WEBVTT 00:00.000 --> 00:02.440 Let's start our Bibles to Proverbs chapter 18. 00:03.560 --> 00:11.820 We have been talking about everything from ruling in the main ground to being able to climb the 00:11.820 --> 00:18.040 Watchman Wall, or being a sentinel, being the sent one that climbs up there and repeats 00:18.040 --> 00:22.560 what the Lord has said, which means we can't just believe that there is a God. 00:22.680 --> 00:28.140 Remember the stages, we believe, and so do the demons, but then we move from belief to 00:28.140 --> 00:33.080 actually starting to follow, which means we're making him Lord, which then we go from follower 00:33.080 --> 00:39.640 to a disciple, which means we're a disciplined one, which then leads us into being a witness, 00:39.820 --> 00:45.480 which is a martyr, and that means to be seen and heard at all costs. And so that's spiritual 00:45.480 --> 00:54.380 growth, that's spiritual awakening, and most of America, I believe, you know, if they believe 00:54.380 --> 01:01.160 there is a God, they just believe that, most of America. And or they follow on certain things, 01:01.320 --> 01:08.200 and that's usually what they know to follow is tradition. So many of us were trained in tradition. 01:09.480 --> 01:14.540 Our family was a little more rogue, so we didn't have a lot of tradition. So when I came into 01:14.540 --> 01:19.460 church, I was like, you're supposed to do what? Why? You know, I mean, and a lot of it, as I 01:19.460 --> 01:23.140 on carpeted, was just tradition. A lot of people didn't know why they did what they did, 01:23.140 --> 01:28.120 because they were just following tradition. And that's what they call it, called following God. 01:29.140 --> 01:38.300 Where Jesus comes in and you watch his ministry, he breaks down traditions, right? You know, 01:38.360 --> 01:42.740 that even the term like, well, traditionally, what we do for this, it's like, I didn't ask God, I 01:42.740 --> 01:46.780 didn't, you know, seek him to see what we're going to do. We're just going to fall back 01:46.780 --> 01:51.260 on tradition. And the traditional thing might be the thing God wants you to do, but you 01:51.260 --> 01:56.920 actually have to hear from him. So to rule in the lower land, for sure, and to operate 01:57.620 --> 02:01.720 in, you know, in the Spirit, we have to be subject to him at all times. 02:02.580 --> 02:06.980 Submit yourself therefore to God, right? Come under the mission of God. Well, if we don't 02:06.980 --> 02:13.240 know what the mission is, then we can't come under. So a lot of people will quote, 02:13.860 --> 02:19.000 resists the devil and he will flee from you after quoting that with the emphasis on, 02:19.000 --> 02:24.040 I'm resisting you. Now you have to leave. Well, okay, cool. But if you're not under 02:24.040 --> 02:29.320 submission to God, he don't have to do nothing. I mean, that's a pretty blunt way to say it. 02:29.620 --> 02:34.720 So we're always checking ourself in the mainland, the becoming a disciple, coming to that point, 02:34.860 --> 02:39.200 a following even, he's going to take us through the narrow way, which is going to hit our 02:39.200 --> 02:43.760 flesh. We've talked about that in every which way. We'll get annoyed at things we, 02:43.760 --> 02:51.860 you know, sad about things, mad about things, because he's testing our flesh. And it isn't like 02:51.860 --> 02:54.900 he's saying, I'm going to ask you to do this. I'm going to watch you squirm. It's like, I'm 02:54.900 --> 02:59.620 just going this way. I'm headed the narrow way. And we're squirming all the way to follow him, 02:59.760 --> 03:05.880 because our flesh does not want to do that. And then we become aware of ourself. 03:06.440 --> 03:12.300 See, part of being in darkness, you know, like the dark ages was without God, 03:13.020 --> 03:19.160 was the fact that you can't see. And so a lot of times people think, you can't see 03:19.160 --> 03:24.820 what? You can't see the enemy? Well, true. You can't see what's after you? Yeah, sometimes. 03:25.320 --> 03:32.720 But you can't see yourself. Being in darkness really means, I can't see myself. I am not 03:32.720 --> 03:38.120 self-aware. I cannot regulate all of this. And for me, that's a lot to regulate. 