Jesus was not God. Because at that, there was a point in time, back in the 60s and 70s, 01:05:56.780 --> 01:06:01.900 they did not believe Jesus was Messiah. He was not the Son of God. They've switched that since, 01:06:01.900 --> 01:06:08.900 but back then they didn't believe it. So this was back in that realm. And he came two, three times 01:06:08.900 --> 01:06:13.380 because the guy was genuinely concerned that this church was teaching false doctrine and they 01:06:13.380 --> 01:06:19.460 believed that Jesus was God. And he couldn't, the teacher, at that point, he was a pastor 01:06:19.460 --> 01:06:23.920 when this happened, but at that point, he couldn't get through to him. And he said, 01:06:23.940 --> 01:06:31.880 what do I do? And the Holy Spirit kind of notes him. He said, this is a spirit. He 01:06:32.360 --> 01:06:37.980 found out. So he talked to him about salvation and believing in God for the forgiveness of your sins, 01:06:38.120 --> 01:06:43.840 this, that, and that. Oh yeah, I believe all that. But Jesus is not God.
