Now, again, you kind of need to understand me because I've been walking with the Lord for a long time, 04:58.450 --> 05:07.250 but I've never had Jesus appear to me. I haven't really, you know, had voices like way out here, 05:07.590 --> 05:10.210 like God speaking, you know, thunder, lightning, things like that. 05:11.110 --> 05:17.010 Now, I believe there was a reason for that because the Lord told me when I was very young in my walk with him 05:17.010 --> 05:22.630 and I was a student at a Bible school and the Lord very, I mean, in a very strong way, 05:22.710 --> 05:28.910 he told me, he says, the primary way that I will lead you in your ministry is by the inward witness. 05:31.970 --> 05:34.730 And so I've just relied on that through the years. 05:35.190 --> 05:39.670 And so a lot of times I say, well, you know, God said, well, now I didn't really hear anything. 05:39.670 --> 05:48.270 But it's so real that, yes, he did say that, that it's people learning how to work with God in that deeper realm of prayer, 08:26.760 --> 08:29.700 but he said it's also going to take the corporate anointing. 08:31.360 --> 08:37.660 Now, if you look at history, because there's been revivals that have taken place, 08:37.920 --> 08:41.760 great revivals in which many people came into the kingdom of God, 08:41.760 --> 08:46.540 great miracles took place, healings, amazing things have happened. 08:47.140 --> 08:51.660 But you can look at all those revivals that have taken place in history, 08:52.100 --> 08:55.040 and you will see those two things working there. 08:56.260 --> 08:57.220 They stand out. 08:58.300 --> 09:05.760 There was great times of prayer leading up to and during the times of those revivals. 09:06.140 --> 09:09.400 And there was great corporate anointing. 09:13.340 --> 09:21.260 Because the corporate anointing is much, much stronger than an individual anointing. 09:22.440 --> 09:28.780 Now, we all can be anointed to do something, and we all have these individual anointings, 09:28.860 --> 09:32.180 but the corporate anointing is much stronger than that. 09:33.140 --> 09:35.400 And that's what's needed in this day and hour. 09:38.220 --> 09:45.080 Now, to be honest, this is where it gets a little, for lack of a better word, 09:45.480 --> 09:49.820 it gets a little tricky with this corporate anointing. 09:50.920 --> 09:58.040 Because there's a lot of factors that come into play if we're going to have the corporate anointing. 09:58.080 --> 10:01.600 Because a lot of times what we do is we think, 10:01.600 --> 10:04.940 okay, corporate anointing, well, we're all going to come together, 10:05.100 --> 10:09.020 and we're going to make sure that we all like one another, so we're not in strife. 10:09.840 --> 10:11.240 And then we're going to worship God. 10:12.280 --> 10:16.020 And we worship, we all come together, we're nice to one another, and we worship God. 10:17.440 --> 10:19.240 And we're going to have the corporate anointing. 10:19.300 --> 10:22.360 Now, there's nothing wrong with being nice to one another, we should be. 10:22.920 --> 10:25.040 And there's nothing wrong with coming together and worshiping. 10:26.160 --> 10:33.020 But that's not all there is to having the kind of corporate anointing that I'm talking about this morning, 10:33.980 --> 10:36.440 where it impacts the world. 10:38.160 --> 10:39.400 There's more to it than that. 10:40.420 --> 10:46.340 And so it does get a little, a little, I guess, again, for lack of a better word, 10:46.500 --> 10:47.420 it kind of gets a little tricky. 10:48.940 --> 10:51.860 But that's the only way that we're going to really have 10:53.060 --> 10:55.980 the genuine move of God 10:56.900 --> 10:58.300 in this day and hour. 11:00.180 --> 11:03.280 And so I want to look at some Old Testament Scriptures 11:05.200 --> 11:08.680 and I want to point out some things to you 11:08.680 --> 11:13.820 and keeping this thought in mind about the corporate anointing. 