03:39.560 --> 03:46.240 So if it's out of regulation, it's like, we're in trouble. We're in big trouble. So part of us 03:47.000 --> 03:52.960 ruling in the mainland in order to be able to have the capacity to hold on to and house the 03:52.960 --> 03:59.780 anointing, which takes us up beyond that even, into the things of God that are intense secrets. 04:00.500 --> 04:04.000 Right? They're called secrets for a reason, because not just anybody can handle them. 04:04.940 --> 04:10.640 Really, their secrets can be gossip, you know, in the fleshly way. But if I want to keep a 04:10.640 --> 04:14.100 secret from a small child, it's because they can't handle what I'm going to say. 04:15.540 --> 04:18.780 Right? So I'm waiting for them to get to the point, like now I'll tell you. 04:19.340 --> 04:26.280 But only us adults know this, and it's a secret to them. And so that's that part of 04:26.280 --> 04:32.380 revelation that he wants to give us in the mainland. Now here's the truth of it. In some areas, 04:32.520 --> 04:36.600 where we can be on the watchtower and other areas, we're on the mainland. We haven't grown 04:36.600 --> 04:43.180 through those things yet. It's called ruling and reigning. So there's things in my life. I know 04:43.180 --> 04:48.320 he's brought me into a rulership. There's authority. There's like smackdown power. You 04:48.320 --> 04:51.740 know what I'm saying? It's like, this is what we're going to do. And I'm very aware 04:51.740 --> 04:55.880 of the situation. But I still got areas where it's like, yeah, it's not happening really 04:55.880 --> 05:02.620 well. That's not working out. We all do. And so we're operating in the mainland learning to rule 05:02.620 --> 05:07.020 and reign. As then he trusts us in certain areas, he'll bring us up onto the tower. He'll 05:07.020 --> 05:13.120 cause revelation to happen. Then we have to be able to handle what has been revealed. 05:14.580 --> 05:22.040 And the hard thing about being an intercessor is you see things through discernment. And you're 05:22.040 --> 05:29.500 told things by God. And many times you're just aware of things that hurt. They just hurt. 05:31.520 --> 05:36.920 You know, sometimes I'm aware of people that I'm trying to help. I might have met them for the 05:36.920 --> 05:41.240 first time. And I'm just aware that it's like, wow, the devil's about to eat their lunch. 05:42.180 --> 05:47.480 You can just feel it. And it's grievous. It's like, you know, in the flash, you're like, 05:47.540 --> 05:51.300 I don't need to know that. I don't want to know all that stuff. I got enough stuff on 05:51.300 --> 05:55.960 my own, you know, so it can cause you to pull back. But once you start operating in the things of 05:55.960 --> 06:00.200 the Spirit, you have to be able to house the anointing, which is the power of God that breaks 06:00.200 --> 06:06.840 every yoke of bondage. But you also have to be able to handle the information that's given to you. 06:07.840 --> 06:10.220 So just think about yourself. Can you handle secrets? 06:12.860 --> 06:17.680 The gossipy kind of secrets test your flesh. I'm telling you because you just, 06:17.680 --> 06:23.380 your flesh is going to want to tell everybody if it's gossip. It's like, I just have to say this. 06:23.560 --> 06:28.780 I'm just telling you, don't say anything, right? There's something so satisfying in the flesh 06:28.780 --> 06:36.520 regarding that. But spiritual things, you sit on and you zip the pie hole. I'm not for the 06:36.520 --> 06:41.580 gossipy things, by the way, but what I'm saying is there's something about maturity that says 06:41.580 --> 06:45.500 he's told me this and nobody else really needs to know until he tells me to say it. 06:48.100 --> 06:52.800 I don't need to reveal this. Every dream that I have, every, you know, 06:53.360 --> 06:57.420 pastor revealed every dream that he had. It would be books. 06:59.240 --> 07:06.700 He is definitely a Zephanepinaya. And he likes it. It's fun to him, right? I am 07:06.700 --> 07:12.240 a between sleep and awake. I'm more like open vision person or whatever. And once I see what 07:12.240 --> 07:18.480 I see, then it has hang time. And he's looking for me to follow up on whatever I saw, right? 