So I've got something on me this morning that's very heavy. I asked the children to stay in, not for the children's sake, but for the worker's sake. Of course, the children can glean something here too, but for the worker's sake, because I don't know who this applies to. Last night at the prayer meeting that was here, the Lord put this on me and He said, you need to deal with this now. There's a time element to this. So I'll work my way through this. Be patient with me. For someone or someone's, and I wrote some notes trying to, I want to make sure I describe this the best I know how to describe this. There's someone or someone's, you're not getting answers to the prayers you're praying. You're praying for something, you're after something, and you're not... It's not manifesting online. This could very specifically apply to whoever's watching there this morning. The feeling I have is the immediate need is a health issue, a physical issue, but the principle applies to everything. And the Lord told me last night, He said, there's people who are after something and they're not getting the answer. He said, you have to tell them and describe to them how to do it, but tell them they have to pray differently. You're not praying correctly. And I said nothing about this to Mary other than I've got something for this morning, and then at the end of prayer, she went into it. And then Pastor Eger kind of gave a glancing blow at it. So it's the whole service kind of building around this. You've been praying, you've been quoting Scripture, you've received a rama word, you're stating your rama word. This thing has been on your mind, whatever the issue is, it's bothering you, it's increasing in intensity and on your mind and bothering you, pursuing it, you're after it, but nothing's changing. So I'll say it again, you're going to need to pray differently than you're praying. And many times we can get affected in how we pray by tradition. What our parents prayed like, what it was like when we were growing up has a huge effect on how we'll pray. Religion, bad teaching, our personality can get in the way. It makes us feel uncomfortable to do what I'm going to describe. Sometimes we think it's irreverent, so I could never do that. Wouldn't God get upset? Well, God's talking to you this morning, whoever you are, if you're here, you're online. God's talking to you, and let me show some scripture so you understand it's not irreverent. And the best way for me to do this, let's try that, the best way I think for me to do this is screen mirror, a couple of things. Never always sure it's going to work. It's a little bit small, I don't think I can make it bigger. James chapter five, anybody in trouble, he should pray, anybody happy, let him sing songs of praise, anybody sick. And then he talks about that realm, call for the elder of the church, pray every anointing with oil, prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well. Lord will raise him up, if he sinned he will be forgiven. Verse 16, therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other. Now please note something in this section of scripture, he's not giving one way to receive your answer, he's giving several. If this isn't working for you, do this. If this isn't working for you, do this. Sometimes our own pride is blocking our answers, and we need to confess our sins to somebody. Don't put it in the paper, don't put it online. Don't talk to the town gossip. But sometimes you need to confess something to somebody to remove the blockage before the answer comes through. So he's hitting some things here. Confess your sins to each other, pray for each other that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. That's the part I want you to see there. And I want to take you in a little bit of a Bible study. Again, I can't. If I do it this way, I don't... Oh, a little bit bigger. Let's do it this way. Effectual NIV says effective. King James, effectual fervent. New King James says the same. What does that mean? I just underlined some parts here. To be at work, to operate, to be active, to be effective, to put forth power, to produce effect. It comes from the word that is, we get our word energy. It's energy. It means to be active at work. It's the direct source of the English word energy. And I know it's small. I'm reading it to you, but it's small. It's there. It means to effect or accomplish or work something with active power. It often implies effective, productive activity rather than mere busyness. Now, this is important. I'm going to touch this a bit. Power and motion that achieve something. So it's talking about working. It's talking about being active. It talks about doing something. But that word is not talking about busyness. Sometimes we pray. We confess the word. We speak. We ask God. And it's like busyness. It's not coming from our heart. It's coming from our head. Head prayers avail nothing. God looks at the heart. He pays attention to the heart. I ask, why did the King James and New King James take the word that is actually energy and translate