11:14.740 --> 11:18.760 And so I'm going to go over to Numbers Chapter 20. 11:18.760 --> 11:21.760 And we're going to look at some examples here 11:25.200 --> 11:28.840 because it's going to be through this persistent prayer 11:30.500 --> 11:32.780 and doing what's necessary 11:33.680 --> 11:35.620 so we can have the corporate anointing. 11:37.200 --> 11:39.560 That's what's going to produce this genuine move of God. 11:40.760 --> 11:43.700 Now, we have an example here of the children of Israel 11:43.700 --> 11:48.360 and it's probably one of the most well-known stories in the Bible. 11:49.060 --> 11:51.380 But we have an example here of the children of Israel. 11:51.480 --> 11:54.600 We all know the story how God had spoke to Moses 11:54.600 --> 11:58.240 and he was to lead the people out of that place of bondage in Egypt 11:58.240 --> 12:02.180 and then lead them into what was called the promised land, 12:02.340 --> 12:04.700 that land that flowed with milk and honey and so forth. 12:05.140 --> 12:05.840 The promised land. 12:06.020 --> 12:10.740 Well, we do have to realize, if I can say it this way, 12:11.760 --> 12:15.980 that there is a, you could say, spiritual promised land 12:16.720 --> 12:18.180 that we need to enter into. 12:20.420 --> 12:23.760 Now, in this case, of course, with them it was a natural land 12:23.760 --> 12:26.480 but there is such a thing as a spiritual promised land. 12:26.620 --> 12:28.880 In other words, something that God has promised to us. 12:28.980 --> 12:30.740 You can have this. This is my plan. 12:31.300 --> 12:35.360 This is my will for your life and for your church, your nation 12:35.360 --> 12:36.540 and so forth and so on. 12:36.860 --> 12:40.020 And so it's a promised land. It's something that we can walk into. 12:41.600 --> 12:43.260 Alright? So, let's look at this. 12:43.980 --> 12:46.520 This is in Romans, or excuse me, yeah, Romans. 12:46.980 --> 12:49.600 Numbers 20. Numbers 20 verse 2. 12:49.820 --> 12:51.740 Let's begin there. Numbers 20 verse 2. 12:52.840 --> 12:55.680 It says, now there was no water for the congregation 12:56.280 --> 13:00.260 so they gathered together against Moses and Aaron. 13:01.280 --> 13:04.260 Alright, we're going to point some things out as we go along here. 13:05.060 --> 13:07.500 And I hope you'll still love me when it's all over. 13:10.440 --> 13:18.020 And Moses and Aaron were called, appointed, anointed 13:19.200 --> 13:22.060 to leave the children of Israel into this promised land. 13:24.300 --> 13:26.500 And so we, like I said, we kind of know the story. 13:26.640 --> 13:28.260 We get to this place where now they're out of place 13:28.260 --> 13:29.880 where it says there's no water. 13:31.280 --> 13:34.620 And so the people start to gather. 13:34.620 --> 13:38.040 And here it says together against their leadership. 13:40.760 --> 13:41.360 Huh? 13:43.240 --> 13:44.180 Verse 3. 13:45.820 --> 13:49.600 And the people contended with Moses and spoke saying, 13:50.320 --> 13:53.600 if only we had died when our brethren died before the Lord. 13:54.640 --> 13:57.000 Why have you brought up the assembly of the Lord 13:57.000 --> 14:01.380 into this wilderness that we and our animals should die here? 14:02.120 --> 14:04.600 And why have you made us come up out of Egypt 14:04.600 --> 14:06.800 to bring us to this evil place? 14:07.660 --> 14:08.780 That's kind of interesting. 14:10.140 --> 14:12.500 Why have you brought us to this evil place? 14:14.220 --> 14:15.380 Is it not a place? 14:15.920 --> 14:19.520 It is not a place of grain or figs or vines or pomegranates. 14:19.820 --> 14:22.980 Nor is there any water to drink. 14:24.720 --> 14:24.940 Alright. 14:26.580 --> 14:29.380 God places leaders. 14:30.880 --> 14:32.780 He works through order. 14:37.140 --> 14:43.200 He's still placing leaders today to lead His people. 