Thank you, Father, for loving us enough to give your son. Thank you, Father, for wanting us to succeed and be victorious enough you gave us your spirit. And we are here tonight in gratefulness and thankfulness, asking that, Lord, you're the master of the church, you just do with this night what you want done, the way you want to just do your will. Holy Spirit, lead us into it. In Jesus' name, amen. Amen. Well, welcome to the last class. Here we go. We got a lot of stuff that we won't get covered, but we're going to try to cover as much of it as we can. I want to thank you, because this has been a, you know, I didn't expect it to go this long. And I want to thank you for sticking with it. You know, we had a core group of people here and we have a core group of people online who have just stuck with this all the way through. In fact, some of the comments I'm getting is, can't we just keep it going for a while longer? And it's like, well, my plan is in the fall, Mary's going to do a healing school and she's going to break it up. She'll start in the fall. She's going to break it up into like six or eight week segments. And that'll probably go through most of the winter. Well, some place in there, I'm planning on plugging in like six weeks on demonology. This has been more about deliverance and getting free, staying free, but it really hasn't been an in-depth study on demons and what they do and how they act, etc. That can be helpful to this because it can help us recognize them. So at some point, I don't know how to go in the fall or early next year, January or something, we'll come back and we will try to, from scripture, give the absolute best description of demons that we can, which may help us recognize some things. It will be a couple of months before I finish the book with all the handouts and stuff we've been doing here in this lack section. Last section, I will let you know when it's done. We have a number of topics to cover tonight. So you might have to hold your questions, write them down. And I will be giving you a handout if you don't have something, take notes on or whatever, you could write them on that. But write them down because we're not going to take the time throughout to answer them. We'll shove all the questions here and anything that comes in from online. We've had a lot of questions come in from online for tonight. So that's going to absorb a chunk of time. But anything that comes in now, and you can still text them to me, 7-6-3-7-4-2-5-4-7-4. And since you're running to get your paper, I'll give you a second, I'll repeat it. And you can text them in if you want to. And we're going to cover what we can and get what we can do. Now there's a number of topics I know we won't get covered. So what we're going to do there is I will just list them to you. So that if you say, well, I wish he'd covered this topic yet. Well, I want those to come in because I can put them in the book. But if I already listed it, then you don't have to tell me or if you have a specific angle on it you won't covered. All right, are you ready with your pen? 7-6-3-7-4-2-5-4-7-4. If you get a question during the evening, since this is the last class, go ahead and text it in right away. And we'll see if we get to it at the end. I will stay as late as these people are willing to stay. We might be done by 9. I don't know how long they're willing to stay. So we'll see how this goes. There's one thing I feel like I need to say, and this is for the feeling I get is this is for someone or a few people might be online, might be people who watch this in the future. I don't know, but I feel like I need to talk to someone about this and clarify some things. I've had many experiences over the years. Most of them I can't share. And I can't give the stories on them for a couple of reasons. One is a lot of times people just misunderstand. And then it gets a little bit goofy. And the second one is they can cause fear. So if you haven't beat your fear yet, and I share some of these stories, it's just going to ramp it up and that won't help you. But the thing I want to say is this. Don't be afraid of odd happenings. When you're doing deliverance stuff, odd stuff will happen. And you're going to experience some of this. And it can cause many questions in you. So because many times we shrink back from something that we've never seen or heard, or I've never seen anything or heard anything like this before, we'll shrink back from it. Don't do that. Because you're going to be cutting the person short that you're trying to help. So the next mistake we make is we talk to people about it, which is not wrong, but you're going to talk to people about it who've never done deliverance. And they're going to throw you straight in the ditch. Because they're going to give you advice out of no experience or knowledge whatsoever. And that is going to go haywire on you because if it's odd to you, it's going to really be odd to them unless they've been through that kind of thing before. If they haven't been through it and experienced similar kind of situations, all they're going to do is undermine the validity of what you experienced, what happened, which will throw you into unbelief and doubt. And then the greatest example I can give of that is the story I gave when that first person we got involved with that first person and we couldn't get the demon out and then my senior pastor called the district and asked for help. All they did was undermine what we were trying to do. There is no demon in this person. This person's saved. They cannot have a demon. They're a Christian. Christians can't have demons. They have psychological problems. You need to just back away from this. This is going to go bad for you. Time we were done listening to their input, of which, to my knowledge, nobody at the district office had ever cast out a demon. Or somebody would have had a little better advice than that one. That's just like about the bottom as you can go on advice. And all it did was cause us by the time we came out of that, we were just sitting there, our heads were spinning in unbelief of like, well, maybe we are all messed up. So watch out for that because odd happenings will take place. See if you can find someone who has had some experience in deliverance. Talk to them. Don't just grab somebody because it, you know, even the people you think should know better don't always know better. The Bible, let me just give a reality check here. The Bible is a book written by the Holy Spirit about the experiences of men and women. What we consider doctrine was somebody else's experience with God. You know, Abraham was called out of the Ur of Caldees. He was called into a land that God said, I will give to you in your descendants. If you bless them, whoever blesses them will be blessed. Whoever curses them will be cursed. We have a doctrine on that. Do not curse Israel. And then we go into the promised land and now God makes a covenant with Abraham. And he's the father of faith and we are his children by faith. And we have a huge realm of the New Testament and doctrine that is based on Abraham's experience with what God did in his life. Sometimes we look at doctrine and it's like, well, this is just solid because it's in the Word of God. We'll back up two steps and you're going to find out this was somebody's experience. They had an interaction with God and it was an interaction that the Holy Spirit wanted us, that God wanted us to remember so it was written down and it's in the Bible. And we can learn from it, we can grow from it. But it was somebody's experience. You're going to have experiences experiences. That's okay. Now they all need to align with the Word. We're not going to come up with the new Bible now. They all need to align with the Word. But everything that God does in our life has to become experientially relevant. Not just a belief. We can believe ourselves straight to hell. The demons believe and tremble. But they're not very well off for their belief. It has to be experientially relevant to us. So realize God has given us all the information in the scripture we need for life and godliness and we're going to have to dig to make some of the things understandable, some of our happenings, odd events that happen to see where they're at in the scripture. But always to stay on track to not get off in the ditch and end up in deception. You must align your experiences with the Word. You must. If they're contrary to the Word it wasn't God. If you don't hold yourself to that you're going to end up in the ditch really hard. But realize something in this. Again, the hidden and secret things of scripture are not easily seen. You will need to look for some things diligently. And just be honest and don't take scripture and twist it to try to fit your situation because you'll end up in deception and air there too. If it's in there it'll be obvious to you when he shows it to you. But for instance, I'll just give you an example of that. We've talked about this so I'm using examples that we've talked about so I don't take much time on. When I had that situation where that demon supposedly got saved that was an experience. That was an odd happening. There's only one way to find out if that's God or not. It has to be in the Word. I had never seen anything in the Word concerning that. Read it through multiple, multiple, multiple times. Never seen anything in the Word concerning that. I didn't think it was possible. Till it happened then now what do I do with this? But you know what? Once we went to the Word and really