07:18.540 --> 07:23.780 I have to have the capacity to follow up on that. But the hardest things in intercessory prayer, 07:23.820 --> 07:29.060 like I said, are seeing into like, you know, you have a family member that's going to hell. 07:29.860 --> 07:33.740 And it seems like everyone else around them is just fine. They think they're fine. I mean, 07:33.780 --> 07:40.540 there's a nice person and they seem fine. But you're very well aware, as you pray for them, 07:40.540 --> 07:47.180 that there's something really there that's going to take a breakthrough. And that's hard to handle. 07:47.400 --> 07:52.520 So this is another reason people back off on prayer, because once they see something they don't 07:52.520 --> 07:57.720 want to have to see, then you're carrying those things. You have to figure out, and we'll get 07:57.720 --> 08:02.860 into this in the weeks to come, how to see something that's in depth like that and have 08:02.860 --> 08:09.320 it where you can house it and then give it to God, right? That's your job as an 08:09.320 --> 08:14.400 intercessor. It is, and I'm housing it, and oh my goodness, this is tormenting. Now I found out about 08:14.400 --> 08:18.580 this, and he shared this with me, and you're collecting all this stuff that's so intense, 08:18.580 --> 08:22.820 and you feel like I can't even get out of bed, because, you know, there's way too much stuff. 08:22.940 --> 08:26.560 I'm so burdened that one intercessory prayer is not supposed to work that way. 08:27.060 --> 08:32.820 In fact, the Holy Spirit will pray through you with moans and groans. I mean, you feel like 08:32.820 --> 08:38.660 you're just when it comes on really strong, but you should feel some sense of relief when 08:38.660 --> 08:44.560 that's done. It's just like we said it, we introduced this. But maturity also knows 08:44.560 --> 08:48.760 that everything that can be birthed, that person can choose against. 08:50.500 --> 08:55.800 And that's hard for us to like, oh, we prayed and we did whatever, but they can choose against it. 08:56.180 --> 09:02.860 And there's nothing you can do about it. It takes maturity to be able to stand in that 09:02.860 --> 09:07.600 and then want to pray for another person. You see what I'm saying? We can't control 09:07.600 --> 09:13.180 everything. We just speak on his behalf. And know that when we speak on his behalf, 09:13.200 --> 09:17.020 it's usually not a message. Everyone's cheering over like, I love when you say that. 09:17.520 --> 09:20.780 You know, I love the spirit realms not clapping for you when you're praying, 09:20.820 --> 09:25.400 except for the angels. So we're looking at Proverbs 18. 09:27.640 --> 09:37.580 Because we're going to address our loved ones that are living in the mainland with us. We're 09:37.580 --> 09:43.840 um, and, and I feel like a lot of us watching online or here are going through 09:44.700 --> 09:49.380 trying to reach somebody, right? And we have to understand this principle. This is how it says 09:49.380 --> 09:56.500 it in the amplified Proverbs 18 verse one. He who willfully separates and estranges 09:56.500 --> 10:05.060 himself from God and man seeks his own desire and pretexts to break out against all wise 10:05.060 --> 10:15.400 and sound judgment. Proverbs has a way of, for intercessors especially, we have to go through 10:15.400 --> 10:21.700 this and get these wisdom concepts. Because if we have knowledge, you know, like you can have 10:21.700 --> 10:25.880 something revealed and now you have a knowing, but you don't understand the knowing, that's 10:25.880 --> 10:29.720 frustrating. But if you have the knowledge and you understand it and you have no wisdom to 10:29.720 --> 10:35.640 handle it, it'll mess you up. You'll just get messed up. And it's like, I thought the things 10:35.640 --> 10:40.440 of God when they're revealed to you should not mess me up, but they can. This is why the 10:40.440 --> 10:45.100 maturing process has to keep happening. Because he who willfully separates and estranges 10:45.100 --> 10:49.580 himself from God and man seeks his own desire and pretexts to break out against all wise 10:49.580 --> 10:54.260 and sound judgment. So let's say you're praying for a person. And I mean, 10:54.920 --> 10:58.560 intercessory prayer goes to a level where it's like, I don't even know what I was saying. 