it effectual or effect... NIV effective or fervent? Fervent means hot. Why did do that? The word energy fundamentally means to be at work to operate, to put forth power. The King James translators chose effectual to capture the idea of prayer that actually produces results. Not just potential, but effective in action. They added fervent to convey the energetic, active, impassioned qualities of this prayer. Prayer with real spiritual power at work, not cold or formal prayer. Formal prayer, it's going to destroy what you're after. You know, like, well, we got it. We're going to pray now. So everybody, let's fold our hands. Let's take our hats off. Let's be religious. Let's, okay, what could we say now that would be good? And God will get the point. You are wasting your time when you are caught in a difficult situation. If that prayer would have worked, you'd already have your answer. The word prayer there is dhesis. In the classical and biblical Greek, it refers to an earnest plea or request, often arising from a sense of need or want. It conveys humble, urgent intercession rather than casual prayer. So what he's describing here is somebody who is intensively hot after something. That's what he's describing. We are spirit, soul, and body. That's how we're created. There are times in order to get your answer, you have to have all three involved. At full throttle. All three involved at full throttle. The kind of prayer that James talks about and that I'm going to try to describe. Well, how does that look? What do I need to do? It does not originate in your head or in your emotions. This wells up out of your spirit. Please make that differentiation. Because sometimes people pray very emotionally and it goes nowhere. It doesn't work to come out of the soul. It has to flow out of the spirit. It has to well up inside you. That's what makes it Holy Spirit empowered. And when it wells up, it will result in an explosion in you. This has happened a handful of times over my lifetime. Again, in desperate situations. There's more prayers and more answers that I've gotten by quoting the words, speaking the rama. Doing the normal processes, there's more that I've gotten that I could count. But you hit those almost like dead ends in life. And the dumb thing won't move. It won't obey the word. It won't obey you. It just sits there almost like it's mocking you. Just stubborn. There is a way to deal with that, but you have to learn to pray differently. And what's going to happen, I'm going to try to describe it to you as it happens for me. And if there's anything, Mary, you could add to this when I'm done. Please do. When... Because see, it's on your mind. You're pursuing it. You're in the word. You're quoting the word. You're speaking your rama. But it's not changing. So it's becoming more and more intense to you. It's on your mind more. You're bothered by this thing. You're after this thing. You're asking God, what do I do? When it rises up, you need to engage it with your entire being. And you need to wait for it to rise up. It's like a gift to the Spirit. The gifts of the Spirit manifest, according to 1 Corinthians 12, as the Spirit wills. This form of effectual prayer or intercession will manifest as the Spirit wills. If we try to make it happen, it's emotionally, mentally based, and it'll accomplish nothing. And you can be very emotional and very desperate, but it'll accomplish nothing. There will be a rising up out of your Spirit. When that happens, you have to engage entirely. So let me try to describe that. Your focus, mental focus, becomes very focused. There's no mind wandering going on here. This is, bam, you're focused. You have to go with that. Your intensity, the intensity of what will erupt in your Spirit, and I always point here because the heart of our Spirit is in our stomach, according to Proverbs. It's right here. This is where it wells up from. When you're interceding, this is where it comes from. It doesn't come from between your ears. It will well up from inside of you. Many times intercession can feel like dry heaves. The best way I can describe it is just heaving out of your Spirit, letting it go. The intensity of what will well up when we're facing these dead-end situations that refuse to move will be an intensity like it's life or death, because sometimes it is. But you're sensing the intensity of the Holy Spirit on this thing. He wants your answer more than you want it. And he's more intense on it than you are. So when he erupts into this inside of you, follow it. Your volume can go one or two directions. It will be almost like a puking out of the intensity of the Spirit addressing this situation. Your volume physically engaged. Your physical volume can go up, or sometimes it goes down to almost a squeak, because you just can't get anything out. Your physical body will want to engage. There's been times it's like I'm fighting an invisible foe in the physical. It is, you will bow. You say, well, do you have to do that? Do you want your answer or don't you? This is an effectual, fervent crying out for