started searching it is so obvious it's like how could we miss this? I mean in Colossians too it flat out says it that salvation goes beyond mankind. God's grace is big enough to cover the spirit realm. Jesus' sacrifice was big enough to cover the spirit realm. Not just human race. Everybody. I'd never seen that before. Never in my life had I seen that. So you're going to have odd happenings. You're going to have to go to the Word to find out if you're in the ditch or you're still on the road. But when you go to the Word don't twist it. But if you're on the road you will find something in there that flat out shows you yes this is God or no this is not God. So I'll just and these will all be in the booklet but some principles to follow to keep yourself on track when experiencing some of these new weird things. Number one love God with all your heart soul mind and strength. If anything happens to start causing your love for God to wane back up and they will demons will go after it. People will go after it. It's just Christians can be odd. I don't know why they do it but I have theories but if in the process you find yourself loving God less not more back up. Like that first 18 to 24 month experience I had. I came out of that with a number of things that were beyond anything I had ever experienced. Number one my love for God increased a hundred fold. My ability to hear the voice of the spirit went from 1 to 15 on a scale of 10. My dedication to be obedient and sacrifice no matter what became paramount. There was no this thing of this principle came out of that. Many times Christians think we have the right to choose to sin or not to sin. Well, because some Christians do it, you know I have friends that do it and they're fine you can't say they're not going to have it. So if they're going fine I mean don't judge who are you to judge me I can go do this too if I want. Show me in Scripture any place where sin is ever an option ever an option. But we live in the American church where it is an option. We have young people growing up in the church saved, baptized in the Holy Spirit and they live with their prospective partner a year or two or three years before they ever marry them. Now can I just be blunt? What the heck are you doing? Oh don't judge me I'm under grace. During that first 18 to 24 months that principle was ground into me. Sin is never an option don't make an excuse for sin. It is never an option. Well that's forgiveness later. What makes you think he's going to forgive you? I have a message on that that I'm about ready to deliver but that's a different thought. Okay, so number one love God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength. Number two learn to hear the Holy Spirit. Remember he is our greatest teacher and counselor, not man. Stay off your phone and get talking to God. Get talking to the Holy Spirit. Your greatest counselor is the Holy Spirit not a person. Now if you can find someone who's experienced and this can help mentor you, that's good but listen to the Holy Spirit first. Number three be sensitive to follow the Holy Spirit. He educates us and gives us knowledge as we continue to move. If we lock up and say I'm not doing this any further then everything shuts down right there. You've got to be sensitive to follow him. Number four be quick to repent. Good news, you will make mistakes. Good news it's already bought and paid for. Put it under the blood and move on. If you think you're going to go into a deliverance kind of setting and never make a mistake you're pretty arrogant. Because it's a whole realm we know so little about but yet we know how to do it. I could ask you 15 questions off the top of my head about deliverance and getting people free that none of you would have an answer for but yet we know how to do deliverance. So be quick to repent you will make mistakes and then following that. Number five take a humble posture don't take the know it all attitude take a humble posture with God and with people even when you have to take a stand against people try to do it humbly not arrogantly like I know what I'm doing who are you to question me? Don't do that take a humble stance be humble with God be humble with man and the last point number six I believe it is realize the foundation of this whole thing is built upon this realize admit and live from the perspective I don't know very much period period there realize admit own it And live from the perspective, I don't know very much, especially when it comes to deliverance and demons. It is a world, a realm that is far greater than this physical realm, and we really know a speck of it. We don't know how it operates. We don't know how it's organized. We really don't know very much. It is purely by God's grace that He's given us the name of Jesus and said, Here, just use this. It'll take care of it. You don't need to know it all because we really don't know very much. And the sooner we own that, because if... let me say it this way, principle, here's the road, walkie in it. The word is a lamp to my feet. We're trying to stay on the road. You got a ditch on each side. So when it comes to deliverance, the devil's going to try to drag you into the ditch of, I'm not capable. I don't know what I'm doing. I can't do this. What if something bad happens? All that stuff can try to drag you over here to stop you from doing any deliverance. If he can't get you into that ditch, he will try to push you into the opposite one. Which is, I know exactly what I'm doing. I've cast out three demons and everybody should come to me because I know what I'm doing from total inadequacy to pride. If he can get you in either ditch, he's got you. Because all you have to do is start thinking and believing, I know it. And all of a sudden they'll quit obeying you. Why? Because you're in sin. So just realize, we really don't know very much. And I know it's hard on the ego, but it's good. It's supposed to die anyway. So we've had numerous questions come in. So I'm going to run questions till about eight o'clock. Then we're going to go to the handout because we've got to deal with unresolved anger. And then I'll come back and finish the questions after the unresolved anger handout and then we'll open up for anything new. So first question that came in, most of these came in online. Is there any, or I should say from viewers online, is there anything that could have prevented your initial 18 to 24 month experience, that first introduction and deliverance? Well, I'm going to answer it this way. Hopefully it makes sense. Maybe for some things, and yes for some things. So in other words, maybe something could have prevented some of that. And some things, yeah, some of that could have been prevented. Some biblical working knowledge of deliverance would have been so helpful. I grew up in a full gospel church. I'd never heard one even sermon, much less a class on deliverance. I never heard one. I went through Bible college four years, got my bachelor's. Probably should have went for my master's, might have helped me. I don't know, got my bachelor's. Not one class was about deliverance. So I knew nothing. So some biblical working knowledge of deliverance would have helped. Number two, an on-site mentor. Somebody who I could pick up the phone and they were a half an hour, an hour away, who had actually done deliverance and could hear the voice of the spirit, would have made the difference from day and night. Day and night would have made the difference. The only person I had lived north side of Minneapolis. That was depending upon traffic back then five to six hours. You know, you can thank God he was there. You know, you can get some stuff covered by phone. But somebody who can say, I will be there in an hour. Hang on. Oh, that would have made the difference between night and day right there. But there was nobody. Because if I'd had somebody come and I'd have said, I am going to sit to the side now and let you do this. What that would have done for me is given me some experiential faith. There's a difference between doctrinal faith and experiential faith. Doctrinal faith is when the Lord takes the reema and he reveals to us what we should believe and we need to get solid on it. This is what I believe. Experiential faith is when you take what you believe and you make it work. That's a whole different world. We believe God paid for all of our healing. But are we living in complete full health? See, it's all faith. But one is doctrinal and the other is experiential. I would have loved to see somebody do it. Now, we came over to Minneapolis a couple of times. Because, I mean, we just hit a wall. We couldn't get anywhere. So we came over and got some help. It was good. I learned a lot. But it wasn't enough. So that would have made a big difference. So, yes, there are some things that could have helped. And now let's look at the maybes. I was thrown into a very difficult situation in that early years period of time. Most of which I can't share. I can't go there for the reasons I already gave. Even with the few things I do know now, if I was put back in that same situation, it would be really tough. And may take some time to get the person free. Because of the situation I was in. So, would have it helped? Well, some things, yes. Some things, maybe. Because this was a very difficult situation with a number of people. One person. I'll give you an example. I can share this. One person, as we were... You know, it's like you... I used the hornet's nest before. Let me do this. If you have a beehive in the ground