10:58.560 --> 11:05.120 It just comes out of you. And then God gives you revelation and you're speaking on all the stuff 11:05.120 --> 11:08.940 right. And then maybe you're witnessing to the person or just seeing how they're doing. 11:09.280 --> 11:17.420 And you can see they are estranging themselves from God. You can take that personal and just 11:17.420 --> 11:24.540 be like, I have done so much and you still don't want him. This isn't about you, right? 11:25.260 --> 11:31.020 So maturity would say this isn't about you. You stay in the war on their behalf, even though 11:31.020 --> 11:38.500 they can make a choice and the choice that they can make can just be like, no, I'm staying away 11:38.500 --> 11:45.360 from him. I'm a stranger to him. It's gut-wrenching, especially when you know the person and you 11:45.360 --> 11:52.920 love them. It's gut-wrenching. And so this is where intercessory prayer can become a burden 11:52.920 --> 12:00.080 if we're not walking in wisdom as to how to handle that. We take this all on. And it's like, 12:00.220 --> 12:04.440 we have to pray harder or we have to pray this and we'll start getting in the flesh over a spiritual 12:04.440 --> 12:11.660 thing. Amen. The other thing is if you start praying for someone and they're estranging 12:11.660 --> 12:16.580 themselves and they're seeking their own desire and their pretext and they're breaking out 12:16.580 --> 12:20.720 against all wise wisdom. I mean, we try to warn them. People are trying to warn them, 12:20.720 --> 12:25.680 but they're like, no, I'm going to go do this. It's gut-wrenching, right? So when you're in that 12:25.680 --> 12:32.920 spot, you have to watch that you don't take control and that you're willing to let God deal 12:32.920 --> 12:40.160 with it. Because when God moves, everything moves. I'm not saying he sends a storm to 12:40.160 --> 12:43.980 blow up their house. I'm not saying he's doing... He doesn't use the devil's stuff 12:43.980 --> 12:51.540 to teach us anything. But when his hand gets lifted, like, hey, you're estranging yourself, 12:51.700 --> 12:55.460 you're way out over here, out from underneath the umbrella of my love, 12:57.160 --> 13:04.880 anything can happen, right? So it is our job at that point to be still speaking that person's 13:04.880 --> 13:11.280 name. Have mercy, God. Have mercy on them when they're playing around out there. Have mercy. 13:14.300 --> 13:19.400 Right? You don't just let them go. Maturity doesn't let them go. You have stay power that says, 13:19.500 --> 13:24.320 no, you told me, Lord God, you promised me that I've asked of you for the nations. 13:31.240 --> 13:39.320 I got some people. You have some people that we have prayed for and they're presently praying 13:39.320 --> 13:48.520 for. Do not let off. You keep your foot on the gas. You do not let off because I've heard so many 13:48.520 --> 13:54.060 stories of people that literally there's been people who have died and went to hell, right? 13:54.160 --> 13:58.780 They were gone for a certain amount of time or whatever and the Lord brought them back. But 13:58.780 --> 14:03.980 they were in hell and they saw on the other side, they saw there's like a chasm and they 14:03.980 --> 14:11.080 could see their mother standing in a field crying out for them. Lord, have mercy. Have mercy on them 14:11.080 --> 14:18.600 and literally they were sent back and could see, you know, that whole transition. We don't know how 14:18.600 --> 14:24.620 that happens, right? It's the same thing when we're praying for, if we can't do this with 14:24.620 --> 14:30.560 our loved ones, we definitely won't do that for governmental things. Because the first time, 14:30.560 --> 14:36.000 you know, we prayed. I mean we've been calling it and they still are doing this and they still 14:36.000 --> 14:42.260 voted this in or whatever and then we're done. We mess up intercessory prayer because intercessory 14:42.260 --> 14:48.980 prayer is operates out of wisdom and wisdom is the fear of the Lord, right? It's the choice part 14:49.540 --> 14:55.820 of the fear of the Lord, proverb says. And so that means that