life or death. The attitude is either I get this or I quit, I die. And it may not be a physical issue. It may be a financial issue. It might be a whatever issue. That's the intensity of it, though. It's how it comes out. Let your body posture and your involvement get engaged, get involved. It will be a cry of desperation. It's not going to be a pronouncement of faith. It's not going to be a prophecy. Why call this into being? It is a child, a son, a daughter of God before the throne, pleading, crying out to the only one who can change this. And if he doesn't, I don't want to go on. That's the intensity it comes out with. We're approaching the throne. Now, interesting. You might not have looked this up, so I'll just give it to you for free. With Hebrews 4.16, we come before the throne boldly. You know what that word boldly means? Not what we usually think. It means all outspokenness. That is frankness and bluntness. You're coming dumping it all. You're not worrying about sounding nice. You're not worrying about picking the right words. You are just bluntly dumping your load. That's coming before the throne boldly. If sin gets in the way, because obviously the spirit realm, the negative spirit realm is going to try to stop you from doing this. And if sin pops thought in your mind, sin thoughts pop in your mind. Deal with it. Do not shrink back at that. Well, I'm probably not worthy. Do you know nothing about Scripture? Confess your sins. He is faithful and just to forgive you and to cleanse you from all unrighteousness. Whatever pops in, confess it, repent of it, deal with it and move on. And that's a rule for life. If we as Christians can't learn to do spiritual warfare effectively enough, that all the devil has to do is just say remember what you did and it shuts us down. We'll accomplish nothing. Yeah, I remember what I did. And I also remember who paid for it. And I was wrong. And I'm sorry. Forgive me. But I am not going to be deterred from my answer. And sometimes they just flood in. Well, you got a lot of sin crap you never dealt with. Deal with it right there, right now. Do not go on. Well, I'll just come back a different day when I'm more ready. You're ready right now. That's why it's rising up in you. Deal with it now. Condemnation, unworthiness, the whole thing. The same thing. But you have to allow yourself to give the Holy Spirit in you full mental, emotional, physical release. You have to. If you don't learn to pray that way whatever your obstacle is will take you out. There are some things will not kneel or get out of our life until we get over our hangups. Well, it makes me, I'm not that kind of personality. Well, go ahead and die. Go ahead and go broke. Go ahead and lose your marriage. See, at some point we have to step up and say, well, maybe my personality is wrong. Maybe I was damaged in an area. Maybe I'm just fearful or shy which is a form of fear or whatever. I don't like to do that. When this happens to me and I sense it coming I'll find a place to get alone. I don't like to be a public display of whatever God is doing in my life. I'll get alone. But you'll sense it coming. First time it might sneak up on you. But then God is usually gracious and you'll be alone if you're that kind of person. I don't like to hang my stuff out in front of people. But when it's me and him whatever these feelings are I feel so, this feels so odd. I'm uncomfortable. I hope nobody's watching. You need to get over yourself. If you want your answer, you need to get over yourself and let her blow. Because if you don't if I was a betting man I'd put everything I got on the side. Yeah, they'll never get their answer. They're pride. They're shame. They're insecurity. The personality. They've nurtured all their life. If you didn't like the way you were you wouldn't be that way. You've nurtured this. You like who you are in your personality. So that's why you've kept it that way. What you've nurtured all your life. All this stuff is going to take your answer away. There comes a point where God says I want all of you. Including your personality. Correct. I want it all. Oh God, I give you all but just don't make me raise my hands in public well then he don't have you all. Oh God, just don't ever let me have to pray in public then he doesn't have all of you. And those things that he doesn't have can actually stop the answer from coming through. So whoever this is talking to I'm going to pray for whoever these person or people are and God's going to start churning in your spirit and this is going to take place. When it does you go before the throne like it's life and death if it's a physical problem it could be life and death. And you let God specifically the Holy Spirit be God in you. And you just pour it out be blunt, be open with God let your body get involved. Remember in the Old Testament the king that lost his kingdom because he did not take the arrows and hit the ground with enough intensity? God was looking for him to look like a madman. And of course he's a king so he's got probably servants there he's probably