and you need to get to the queen, you know the hives there. When you peel off the first layer of dirt and you see the hive, things get nasty. Because they don't want you going in any deeper. One particular individual. We peeled off the dirt, saw the hive, and we were working at cleaning out the hive. You know, it goes layer by layer. Trying to get into the depth of it. Again, I didn't know enough about strong men and that kind of stuff. I just didn't know. But while we were working that process, there was a... a few week period of time I had to be with the person 24 hours a day. They couldn't... they couldn't leave the church or they couldn't leave the parsonage because... I'll give you an example. You're driving down the road. You drive past the bar. You drive past the nightclub. Anything that is kind of a concentration of sin, anything. All of a sudden, demons came up in this person. And we did everything we knew how to stop that. Pray it over them. Took authority before we left. Listening to Christian music, quoting scripture, and pretty soon, they're cussing. And I'm going to kill this person and they're... trying to throw him out the door. That was the first experience. Trying to throw him out the door. We're going down the road 55 miles an hour. Trying to throw him out the door. And I'm hanging on to them so they can't get out the door and trying to pull over to the side of the road. Get stopped so I can deal with this. A mentor would have helped, but in that situation, what do you do? You just got pushed through it. And there was numerous different things like that that took place. And who do you go for to help on that? I ask questions and it's like, well, you got to get it under control. Well, I don't know how to get it under control. Well, you're going to have to get it under control. Right now, it's kind of running you in circles. Well, I know that. And you just have to grow through that. It's the way it is. And those are odd situations. Odd happenings. You're walking in, let's use, was it Walmart, but you're walking in a grocery store because you have to go get groceries. This person can't leave your side. So you're walking through a grocery store and it's you and your spouse and this person. And all of a sudden, right in the aisle, they just pass out. Boom! They're just out like... laying in the aisle. Okay, the first thing they want to do is call 911. That's the last thing you need to do right there. Our hospitals are not safe spiritual ground. There's a lot of witches and warlocks who work at hospitals. A lot of them. Can't do that. Well, what are we going to do? Well, so you're down there trying not to embarrass the person, trying not to draw too much attention, trying to get the... because the demons playing games with you. Trying to find a way to get the person away from you so they can kill him. And in fact, in this one particular situation, before some of this stuff happened, there were... and again, this might seem freaky to you, is what it is. An angel came to me and said, under no circumstances, let this person go to the hospital. You have to take this by face. If they end up in the hospital, they will be dead. There's people already waiting for them. Who will kill them? So, okay, hospital's not an option. So you got to take it by face. So you're down there in Walmart in the Isle. It wasn't Walmart, but we'll use that example. Trying to command this demon to go down without drawing too much attention so the person can wake back up and go, oh, I must have fainted. Okay, let's get you back up and let's finish walking through the store. See, now they couldn't leave my side because if they left my side, they'd have went to the grocery store wherever. It would have fainted, 911 would have been called. Bingo, we're in the hospital. And if, and I'll always put if there, if what the angel said was accurate, they're dead. That's on me because I was told, don't let that happen. So you're going to have weird stuff happen. Some of it, yeah, could have been prevented if I'd have known more, had more help. Others, it's just like you got to power your way through it. It didn't take long. I wandered out of the situation. As you can imagine, it's like, how in the world did I get roped into this? This can't go on. And over and over and over, the only thing the Holy Spirit would say is the Father is asking you to do this. That's all I get. There's got to be somebody I can ship. There's people who know deliverance. We can find somebody. The Father is asking you to do this. What do you do? Do your best to obey. And as a result, huge miracles. I mean, when you're in those situations, God will never let you drown if you're honestly trying to tread water. You think you're drowning, but God won't let you drown. I mean, huge miracles. I saw miracles during that period of time that I've never seen since. And I don't know how a bunch of stuff happened other than God was having mercy on me and giving grace to them and helping them getting set free. There was one person. Their friend called me. They and their friend were together. And they came to the top of a flight of stairs. And the person... I don't remember exactly how it played out. Something about the person said, don't push me. Stop pushing me. And with that, phew! Pushed right over the edge of the flight of stairs. Boom, boom, boom. It was like 20-some steps. The old hard wood ones. Boom, boom, boom. Got to the bottom. Broke collarbone. So they called me. And then a demon was up. So then the friend, that's before we had these. The friend ran to a phone. Called me. Here's where we're at. Can you come help us? There's a demon up. Blah, blah, blah, blah. And I think she broke a bone and etc. So I run... Get over there. As quick as I can. And they're sitting at the bottom of the steps. And yeah, this demon is just... arrogant as all can be. See what I did? You're God. He's supposed to protect you. Well, your God didn't protect this. Look what I did. Just arrogant, you know. And you can't let questions get started in your own head. Because if they get started, you're going to lose your faith. So I cast the demon out. Well, here I'm sitting with someone who's got a broke collarbone. It wasn't through the skin, but it was protruding, you know, out, pushing the skin out. I mean, it was obvious. We have a broken collarbone. You know. Make matters worse, this was a minor. So I said, God, this is a bad situation. And I just laid my hand on the collarbone. I said, God, in Jesus' name, I'm asking, heal us. I heard it crack. Just... And I lifted my hand. Totally gone. All the pain was gone. Everything was gone. And I'm going, wow. Never seen that before. So there was all kinds of stuff like that. But I didn't understand, you know, why would they get allowed to throw them down the steps? You get a thousand questions around this stuff. And you start asking the wrong people, you're going to get all the wrong answers. You just have to keep pushing forward and get what you can get from God. So there was that first question. This one kind of goes with it. Looking back at what you now know, what happened with you that started you in deliverance. So looking back to that beginning period of my life, could you have done anything different to prevent it from happening the way it did? Yes, absolutely. Do what the denominational leaders told me to do. Commit the person to a psychiatric hospital and walk away. That would have prevented it all. I wouldn't have had a hassle whatsoever. Do nothing. Don't get involved. But when the Holy Spirit deep down in your heart is saying the Father has asked you to do this, how do you walk away from that? I wanted to. I haven't had the name, the number of a psychiatric hospital in Illinois or Ohio that specialized in Christian demonic stuff, quote unquote. I was that close. So looking back, could have I done something to prevent it? Yeah, not do it. Other than that, there's nothing you can do to prevent it. You just got to do it. Just go through it. Number three. Have you looked back and seen you've done things wrong in deliverance? If yes, what approach do you take on, you know, you look back, you've seen things you've done wrong. If you've seen things you've done wrong, what approach do you take on it now? Yes. I can look back and see hundreds of times I've done things wrong. I mean, it's just there's not a book on it. You learn as you go. Every situation is different. Can you look back in your Christian life living for God and see things you've done wrong? And we've got a book on it. And we still mess up. So yeah, what approach do you take on it? You cannot get under condemnation and carry it or it will shut you down. You repent, you learn and grow, and you just keep going. You cannot get under condom. Well, I should never do this because I made some mistakes and this isn't working well. And now the person got hurt and now they're angry at me. That will take you right out. You repent, ask their forgiveness, try to learn from it and grow, and you just keep doing what God asked you to do. This is an interesting question. Number four. Since you've been pastoring in Minnesota, is there a demon that you've confronted here that you've never seen anywhere else? Isn't that an odd question? It's like, huh, that's an interesting question. You know what the interesting part is? The answer is yes, there's one that I've never experienced, I didn't experience when I lived in North Dakota, I didn't experience when I lived in Wisconsin, never experienced in Colorado. But I've experienced it here