we're seeing past, we're seeing 14:56.540 --> 15:01.540 present and we're seeing into the future. This person could probably go to hell, the nation 15:01.540 --> 15:07.320 could go down. We're seeing those negative things, but where we stand is different than what we're 15:07.320 --> 15:16.460 seeing. Amen? We have to go. We have to climb up enough to see. This is bad. And then we have 15:16.460 --> 15:21.380 to get in that secret place and let him reveal, what do I do to speak into that? 15:23.280 --> 15:28.840 But what's been happening in the churches all across the world is as soon as we see that we're 15:28.840 --> 15:36.120 like, oh, failed mission. My prayers didn't work. You're in the process. Anybody remember 15:36.120 --> 15:42.220 Carmen, the singer? His sister shared the story of how she was after him. He would sing in Vegas 15:42.220 --> 15:46.120 and he would sing all these different places and totally in the world and he was getting 15:46.120 --> 15:52.360 really popular, whatever. And she would sneak into his room when he would come and stay at her house 15:52.360 --> 15:58.920 or she would have someone bring a pillow covered in oil or in his room do the same thing that 15:58.920 --> 16:03.360 people have prayed over and then he'd sleep on that at night. And she's like, get him, God, 16:03.760 --> 16:10.460 just get him. And then he would get worse. It always gets worse before it gets better. 16:10.460 --> 16:15.380 I don't know, you know, if we feel like we have that Jedi like, 16:15.480 --> 16:21.420 and we say it and then suddenly it just happens. You know, no, you stay on it and you have to be 16:21.420 --> 16:27.800 tenacious about it. Knowing that, he who willfully separates, they're by the choice of their 16:27.800 --> 16:34.140 own will. They're separating and estranging themselves from God and man. They seek their 16:34.140 --> 16:38.720 own desire and pretext to break out against all wise and sound judgment. 16:41.830 --> 16:43.490 How many of you got somebody like that? 16:46.210 --> 16:51.850 And it breaks your heart and sometimes it's hard to pray so then we pray less for them 16:52.550 --> 16:58.530 because we're stuck. We're stuck in our own emotion about it. We're stuck. And this is when 16:58.530 --> 17:01.410 you don't know how to pray as you ought. What do you pray? You pray in the Holy Spirit. 17:02.190 --> 17:07.490 And just let him say what needs to be said. Then he'll bring you up to a place of faith 17:07.490 --> 17:12.230 where you'll say something too, right? You'll have gotten something from God and you'll say 17:12.230 --> 17:18.310 something too. But if you're wrecked before you start out, put the reliance on him totally. 17:19.250 --> 17:26.170 Don't stop praying. Just be like, Holy Spirit, you're gonna use me. I'm here. So I just waited and I was able to 17:56.070 --> 17:59.890 smack that back. Sometimes the Lord will be like, I'm here for you and 17:59.890 --> 18:02.770 that kind of message. But this is like, what are you talking about? 18:03.750 --> 18:09.070 Stop talking so foolish. And then I just went down the line like that or whatever and 18:09.070 --> 18:15.350 ended up praying for them. They snapped right out of it. But I have to get those things from God. 18:15.770 --> 18:20.870 And sometimes they're end of the world statements. They're big dogmatic statements. 18:21.530 --> 18:26.330 And some of us grew up with arguments in the home where people were what I call 18:26.330 --> 18:30.410 pull big levers. Like, we're getting a divorce. And they say that a thousand times 18:30.410 --> 18:34.830 in a month, but nobody gets a divorce. But it's that big lever thing that's supposed 18:34.830 --> 18:40.030 to scare everybody and get them under control. We also have to know how to operate in the 18:40.030 --> 18:45.470 mainland when people talk big lever stuff. And they're pulling, well, then I'll just leave. Okay. 18:46.990 --> 18:52.870 Right? But I'm still praying for you. You can't shock into all me is what I'm saying. 