got guard there it wasn't just him and the prophet he had people there and he probably had well I don't want to look stupid so I'll just three times you hit the ground the prophet said that's too bad because now you're not going to get your answer. You did not engage the way you needed to engage physically and it's not just the well would physical things make that big a difference? No, there's always a reason we don't go there. Could be shame, could be pride could be fear, could be insecurities, could be whatever there's something in us that God doesn't have yet and when he says you need to do it and we go I don't want to I don't think I will our answer walks out the door with that statement because he doesn't have all of us. So father in the name of Jesus I'm praying for whoever this is I've given words enough you can teach them from here by your spirit. In Jesus name I call the stirring to begin to take place in their spirits. I call the intensity of their desperation of their longing of the cries of their heart to grow and bring it to that point where there is an explosion inside of them that cries out this is not scriptural this is not my God this is not right and I will not go on until this change I'd rather die it becomes that intense in them. And then I pray they give voice they give physical movement they give emotion to it they engage with what is trying to spill out they engage with it once twice however often Holy Spirit you cause it to boil up but also I pray they don't try to make it up try to work it up this will happen This has already tried to happen with a number of you, and you've, you've emotionally, you've mentally squeezed it down and stopped it. Give this thing voice and movement in Jesus' name, and you will have your answer. You want to add something to that? I wasn't intending this to become the message this morning, but at the same token we got to finish it. I do feel like there are people's lives hanging in the bounce, so it is really important for those of you watching online and here. There's something else that takes place that only the Holy Spirit can deal with, and that is when you go flatline. And I'm very aware that there's people in this house this morning that have gone flatline. A flatline means I've cried about it too often, too much, too hard in my soul. You know, you can cry and cry and cry in your soul, but it's a difference when the Holy Spirit prays through you and cries. He's purifying you. When you cry in your soul, you're just venting out emotion. And what happens when you do that over and over, the brain itself will say, this is too much, we've gone too far, it's too little, it's too late, and you literally will not be able to feel. And so then this will sound like, oh, all work. It's all work. When the Holy Spirit came upon them in Acts chapter 1 and 2, when it describes that, He diffused them throughout their souls. So the main thing we're asking for is Holy Spirit to pray through us. When we do not know how to pray as we ought, we talked about this in prayer this morning, the Holy Spirit prays through us. It doesn't matter if I have feeling or I don't have feeling, I make a choice to say, God pray through me. I got nothing, I'm flat line. I don't even know if I could cry about the situation anymore. I don't even know if I care anymore. It is what it is, right? And so to get rid of flat line, and I've been there, we've all been there at some time or whatever. And so I ask Holy Spirit to pray through me. And you will start out, like we talked about in prayer, it'll just sound like you're Babylon. That's why it's important that you have the baptism of the Holy Spirit because he is fire. He's ability, efficiency, and might praying through you. But you don't know how to pray as you are. You don't even know what to say anymore. But it'll start out, I don't know, I'm praying in the spirit. I don't feel nothing. Stay praying in the spirit until you feel what he feels. You don't have feelings about yourself anymore. It's been too much. You shut it down. You're looking to feel what he feels. It'll come up out of your spirit. And he will pray through you. Next thing you know, there's a lot of emotion there. But it's different than your emotions where you feel sorry for yourself or you've come to the end of yourself or you just don't know what to do anymore. And your flat line, it will come up. And you will begin to pray. This is why if I asked you to come with me and we go to a hospital, let's take it off of ourselves. And I'm like, there's someone in there that's looking at getting surgery or whatever, you don't know them. But let's just go stand by them and have a prayer of agreement. Most people's prayers of agreement, whoever's praying will pray and they'll go, yes, Lord, amen. Yes. And then we just leave the hospital room. What if that person needs more than that? Yeah. A lot of times they need way more than that. You ain't got, you're not emotionally attached to them. You don't have any feelings so how can I pray out of feelings? So I'm praying factual or I'll pray