numerous times. And I'm going to give it a funny name. It's not the real name. But I'm going to give it a funny name to start with, because it'll maybe help you recognize it. It's the smiling in the face of horrific situations. Demon. It's the best way I can describe it. My husband was coming home from work today and a guy ran into him, could have killed him. See, something about that smile and that situation are not the same. You know the other night, I got so sick I had to go to the hospital, they said I could have died. And they just look at you and smile. And it's like, you know, your head goes, what's wrong with you? That isn't anything to smile about. Why are you smiling? But, it's hiding behind a smile when there's nothing to smile about. It's a demon of deception. And that's how it manifests. It's very secretive and it hides things. And they're giving you a piece of the story but they're not giving you the whole story. I'll give you an example. There's a difference between saying what's true and saying the truth. There's a huge difference. I was driving home and I don't know what happened. I just seemed like I lost control and I was in the ditch and ruined my car. Pastor, is the church help financially? I got to have a new car and I didn't have full coverage on it so what do we do? That story could absolutely be true. But now let me give you the details of the truth. I was driving home it was raining heavily. I should have slowed down but I was in a hurry. So I was driving fast and a deer jumped out and I swerved to miss it, lost control and wrecked my car. Well see the first version is true but it's really not the truth. Here's the truth. Pastor, I got so sick I ended up in the hospital I could have died. Okay, now tell me what's really going on. What did you have? What did they diagnose? And what are you doing in your life that God has already said stop doing that but you're still doing it and it was a contributing factor to this. Give me the truth. That demon won't give you the truth unless you really push on it. It hides behind the smile. Isn't it great? I could have died. Isn't it great? My husband could have died. No, it's not great. We need to get to bottom of this. This isn't the blessing of God. This is a curse in action. Somehow you're under the wrong flow. Quit smiling about it. You're hiding something. It's a demon of deception. They might try to be private or whatever but there's a demon there. I'm going to call it a demon of deception. I have never seen that one until we moved here. And I've seen it numerous times here. It's kind of a pattern so I won't say any more than that but I've seen it numerous people here carry that demon. I don't know what that's about but it is what it is. Number five. What is the worst demon you've ever faced? Hands down religious demons. It's not demons of adultery. It's not demons of alcohol. It's not demons of suicide. It's not demons of murder. Hands down it's religious demons. The reason for it is you can't get a handle on them. You can't grab them because the person's beliefs, the person's teaching act as a blocker from you being able to grab it. And when the demon's up and you're talking to it and you go, this is a religious demon that's tied in with this and you make it go down and bring the person back and say, here is what we're dealing with. We've got to renounce some stuff. They will argue with you why this can't be a demon or can't be right, can't be the real reason because they know what they believe. They've got their doctrines. You can't do anything with it because it will just laugh at you. They want me here. Well, yeah, with their erroneous belief system, doctrines, they do. So that's the worst. It's a Pharisee scribes kind of thing. You just... Jesus didn't cast any demons out of the Pharisees of the scribes. You ever notice that? Not one. Because they didn't have any. According to them. They didn't have any. So why would they need deliverance? And even if he would have tried, he would have gotten nowhere because submit yourself to God resists the devil and he will flee. Religious demons have people so convinced they're right they will not renounce and submit. They just won't go there. See, you don't make any progress with them. Number six. What do you do with a Christian who you suspect or know has demons but they don't recognize it? They don't know. Well, you pray. Because you can't talk them into it. Especially if they're Christians because chances are you're going to hit smack dab against the religious spirit and that's going to be a wall to you. Pray they realize it. It comes to them. The Holy Spirit is able to convince them to show them and they come to the realization something's wrong here. I need some help. Or pray and or pray that the Holy Spirit just brings it up. He'll do that. Gets in the anointing and all of a sudden this person's manifesting. And as somebody you would have never guessed then they would have never guessed many times. But they're manifesting. And that's not to embarrass anybody. That's the mercy of God. Bringing something up that needs to be dealt with that is unrecognized. So it's not a bad thing. It's a good thing. But that's about the only thing you can do is pray that God convinces them personally or that God brings it up. Number seven. Do you always get everyone free of demons when you're trying to cast them out? No. Don't. I haven't gotten everybody free. The reason for that is the person you're praying for has more to do with this than the person who's praying. If one of you has some kind of demons that you want out and we're praying for you remember the reason it's there is tied into sin somehow. I had one person tell me this. Generational spirit. Got a generational spirit. We got to renounce and cut off all generational stuff. My parents never had a sin problem. If anybody was holy it was mom and dad. So you're not going to renounce anything. There's nothing to renounce in my family line. Well, you're done. You're done right there. You can't go anywhere. You'll never get them free until they lose their loyalty to mom and dad and get real. And you know once people are gone it's worse than when they're here. As long as they're still here you can see their imperfections living out in front of you. Once they're gone some people tend to idolize their parents. And they did nothing wrong ever. And that was the case. So we could pray our eyes out. That demon will never leave. Because they have to do James 4-7. And right now they're hanging onto it out of their own pride. Or if somebody's not willing to come clean of some kind of sin or whatever. Remember James 4-7 worked beautifully. But James 4-7 is built on the submission of the heart. It's not a silver bullet. That you can just go around shooting people with and boom they're free. This is a hard issue. Submit yourself to God. That's a hard issue. Resist the devil or the things of that kingdom. You're going to need to stop which is you something simple. Yelling at your wife. You got to stop the walking around the house raging. Breaking things. Punching things. Kicking the dog. You're going to have to grow. I don't see where it's a problem. She's the dumb one. That demon will never leave. Because they're not resisting it. They're embracing it. They like it for whatever reason. So it's James 4-7 is not a silver bullet. But it does work beautifully if the person is working in agreement with you. So the person has more to do with their deliverance than you do. In reality. Keep that in mind. Because there's times you don't get things out of people and you feel like the biggest failure that ever walked the face of the earth. Remember. They have more to do with this than you do. It's their body. It's their temple. It's their life. You're just coming alongside to try to deal with something with them. So just keep that in mind. What is the weirdest or most shocking things and they had to put an S on it. Not thing. Things. You've had happen in deliverance. To me. And this is purely subjective. To me the most weird things I've had happen are the poltergeist manifestations. Poltergeist is the word used to express when the spirit realm manifests in the physical realm somehow. And God does this. That's why they can do it. God does this. The Holy Spirit. His angels and so forth. Things from the spirit realm will manifest in our realm. We pray for it on a daily basis, hopefully. On a weekly basis and church, hopefully. You know, if you're praying for healing you're praying for something in the spirit realm to manifest in the physical realm. So this should be a very common thing that can take place. Another example is supernatural transportation. Being here and the next moment you're there. Like happened with Philip. He was transported back to where he needed to go after he dealt with the Ethiopian eunuch. Supernatural transportation. Well God does that not only with people, God does that with things. I'll give you one example. We were working on this building. This was in 2012. We were working on this building and that was a hectic year. That was a hard year. And there was something really important that I needed. I was at home and I believe it was morning and I was coming over and there was something really important that I needed that was laying on the countertop. Because I laid it there because you're not going to forget this. You need this today. I'm almost all the way over here. Oh man. I forgot it. It's still laying on the countertop. I never brought it with. I thought, well, whatever. Maybe somebody