18:53.410 --> 18:58.090 We have to come to a point of maturity where there's no shock and awe here that you said 18:58.090 --> 19:03.930 some big lever thing. And we're all supposed to go, it's over now. I guess it's just over. 19:04.210 --> 19:08.770 It's so sad. And we'll talk like that with each other. So sad. My Aunt Rosemary knew that my mother knew that in their prayer 19:21.490 --> 19:25.390 times, they would get up three, four o'clock in the morning because my mom ran a farm and 19:25.970 --> 19:31.210 my Aunt Rosemary had seven kids and was running a farm in a way, you know, with all those kids 19:31.210 --> 19:38.350 and stuff. And so they would get on the phone together at that time and just pray for each 19:38.350 --> 19:46.850 kid and just go for it. Right? And we were just as snotty as ever. Just as mean as ever. 19:47.330 --> 19:53.170 And many times it would just make it worse. And they had stay power. That's why I'm standing here 19:53.170 --> 19:59.050 today because of their stay power. If they didn't let off, I'd probably be on my way to hell or dead. 20:00.330 --> 20:07.290 But they didn't let off. And so you can't go by sight. You can't even go by hearing the things 20:07.290 --> 20:12.670 here on the mainland. It's like, oh, I'm a pilgrim passing through, but I'm also an ambassador. 20:13.190 --> 20:20.590 And I'm not here to just sightsee. I'm here to rule and reign. So I actually have some say so 20:20.590 --> 20:28.410 in your life. And it's going to get hot for you. Because the love of God itself, 20:34.670 --> 20:40.110 when it hits that opposing factor, it's tormenting. So I have some people on my prayer 20:40.110 --> 20:44.170 list right now that I know my prayers are having an effect because it's so bad. 20:46.110 --> 20:50.010 So I'm trying to give you a different way of looking at it. It's like, it's so bad. You're 20:50.010 --> 20:55.910 like, yeah, get them, God. It's hovering, brood over the situation. They're making a choice 20:55.910 --> 21:01.870 by their will to estrange themselves from you. The problem is they already know enough of you. 21:02.250 --> 21:07.990 It's too late. Once you know, you will be held accountable to what you know. Everyone, oh, it sucks the air out of them. 21:25.410 --> 21:32.110 No, they have whatever, you know, there's all kinds of diseases. But for some reason, 21:32.330 --> 21:37.570 that one just seems so mysterious. And there's so many lies about it. And there's so much 21:37.570 --> 21:43.030 going on that we'll pray for a little bit. And then we back off. It's like, well, they didn't make it. 21:43.370 --> 21:47.610 Or, you know, it's gotten worse or whatever. Yes, sometimes it gets worse before it gets better. 21:48.870 --> 21:51.490 You stay on it. It's the same, I'm just using a gross 22:10.790 --> 22:17.230 thing, but that's that is exactly how prayer works. And so we have to be in that reality. So I'm 22:17.230 --> 22:24.890 doing a reality check on the mainland today, so that we're able to take a look and say, oh, well, 22:24.990 --> 22:30.170 if my finances keep talking smack to me, then it looks like it's gotten a little worse. And I 22:30.170 --> 22:36.770 need to rise up even more. I need to hold the line on what he's already said. Right? 22:37.530 --> 22:43.510 But the average Christian, from my experience, and all the churches that I've ministered to, 22:43.570 --> 22:49.250 and all the years I've led prayer, will get jazzed up when there's something that's wrong. 22:50.130 --> 22:54.550 And then we do the jazzed up prayer and we felt like, we really just, we interceded. 22:55.290 --> 23:00.110 Whew. Like it went on for like 10 minutes. I'm telling you, Jim, it was like 10 minutes. 23:01.370 --> 23:05.370 And I mean, we got at it. And I spoke this word, and I spoke that, and then you just 23:05.370 --> 23:09.750 dropped the whole thing and left. And then we all wait, or like we rolled the dice, 23:09.910 --> 23:15.590 and then we wait and see if it worked. That's a form of unbelief. It is. It just goes through you. You're just so very aware of it. Separation to go be with God and then come back into a 27:13.550 --> 27:18.450 situation totally different. But isolation is like, I want everybody to be gone. Because many times it's the area that we're in the most 28:06.880 --> 28:12.100 pain that we're trying to dissociate from that will go over here and pray for the missionaries, 28:12.200 --> 28:16.080 but don't touch that.