the word. Now, the word has its own inherent power and it'll go in and divide sickness away from the body. We have its own inherent power. It'll get in. There's power packed because Jesus says the word. But you add the Holy Spirit praying through you and then you're saying the word. Now, that's resurrection power. When we're flatline, we have to be resurrected. We might not even necessarily, I'm using the hospital thing as if you're praying for somebody else. You don't feel what they're feeling. You're not seeing the impact of what they're about to go through. So you don't have all that. But when the Holy Spirit prays for you, you'll feel what He feels about them. And that gives you hang time and prayer. I went to a man's house that I didn't even know. And I thought, I don't know this guy who's suffering cancer and everything. And the people were crying and all that. And I thought, I don't want to get involved in that part of it because I don't want to be in unbelief. But I ended up going to his room and just sitting there with them and just asking Holy Spirit. I'm like, I don't have anything. I'm just here because I'm faithful servant of God. I don't have anything. I know what the word says and I can go ahead and do that. But I will deal with this a little bit. But when I went over and started praying under my breath first, Holy Spirit, what do you have to say about this? And then I began to pray in the spirit. I felt what his family felt. I felt what he was feeling. I literally, it literally caused me to crawl right up on the bed with him and just stroke his hair and whisper in his ear and speak life into his body. I don't have any feelings when I showed up there. Sad situation. I'm not attached to it. Suddenly it was like I knew him all my life. But if you are flat line about yourself, you're not going to show up for yourself. You have to let the Holy Spirit pray through. That's why in prayer many times people will label me like, oh, there she goes being loud again or whatever. I don't do that all the time, but if Holy Spirit does that through me, we're going to go there. Warfare sounds like that. Traveil sounds like that. We can't pretend and stay just always one emotion, always one thing. Holy Spirit's not like that. He's efficient when he does something and he gets it done and and he decrees it through us. He declares it through. We might not feel any of that till we begin to pray in the spirit. So anybody here that you know you're flat line in a certain area, you're just like, I don't even. Yeah, see, thank you for being honest. Thank you for being honest. So part of being flat line is also going to another level by the way that just says, well, it is what it is. Bring it in. I got nothing to say to it. We'll see what happens. I never want to see what happens. I want to know what he says is going to happen. And I will declare that how it manifests is up to him. We can't predict that. But righteousness is going to prevail over unrighteous things. See how I'm feeling the Holy Spirit right now? This is not my personality, by the way. This is me feeling Holy Spirit and something that is unrighteous. You have to call a spade a spade and speak to that thing and say, enough is enough. And then you can go into the flesh and want to duke it out with that. No, you go into the spirit. See what he has to say about that. Or the emotions. Don't go into the emotions. The emotions will engage after the spirit, but don't engage in emotion thinking that's the spirit. Now, if you have all kinds of pent up emotion and you've been flat line and you need to let that out. Okay, separate it in your mind like, just give me a minute, God, because I'm going to let this all out. Cry it out. Just be like, you know, let it out. Get it out of you. And then come back and say, no, you say what needs to say. You know, because we've been stuffing many times for far too long. That's what causes us to cap it off. The brain actually, your physical brain says this is far too much information. It's taken up too much space, time, and energy. We're just going to shut it down. And then faith cannot do anything with it. All right, you can take the mic back with you. This is not a prayer line thing. This is a you personally with God thing. If you're baptized in the Holy Spirit and you're facing a dead end, the Holy Spirit already tried to lead you into this. If you didn't go there, well, then something shut it down. If you're not baptized in the Holy Spirit, this might be all news to you and I would recommend what Jesus recommended. Get baptized with the Holy Spirit. More than what you got at salvation because there's that teaching. Well, I was baptized when I was saved. Do you speak in tongues? Because that's what Jesus was talking about. If you don't, you don't got it. Just call it what it is. So, yes, some of you need to go there. You need to engage. Let the Holy Spirit do what he's going to do. And it will change everything. If you don't, well, whatever is consuming you will probably destroy you. I just feel it needs to be said that bluntly.