else is coming. I'll get a hold of Mary, see if she can bring it. Whatever. I come in here. I go into that mechanical room and it's laying in there. And I know for a fact it was laying on my countertop at home. And there it is. And I'm going Yeah, that was you. That was you. You just helping me out here a little bit. Supernatural transportation. Well, God's kingdom can do it. So guess what? If that's the spiritual law, then the kingdom of darkness is going to try to imitate that and play with that also. And you will get manifestations of stuff that can get weird. Stuff floating floating through the house, floating around the room. You're praying deliverance on somebody. You had your Bible right here on the end table and now you need a scripture and you reach for it and it's gone. Where to go? You find it in a bathtub or some strange place. Those things just get weird. I've shared a few other things with you on that like the person being drugged down the hallway and stuff like that. Just weird stuff. It's typically tied to generational sins of the father's familiar spirit stuff. That's why they have more ability or more power to operate. It typically goes back a few generations and that's where they're gaining their strength. And another thing I found is really good to bind a strong man. It really helps in these kind of situations when you're dealing with that person. Because this is all distractions. This is all to scare you. I had shared so they wanted the things I'll give you three of the weirdest things that has happened to me. I shared the story of the knife that was thrown at me that bounced and I shared that, remember that early on I shared that. I won't share that again. Did I share the one where a person was stabbed with a knife? In the stomach. That was really weird too. And again, God just did an awesome miracle just to out of mercy on me and grace for them. It was the same person that they were trying to throw out of the car, that same person. So they're with me 24-7. So as my memory says we were in the living room. I was sitting in the couch. They were sitting on the chair. I had to go to the bathroom. So I went to the bathroom came back. They're still sitting on the chair. I think they were watching TV or something. And I'm on the couch. Went back from the same spot and all of a sudden I saw this demon come up. You can just see it. And this demon comes up and got this big grin. Now I'm going to kill her and I will win. Reach down underneath the cushion of the chair and pulled out this butcher knife. How did it get there? I'm guessing when I went to the bathroom the person, it came up and the person blocked him out, went to the kitchen, got the butcher knife, came back, hit it. So it could make its big spiel. How great and wonderful I am as a demon because I'm going to accomplish this. That was weird. Weirder yet was watching them get stabbed and then totally healed. Did I tell you about the first experience? I had this also involve the knife. First experience I had when this was really early on. When someone came to the house for help actually it was the apartment at that point. Came to the apartment for help and they went to the kitchen drawer and grabbed the knife. Did I share that one with you? Don't remember that one? Couple of nodding yes. Most of you are nodding no. So let me quickly share that one. So they come to the apartment, they sit down my wife and I are there and we are talking to this person and all of a sudden the demon comes up and starts just harassing us. So I go, you have no power or authority over us. Well I'm going to kill you and kill both of you. No. It doesn't work that way and on and on and on. And finally it got ticked off or whatever so the person jumps up runs into the kitchen grabs a butcher knife. Biggest thing they can find in the drawer comes back now I'm going to cut you up. Well that took me off guard. I'm early on in this and it's like, should this be happening right? I don't think this should be happening. So I, you know, start taking authority over it, commanding it to drop the knife nothing. Just nothing. So I thought, well if it's coming at me, I had a not this kind of Bible, I had still the pages Bible. So I grabbed my Bible. I thought, well I'm going to I'm going to stand here looking cool and calm but if it comes at me I'm going to try to protect myself from the knife and let it stab the Bible. Okay. So I'm trying to think ahead a little bit here. Well I noticed as I was holding the Bible if I moved it at all it couldn't keep its eyes off of it. If I just moved the Bible like this it would look and that happened two, three times and the Holy Spirit was faithful. He said, use that. So I switched hands and as I switched hands it's just like it couldn't keep its eyes off the Bible. It hated the Bible. It was just cussing and cursing the book. Why are you holding the book? It's a worthless book. Jesus is dead. He never rose from the and you're just cursing the Bible. So I switched hands and it's like it was just glued, watching me, watching the Bible. So I took the Bible and I held it out like this and it's just riveted on it and I dropped it. Boom! As it hits the floor they're just fully looking like this. I grabbed the arm. Got the arm in the air. But in this case, the demon was exhibiting some strength through the person and I couldn't get the knife away. It wasn't all that strong, but strong enough I couldn't get the knife away. So I told my spouse, get the head pastor over here. I need help. I'll never forget the look in his face. There I'm standing, probably five minutes, holding his hand in the air with a knife in it and there's demons in this person right here just cussing me out, you know. He walks in. The shocked look in his face was like how did you get into this mess? What was the look on his face? But we went on and got it reconciled and got it dealt with. you will have bizarre things happen. Hopefully none of you have a knife experience. I'm just, I'm good if I never have another one in my life. But you will have bizarre things happen that are poltergeist things. Doors banging. Middle of the night the doorbell. Ding ding ding ding ding ding ding. You go the screen door standing wide open. That's odd. Two in the morning, whatever it was. You go flip the light on, look out the window. There's nobody out there and the screen door standing open. Ding ding ding ding ding ding. You open the door, screen door standing open and they go doorbell ding. Then somebody is holding the button. Ding ding ding ding ding ding ding. Well, by this point we were far enough into it. We knew what that was. So you just take authority over it. Get out of here. You know, dealt with it. Screen door closes. Doorbell quits ringing. Close the door. Go back to bed. After a while you kind of get used to it. Because all they are trying to do is instill fear. And if you talk to anybody who has no experience in this about what's happening they will help instill fear because they're going to be afraid themselves. And their advice is going to be you better get out of that situation. And they'll go all these fear scenarios of how this could really go bad. Be careful who you talk to. But yeah, all kinds of poltergeist stuff. That's the weirdest to me. They're cussing at you. They're telling you all kinds of stuff. Whatever. But when manifestations start happening that can get weird. Number nine. So I'm not quite halfway through the questions yet. We're coming up on eight. I have 21 questions I think. Number nine. If you could give one piece of advice to somebody or someone going into deliverance ministry what would it be? I can't give just one piece of advice. I guess. James four seven would be the closest I could get to. Here's one thing you must know. It'd be that. But I'll give you a couple of thoughts. I've got a few written down here. Number one. If you're going to do deliverance you cannot play spiritual games in your own personal life. To your knowledge you personally have to be a hundred percent submitted to God or these things are going to turn your deliverance sessions into a circus. The first thing they will do is act like they're leaving but they don't because you don't have the authority to kick them out because you're in sin yourself. And that's the first game they'll play. And then from there just kind of spirals down. So number one you can't play games in your own spiritual personal life. You've got to be a hundred percent submitted to God. Number two be ready to give up a lot of things other Christians are doing in their ignorance. Do you know how I could shut down my ability to cast out a demon? I've never tried it but it's something I just know all I'd have to do. Start celebrating Halloween. It would be over. I would never cast another demon until I repented of that and came back to the stance God told me to take. And you can't believe the grief we've been given, not by unbelievers. You know the thing that's crazy is unbelievers don't really care. Oh, you don't celebrate Halloween? That's cool. We do. Whatever. They go on. Christians turn it into this huge theological debate right away. It's like, well what is it of your business? Who cares? Well somehow it's their business because they're Christians and they're going to prove to you it's okay. I can't celebrate this. This is a me and God thing. You can go do whatever you want. When you get to heaven we're going to find out you were wrong. But for now I can't convince you because you got a religious spirit and you're going to defend it to your death. So