And they thrive on that. They love that. Prophets, if you ask them, 44:55.250 --> 45:00.270 what does this world need? What does the church need? They need to hear a word from the Lord. And 45:00.270 --> 45:08.810 they usually say it that way. We need to hear from God. See, that's totally different than the 45:08.810 --> 45:14.490 apostle. The apostle says, we got to get organized. We're just like a bunch of chickens at sunset 45:14.490 --> 45:20.290 trying to find our way in the chicken coop. We're just running around trying to see where 45:20.290 --> 45:25.450 we're going. And the apostles say, come here. Let's organize this and make it look like we're not a 45:25.450 --> 45:31.910 bunch of ding-dongs. The prophet will say, and once you get them organized, I got a message from 45:31.910 --> 45:38.250 God for them. Let me tell them what the word of the Lord is. Was the prophet wrong? That's what makes them tick. That's what's in their heart. And that's what they 46:17.370 --> 46:22.350 always want to do. Whether it's a missionary, a missionary is an evangelist. A missionary can also 46:22.350 --> 46:30.470 be an apostle. Apostle literally means sent to establish. Well, some missionaries go some places 46:30.470 --> 46:35.750 and just minister there and do what God's asked them to do. And then that's it. Some missionaries 46:35.750 --> 46:41.590 go places and this huge thing gets established. Or, doesn't have to be huge, this thing gets 46:41.590 --> 46:49.470 established. Let's just say it that way. Evangelization, those people's heart is to share the 46:49.470 --> 46:57.970 gospel with anybody and everybody, which really grinds on the last one, the teacher. 47:00.490 --> 47:07.750 The teacher's motivation is if we can show them the right way, if we can show them the word, 47:09.070 --> 47:12.010 their whole life will change, which is absolutely true. 47:14.490 --> 47:20.810 But you can't take a teacher unless they recognize that's kind of where they're going to go and use 47:20.810 --> 47:26.150 them much for an evangelist because they will try to teach people into getting saved. 47:28.870 --> 47:32.790 Well, let me take you to Corinthians and after a half an hour of flopping back and 47:32.790 --> 47:40.550 forth, the unsaved person's going, because remember, spiritual things are only revealed by the spirit. 47:41.170 --> 47:46.790 They don't even have the spirit in them yet. And the evangelists will look at the teacher and say, 47:46.830 --> 47:53.090 what is wrong with you, man? They're not even saved yet. Give them a basic simple principle 47:53.090 --> 47:59.650 and let's get them saved. Now you can teach them something. So all these work together 47:59.650 --> 48:05.090 and they're all motivations that work together. And when all five are working together, 48:05.830 --> 48:10.970 the five things that the basic purpose for the church is established gets done. 48:11.810 --> 48:18.250 But the sub-purpose of how it gets done is different to every person according to 48:19.260 --> 48:22.830 one of those five-fold. And I'll say this, 48:24.770 --> 48:30.030 as a parent, if you were not operating in all five of them, you had trouble in your home. 48:31.350 --> 48:36.970 Because you have to establish a family and give them a general direction we're going. Now I was brought up to believe that's not possible. What's like, maybe the big emphasis for me is to do it 49:22.550 --> 49:30.150 this way. But if somebody comes along and says, how do I get to know Jesus? Everybody is supposed 49:30.150 --> 49:35.490 to be able to say, here, let me help you. Rather than, I don't know, where's the evangelist 49:35.490 --> 49:40.790 this morning? Let's see if we can find him. They'll lead you to Jesus. Why can't we? See, 49:40.790 --> 49:46.850 so even as a pastor and a apostle, I can do the work of an evangelist. And isn't that what Paul told 49:46.850 --> 49:53.130 Timothy? Timothy wasn't an evangelist. But Paul said, don't mess this up. You have to do the work 49:53.130 --> 49:58.290 of an evangelist from time to time. You can't just pass that off to everybody. If you're called into more of the ministry realm, this is 50:15.670 --> 50:21.610 your sub-purpose, your work in life is to be in ministry. It's how you make your living. Number two sub-purpose letter A there applies to us. 50:29.090 --> 50:34.250 That is the smallest minority of Christians, letter A there. 50:35.950 --> 50:42.610 Very few Christians are called into this is how I live my whole life is to minister. 50:43.450 --> 50:50.290 Most of us are letter B. If you're called more into the business realm, you're a business owner, 50:50.430 --> 50:54.930 you're an entrepreneur, you got a job at Target, you're an hourly wage earner, 50:55.170 --> 50:59.750 you're self-employed, you're white collar, you're blue collar, you wear t-shirts with no 50:59.750 --> 51:05.110 collar, whatever. So if you are a car salesman and your purpose is the same as everybody else's, 52:45.040 --> 52:48.580 we're trying to promote the kingdom of God and righteousness and holiness here in this earth. 52:48.580 --> 52:55.540 Get people saved. Get them to heaven. But your gifting is an evangelist. If you're an electrician, it just flows out of you. You make your living by 53:12.820 --> 53:16.740 doing electrical work. You end up in people's houses. You end up in commercial buildings. 53:16.740 --> 53:25.580 You end up wherever. But if you're an electrician, that's your sub-purpose. This is how God's going 53:25.580 --> 53:30.380 to take you through life and how you're going to approach it. You're still supposed to do the 53:30.380 --> 53:34.820 main purpose. Every Christian's supposed to do. And let's say you're a prophet. Your emphasis 53:34.820 --> 53:42.690 is a prophet. So most of your time is going to be doing electrical stuff. But that's what's 53:42.690 --> 53:48.770 going to open the door on how you will reach into people's lives. And you probably won't be 53:48.770 --> 53:55.530 getting as many saved as the evangelist guy. But there's going to be all kinds of people 53:55.530 --> 54:02.210 that get brought into your path who are confused and just plain discouraged and frustrated and 54:02.210 --> 54:11.210 they need a word from the Lord. And you're going to be talking with them and connect the 54:11.210 --> 54:15.030 red wire there and just that and the other. And while you're doing it, I just don't know, 54:15.150 --> 54:19.490 I don't understand. Sometimes I don't even know why I should be living and blah, blah, blah. If you've 54:19.490 --> 54:23.950 got a prophet emphasis, a word from the Lord is going to drop in your heart. And you're going 54:23.950 --> 54:30.410 to say something like, tell you what? At lunch. Or let's take, if you're the boss. If you're 54:30.410 --> 54:34.390 not the boss, don't do this. But if you're the boss, let's take five, 10 minutes right now. 54:34.490 --> 54:38.070 Come over here, sit down. I got something I want to share with you. And they're on the way to Menards to pick 57:33.170 --> 57:38.390 something up. And now they're discussing this with somebody else. See, the big purpose is why 57:38.390 --> 57:44.750 they're here. The sub-purpose is, this is how you're going to make your living. And mixed 57:44.750 --> 57:50.570 in with that is all the giftings, and this is how it will come out of you. 57:51.810 --> 57:58.130 That make any sense? It's exactly what happens, doesn't it? That sub-purpose is going to look different than how it plays out for some of 58:12.550 --> 58:19.990 the rest of us. Now, if you feel you're supposed to be so deeply involved in this, it's your full-time 58:19.990 --> 58:26.250 job, that's what we usually call the five-fold. Well, they're an evangelist and that's what they 58:26.250 --> 58:30.350 do for a living. Well, that's true. That's their sub-purpose.