14:44.600 --> 14:49.380 Now, God had placed Moses and Aaron too 14:49.900 --> 14:51.480 to be in this place of leadership 14:51.480 --> 14:55.240 and they led the people so far in some very miraculous things 14:55.240 --> 14:56.260 that are already taking place 14:56.900 --> 14:59.120 to get to the place where they are right now. 15:00.060 --> 15:02.760 But yet they were not seeing the fulfillment 15:03.500 --> 15:06.320 of everything that they thought they should have. 15:08.540 --> 15:11.480 And so when they didn't see everything immediately, 15:12.300 --> 15:13.480 their response is, 15:13.660 --> 15:16.540 why did you as a leader take us to this evil place? 15:19.000 --> 15:19.280 Yeah. 15:26.350 --> 15:28.050 In other words, it would have been comfortable 15:28.050 --> 15:29.630 just for us to stay where we were. 15:35.590 --> 15:38.490 See, and God could put something in a leader's heart today. Moses and Aaron. 16:20.200 --> 16:20.720 Verse 6. 16:21.680 --> 16:24.540 So Moses and Aaron went from the presence of the assembly 16:24.540 --> 16:26.280 to the door of the tabernacle of meeting 16:26.860 --> 16:28.020 and they fell on their faces. 16:28.940 --> 16:30.720 And so the leaders begin to seek the Lord. 16:31.720 --> 16:32.080 It says, 16:32.160 --> 16:33.640 in the glory of the Lord appeared to them. 16:34.240 --> 16:36.160 Then the Lord spoke to Moses saying, 16:36.360 --> 16:37.060 take the rod. 16:37.740 --> 16:40.960 You and your brother Aaron gather the congregation together. 16:41.220 --> 16:43.940 Speak to the rock before their eyes 16:43.940 --> 16:45.640 and it will yield its water. 16:46.520 --> 16:49.480 Thus you shall bring water for them out of the rock says it's a fearful thing 18:45.640 --> 18:47.400 to fall into the hands of the living God. 18:49.140 --> 18:51.260 There is still this sight of God 18:51.260 --> 18:53.580 that we see under the Old Testament. 18:54.340 --> 18:55.460 He's not changed. 18:56.860 --> 18:58.900 Now thank God for the blood of Jesus 18:58.900 --> 19:00.500 and what Jesus did for us 19:00.500 --> 19:02.360 that we now have this grace, 19:02.460 --> 19:04.100 but God has not changed. 19:12.440 --> 19:14.020 And so He says, 19:14.180 --> 19:17.200 because you did not believe me to hallow me, 19:18.000 --> 19:19.300 He says, then you're not going to bring 19:19.300 --> 19:20.680 this assembly into the land. 19:22.900 --> 19:25.040 So there's two things that He mentions here. 19:25.460 --> 19:26.660 It says, first you didn't believe me. 19:30.370 --> 19:32.370 It's important that leaders, 19:32.610 --> 19:33.930 and we'll see as we go along here, 19:34.070 --> 19:36.330 but it's important that leaders 19:36.330 --> 19:38.130 believe what God has said. 19:41.920 --> 19:43.380 And then second, He says, 19:44.160 --> 19:45.200 you didn't hallow me. 19:46.280 --> 19:47.940 In other words, that where it says 19:47.940 --> 19:49.500 you didn't hallow me, it really means 19:49.500 --> 19:51.500 you didn't treat it as holy. 19:54.400 --> 19:55.700 You did not honor me. 19:55.740 --> 19:57.180 You didn't treat me as sacred 19:57.180 --> 19:59.040 in the eyes of the congregation. 20:05.070 --> 20:06.430 Leaders must 20:08.190 --> 20:10.510 believe the direction of the Lord, 20:12.130 --> 20:14.350 and 20:47.990 well, you know, we're doing our best 20:47.990 --> 20:49.210 to get people saved, 20:49.550 --> 20:51.370 and we want to preach the gospel 20:51.370 --> 20:53.410 and lay hands on the sick and so forth and so forth. 20:53.670 --> 20:55.930 No, what it's about is, what has God said? 20:57.190 --> 21:00.130 And are you as a leader going to treat that as sacred? 21:01.190 --> 21:03.870 So that the people that would follow you 21:03.870 --> 21:07.170 that you're endeavoring to lead that they can actually see 21:07.170 --> 21:10.030 that when you have this direction from God 21:10.030