why should I waste my breath trying to convince you? Heart issues, heart attitudes you got to keep your heart clean. A lot of Christians walk around with their chip on their shoulder towards people. They live that way. You cannot be a deliverance person and do that. You've got to learn to forgive, move on, forget about it. If you carry a chip it will shut it down. It just it just works that way. Addictions You know the first thing we reach for is alcohol and drugs. There's a lot of addictions besides alcohol and drugs. If you are addicted you're going to struggle to do deliverance because addiction Romans 6, 7 and 8 we just looked at a couple weeks ago is you personally are under the power of something. That will really hamper your ability to help someone else who's under the power of something. And if you're in a kind of a deliverance where demons never come up and talk to you, you can probably get by with it. People don't get free, but you can get by with it. If you get yourself in a position where demons come up and start telling you why you can't do this the first thing they will point out to you is your addiction. You are a hypocrite. Had that told to me you are a hypocrite, you Christian hypocrites. I said I'm not a hypocrite. You have no authority over me. We have control over you. You do not. Here it came. Well then stop doing this. They pointed out my addiction. You said what do you mean for an addiction? Some people are addicted to exercise. They have to exercise on a daily basis. Or they lose their peace. They lose their self-worth. Anything that controls you that you can't stop and be at peace and be fine is an addiction. Chocolate cake can be an addiction. You know Christians we have our white sins and we have our black sins. And when we talk about addictions we all turn and look at the black sins. Oh yeah those people. They really need to stop that while we're struggling to go a half a day to start a day without coffee. And then we even make it to me it's like wow that's close to blasphemy. I've walked into some churches where they make little sayings trying to make coffee scriptural. I was in one in South Dakota you know we're on vacation going to church and they got a nice coffee bar. I spent a few bucks on that nice coffee bar. Right above it it said holy grounds. And it's like okay you're feeding people's addictions and you're calling it holy. So when I say addictions it can be anything. Anything that is controlling you you're not in control of it. And I know the famous line is why you can stop anytime I want to. Well then do it. Knock it off for a year just let her go. Well I don't know if I want to. There you go. Because you're addicted. You have to be ready to give some things up the average Christian will live with because they don't have the insight the revelation you do and God's going to require things of you to operate in this. Healing ministry is the same thing. Any focused ministry I just read something about Catherine Coleman just last couple weeks. And I don't know if she made the statement or somebody who was near her made the statement but they were talking about the awesome miracles that were happening in her ministry or happened in her ministry and then at the end they said and it cost her everything. It cost her everything for those to keep happening. And everything is everything. But we were planning to go on a vacation. God says no. You don't go on that vacation. How can it be a sin to go on vacation? Because God said no. Vacation is not a sin. But when God says no, it becomes one if you disobey. You have to die to everything. Just the way it works. Piece of advice to someone going into Deliverance ministry. Focus on growth in faith and hearing God's voice. Make those too in extreme focus to grow in faith and hear God's voice. Another point, deal with your own fear as quickly as you can. Deal with your own fear and anything else God will bring to your attention. And he will bring things to your attention. You have to deal with them as quickly as possible or they get in the way. And here's my last point. Well, I'll make this one my second to last. Now there's some good resources out there that can help you including Deliverance Ministries. Back when I got into this thing 42 years ago 43 almost the only book on demons I could get ahold of was Pigs in the Parlor. It's the only one I could find. There was nothing out there. And the next... Well, there's people who deal with people with demons they're in psychiatric hospitals. That was the next up. There wasn't... I mean stop and think back to 1980, 81. How many deliverance ministries did you know of? Now there were people doing deliverance. That's been since Jesus. But I'm talking a place you could go to to get resources and help. I couldn't find any. So now it's a whole lot better. And since they're there use some good resources. Abail yourself of them. So here's the last point I've got. If you're going to step into any kind of specialized ministry specifically Deliverance Ministry realize you are becoming a target. You just have painted a huge target on you and your family. This isn't glamorous. This isn't exciting to begin with. It's looked at that way. But after you're in it, it is not glamorous or exciting. There's a price you're going to pay to do this. And the once you start shooting at and killing some of the enemy they will shoot back. Surprise, surprise. And if they can't beat you face on they'll sniper you out. They'll do whatever they can. And you and your family will come under attack. My children have faced things they would have never faced had I not gotten into Deliverance Ministry. It's just the way it is. People with demons mostly Christians will criticize you turn others against you, undermine you judge you, lie about you. The whole thing kind of just falls under the banner of persecution. But it's not the unsaved who do it. It's the Christians who do it. You've got a target on your back and the demons in them will turn on you. And I've had numerous people that I know have demons tell me you know there's some days I just hate you. Everything that wells up inside of me is is I just hate you. I wish you'd die and go away. But I realize it's wrong so I ask God to help me with that. And I'm going yeah it's wrong but this goes a little deeper than wrong. We have a problem here. But if I told them you know what the core of that is? You've got demons. Some of, most people get very incensed. I do not. Yeah. Well the average person doesn't think that way. You know it's people will hate you who have no reason to hate you. Because you're on enemy ground and they've got demons. So that's number 10. We'll get to number 10 when we come back. Now we're going to do hand out. We got to get through this tonight. Guys can I have you help me with this? Let's see. I better not. Can you write it down or remember it? Please. Because if I get sidetracked I know how this goes. It's like a ball of yarn and you start pulling it. It's just going to keep coming. And I can't get sidetracked or we're not going to get through some things we have to get through. This piece right here we have to get through. It says revisiting the two main ways demons gain access to humans. You should have this available to you online under messages. Go there. You should have this in a PDF format if you want to look at it that way. Otherwise you can follow it on the screen for now and get it later. We've already talked about this but I want to look at it from another perspective. Paul talks about it again in Ephesians 4, 27. We're told not to give place or give a foothold or leave room for the devil. And we'll see that in the three translations down here. We've already seen how this is done by getting involved with sin. You can give place to demons by getting involved in sin. I mean we've talked about that over and over and over. Sin is the core. Sin is the legal right. So that's one way. So I'm not going to go back into that. I want to go into the second way Paul brings up. He adds a new piece of information here in Ephesians 4. And this was one of those experiential things that happened that I had to go to the scripture and find is this even true? This comes out of that night early on when there was a group of us and we were asking what gives you the right to be here and the only way they could describe it is there is an empty space or they called it a live hole in the person's temple. And that's what gives them the right. And they couldn't figure out why it was there or they were refusing to say why it was there. But there was a hole and when there's a hole we move in because we want a body. So here is the scripture on that. Ephesians 4, out of the amplified, when angry do not sin do not ever let your wrath or your exasperation, your fury, your indignation last until the sun goes down. Now the way we approach that is and again trying to just give some rules and guidelines if the sun is setting when you're having a knock down drag out fight with somebody and you're angry you know. If you can solve that before the sun goes down, more power to you but a lot of times we can't. So we at that point I come from the perspective you've got 24 hours to resolve this. If it started at 2 in the afternoon and you were done by 3 in the afternoon, if it's winter you've got about an hour and a half 4.30 the sun sets. If it's summer you've got a little bit more time to work your way through this. It sets a little later. So my whole point is if you're going to get in a good fight do it after the sun set so it gives you more time to work. I'm just messing with you. But it comes out of the way this is worded. Don't stay angry until the sun goes down. Well, 24 hours max you've got to deal with this. Leave no such room. Well in the amplified such room is referring back to your anger that's not resolved. That becomes room or foot hold for the devil. Don't give him that opportunity. So unresolved anger is a possible foot hold for the devil. Now in the NIV it says this way. In your anger do not sin. Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry and do not give the devil a foot hold. So the way it's worded there it's like well anger could give the devil a foot hold but then and do not give the devil a foot hold. Well there could be other things that give the devil a foot hold which we know. King James is kind of the same thing. Neither give place to the devil. So don't let the sun go down you got to resolve your anger. Neither give place to the devil. Again it could be your anger that's giving place to the devil or it could be something else that's giving place to the devil but just don't give place to the devil. So we've talked about the first one a lot. We're going to talk about this one here tonight. Most of the translations bear out the same thought. We are able to give the devil access to and place in our lives there in verse 27. And the one way we do it is verse 26, unresolved anger. Page number two. We've looked at the first principle that deals with us being able to give the devil or the kingdom of darkness access to our life. It's personal sin or generational sin. And we've also looked at how agreement can open up to the demonic realm and the transference of spirits. Those are the three basic areas where we're involved and we can deal with this. But here now Paul is adding one more, unresolved anger. So unresolved anger is talking about anger that has been handled incorrectly. There's a right way and a wrong way to handle anger. Remember, anger in itself is not sin. When I was growing up I was taught do not be angry. Stop sinning. That's not scriptural. Scripture says in your anger do not sin. If anger is sin, God is a sinner. Because God gets angry. It's the mishandling of anger that makes it sin. So let's get a running start on this because you'll see it better if we read a number of scriptures. We're going to start at verse 14. Then we will no longer be infants tossed back and forth by the waves and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men and their deceitful scheming. Now I didn't look it up, but my memory says he just got done talking about the five-fold anointing and what they're supposed to produce. They're supposed to mature us. So then we will no longer be infants and goes on. Instead, speaking the truth and love. So in verse 14 let me back up. Being moved around by all kinds of different kinds of teaching and men and their cunning, getting a hold of you and etc. Not God. Verse 15. Instead, speaking the truth and love we will in all things grow up into him who is the head. That is Christ. So now let me make a comment to you that was made to me just in the last couple of weeks. Someone said, if we as Christians would be honest with what we see in other Christians' lives I think we could help them a lot. Yeah, and you'd have no friends. Because in the American culture I don't tell you what I see as a weakness in you. Right? When's the last time you talked to someone and said you know there's an area in you that needs some help can we talk about it? Are you open to that? And that turned out good. But the answer to a lot of things is having the kind of people that you actually can speak the truth to in love. It causes growth and maturity, verse 15. Number 16, from him the whole body joined and held together by every supporting lingamate grows and builds itself up in love. Every piece, every part does its work and we all grow and mature. And that is in the context of speaking the truth in love. I've heard this phrase used many times. You don't have the kind of relationship with me to speak that into my life. Could you show me a scripture on that? There's certain truth I can't say to you unless I have a relationship with you. Is there any scripture on that? I have never found any. But it's almost like a cardinal rule we live by in the church in America. How dare they? They don't even know me. And they said this, see what you just said is you don't have the kind of relationship with me to say the truth to me. Well, sometimes the people who are viewing you from afar can see more clearly than the people who are close to you. Well. So, verse 17. So I tell you this and assist on it in the Lord that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do in the futility of their thinking. Okay, so our thinking has to change. We can't be tossed around by every doctrine and cunningness and craftiness of men. Okay, that must be a Gentile thing. That has been drug in the church. I'll give you one example. There are numerous ministers that I could ask you what is their spiritual gifts? What is their spiritual gifting? Of the nine gifts of the spirit. Of the gifts in Romans 12. What is their spirit? Not their call. Their call is Ephesians 4. What is their gifting? Do they give tongues interpretation? Do they give prophecy? Do they work in words of knowledge? Do they have discerning of spirit? Do they work miracles? What is their gifting? You wouldn't believe how many Christians go to churches where they don't know what their pastor's gifting is. I just like him or her. I just like them. They're such nice people. What's their gifting? What do they operate in spiritually? I don't know. I've never really seen them do much, but I like them. You must no longer live as the Gentiles do in the futility of their thinking. I just like the Kardashians. Why? I don't know. I just like them. I just like President Biden. Why? Are you looking at his track record at all? I don't know. That makes much difference. I don't know. I just kind of like the guy. That's Gentile thinking. And the world thrives on popularity. And if you can offer a group of people something, that really means nothing. But you get enough of them to like it, you become popular. Gentile thinking. They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts. They are not seeing this through their heart, the spiritual perspective. They are seeing this through their mind. Christians aren't supposed to view life through our mind. We are supposed to view it through our heart and what the Holy Spirit is showing us. Verse 19, Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity with a continual lust for more. I gave you an example earlier. Young people raise in the church, move in with somebody, live with them for 2, 3, 4 years before they get married. Why would they do that? It just told us they have lost all sensitivity to what? Their heart. They are thinking like the Gentiles think through a darkened mind. And as a result, they give themselves over to sensuality. Verse 20, You, however, did not come to know Christ that way. So we are supposed to be different. Surely you heard of Him and were taught in Him in accordance with the truth that is in Jesus. You were taught with regard to your former way of life that was before you got saved. You were taught to put off your old self which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires. So if we are living in a realm of something that Scripture calls sin like the unsaved live, we are wrong. We are supposed to have put that off. That is in the former life. You are a new creation in Christ now. Get rid of that junk and be made new in the attitude of your minds to put on the new self created to be like God and true righteousness and holiness and we know that is a sanctification process. It doesn't happen overnight. It takes a lifetime. But we are supposed to be headed towards it. Now we are to the two verses and it starts with this word. Therefore we had to know what that word is there for. So we needed to get a running start because it plays into what he is about to say. Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to his neighbor for we are all members of one body. That goes back to what he was saying back here in verse 15. Speak the truth in love. We are all part of the same body. Verse 16, we build the body up. It builds itself up as each part does its work and then he listed a bunch of things we shouldn't be involved in. So now listen to this real close. Therefore because of all these things we shouldn't be involved in that we should have put off when we became a Christian or at least be working on it. Each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to his neighbor. Do you think living with my boyfriend is wrong? No, that's fine. You're under grace. It won't make any difference. Put off falsehood and speak truthfully. Verse 15, speak the truth in love. For we are all members of one body. What they do if they come to this church will affect the corporate group. So we have to be truthful with each other and quit lying to each other. Then he makes the statement. Now this is funny to me. In your anger do not sin. Who do you think got angry right there? Just stop thinking about it. Let's run a scenario. Let's use the one we just had so enough to make up a new one. Somebody's living with their boyfriend. And we don't do anything without the leading of the spirit. You got to hear from God first because he knows the timing. He knows everything that's best. But at some point you just bring it up and say, I'd love to talk to you about the relationship you're in at some point because I don't know what to do with it. So you get together with them over coffee and by the time you're done they know you think they're in sin for living with their boyfriend before they're married. Of the two of you, who do you think is going to get angry? In your anger, don't sin. You're going to take some people off. But their response as being a Christian is don't sin. Do not let the son go down while you're still angry because if you do, you're going to give the devil a foothold. That's almost funny. It's like if you put it in context he's talking about speaking truthfully with each other trying to build the body up trying to build them up trying to be for everybody's benefit of course under the leadership of the Holy Spirit using some empathy, using some wisdom we're trying to help everybody but somebody doesn't want to hear the truth and they get angry. So there is the principle now that can apply to any area in life there's how he's applying it that can apply any area in life you're at work and the boss does something and said you were going to get a raise and then you don't get a raise so you go home angry saying principle applies in your anger do not sin do not give the devil a foothold so we can skip that under C because we just talked about it jump over to page number four There is a number of things that happen when anger is not handled correctly. It destroys intimacy, optimism, trust, hope. The thing I want you to pick up, there is number three. When we go to sleep with anger, it opens the door to the devil. Verse 22b is, he's a deceiver. Let me go back and see that. We're being corrupted by the old self deceitful desires. So we know he's going to work in deception with us. Verse 27 uses the word devil. That word in the Greek is Diablos. The definitions of that are false accuser, slanderer, and traducer. That's the definitions to Diablos. You're giving place to Diablos. When we don't handle anger correctly, the thoughts that begin running through our minds about the person or situation are not from God. So let's say you're angry with somebody and you've been sitting on this for a few days, few weeks, few years. I can guarantee you you have demons. Because you've given place to Diablos by not handling your anger correctly. You had 24 hours to process through this. That doesn't mean you have to settle it with them. That sometimes can take weeks and months. But you personally have to process through this. Forgive them. Come to a place where God, I turned that over to you. I'm going to go on. And however you want to handle it, that's fine. If you want me to get involved and work with this, that's fine. I'll do the best I can. But I am not going to carry anger towards that person. You have 24 hours to deal with that. Or you will pick up a demon. Specifically Diablos is the one mentioned here. The deceiver. So what would the deceiver do if you have unresolved anger for a week? He's going to deceive you because he moved into your temple, and I'll show you that here in a second. He moved into your temple to deceive you. He's going to give you all kinds of thoughts. Number five. He's going to lie to you about that person and that family and those people and that church. He's going to have all kinds of accusations run through your mind about them. Things that slander the person's character and reputation. He'll begin going around and around. These things begin going around and around in our thinking. This is Diablos at work to deceive us by falsely accusing and slandering the person we're angry with. Anytime we sit on unresolved anger, just be honest with yourself now. Anytime you sit on unresolved anger, you get negative feelings and thoughts towards the one you're angry with. That's Diablos. He's deceiving you into thinking and feeling about them, believing things about them that are absolutely untrue. But boy, they're true to you because they're brewing in that ground of anger. The result is we begin to become a traducer. There's the third word in the definition, which means we start shaming and blaming the person for the things we're angry about. So now you know that you know you've got a demon problem when not only are you thinking and feeling badly about them, now you start blaming them for what happened. It's their fault this took place. If they wouldn't have, I wouldn't be angry. Oh man, you just beacon on your forehead. I got a demon. I got a demon. He's deceiving me. He's just openly speaking to you. He's caused us to believe the lies, okay? So when anger isn't handled correctly, we literally create a place for Diablos or demons to live in our physical body or our temple. So we can do it through giving a place to them, through our own sin or generational sin, or we can do it through unresolved anger. I call it live-holes because that goes back to that deliverance session. That's what they called it and that's a fond memory to me. So that's what I call it, live-hole. The Greek definition for the word place. Now remember what the Spirit said and in this one they were actually being accurate. They said there's a place in the person's temple that is like a hole we can move into and we can live there. And then whatever they are, of course, that's going to start affecting you. Now look at the definition of the word place. Do not give place to the devil. From strong's concordance it says a spot or a space that is limited by occupancy. Wow, you could stop right there and that just described it. Hey, location, must be a location. Cross that off, we'll fix that for the book. A location as a position, home or tract. So at some place they come in and take up residence. It's a condition the person is in or an opportunity. The place is a condition of the person. It will give an opportunity to a demon. From Therese lexicon it says this. A place or any portion of space marked off as it... as it work off double check, that doesn't make sense. From surrounding space. An inhabited place as a city, village or district. Remember this is a live hold, this is in the person's temple. A place or a spot when one can settle, abide or dwell. The place which a person or thing occupies or has right to, not ride to. Hate it when my autocorrect does that stuff. The conditioner station held by one in any company or assembly. Opportunity power, occasion for acting. So literally the word place is describing a spot in the person that is open for occupancy to the demonic realm. A live hold. We can do that two ways. Personal, willful sin, generational, I'll just put those together. And not resolving our anger correctly. Then it goes through some things that I don't think we have to go over. I think they're pretty much self-explanatory. It goes back to the scripture and reference it. We must to get free of Diabolos. We have to see our anger. We have to own it. We have to admit it. We have to change some things to get free of him. And it gives the things in that section of scripture. What we have to deal with. Page six, just so we're on the same page with anger. Our definition for anger is anger comes from wanting something to stop, but it doesn't. I got that definition probably 35 years ago. Because I couldn't figure out what anger was. Because all the things that described it and defined it didn't make sense to me. Well, then why can God do that and I can't? And you know, on and on and on. So I went and I studied every scriptural reference where God was angry, where it says God was angry. And I started seeing a pattern, especially in the Old Testament. God became angry with the children of Israel when he wanted something to stop and they wouldn't stop it. Then he'd get angry. So there is my layman's definition of anger. Something needs to stop. It's that flare inside of us that says this needs to stop. And it's not stopping. We get angry. And anger comes from unmet expectations, which is kind of the other side of the same coin. One coin side of the coin is something needs to stop. The other side of the coin is... Okay, honey. When I went to work this morning, the kitchen floor was clean. Now there's soup all over it and it's even dried on in spots. Oh yeah, that happened right after you left. And I got busy on the phone and then I had to go out shopping. I never got around to cleaning it up. That would make me angry. Do you know why? I wanted to stop, obviously. But my expectation would be this house cost us hundreds of thousands of dollars. And we're going to treat it like this. We're going to ruin it. I get angry. I want this to stop. Okay, there's an example. Anger is the type of enemy that in yourself, you got to hunt and flush them out. It likes to hide. It talks about getting rid of Diablos and God becoming angry. And there's just information there that's good information. We're just not going to take the time to go through it. On page 8, I'll just mention this. Why is unresolved anger so deadly? Because it's tied to unforgiveness. When we're carrying anger, we have not forgiven. We haven't let it go. And we're angry about it. You have to set the person free. Release the person from this. And we haven't let it go. So unresolved anger takes us... it works hand in glove with unforgiveness. So you can read the rest of that. It'll be fine. The last page you read from the top to the bottom, that's the progression of that chart. It's resolving anger and relationships. Outline here is an outline of things that have to be dealt with to resolve unresolved anger. And it works its way down to the dashed line.
