Thank you, Lord God. Let's turn our Bibles to John.
I'm always getting rerouted from where I want to go, and I'm okay with that,
because Holy Spirit's okay with that.
I want to first clarify some things that we need prayer for.
And that's the Woodstock event that's happening up in the Bemidji area.
It's not this weekend, but it's the following.
Or it's the second weekend in August.
And I think that's the 15th. I think it is on a Saturday that our band will be there.
And people have been asking me about that. I just want to give some clarity.
Yes, you can come up and tent and camp and bring a camper or whatever and be a part of that.
It's music, but it's also Bible study, but it's done in a very relaxed way.
Sometimes you'll go to a conference or family camp or something, and it's all scheduled out.
That's not how they roll up there, so just let you know at a time.
There might be prayer for healing. There might be whatever.
And last time we were there, the Kree were there.
There were people, Apache, Ojibwe, coming from all over the place.
And then just people from Bemidji and coming out.
And so we're supporting that.
And some of you know Jimmy Wiley or you remember him.
He was on the piano and his wife was here for Open Heavens.
You know, I always call him Wild Willy on the organ kind of thing.
But he runs that.
And so we're coming there to be a support, and we'll have some speakers that will be there.
You can come and pray the grounds.
Or if you can't show up at all, just pray.
Because this is part of uniting the people in the north.
Uniting the tribes.
And it's something that's only three years old, and we expect it to grow every year.
So if you can be a part of supporting that in any way, maybe just let me know.
Send me a text and just say, yeah, I'm coming or I'm staying and praying kind of deal.
So John chapter 15 is what we're looking at this morning.
And we're talking about the Spirit of God and going to move into some things.
And how that ties into Woodstock is anything that we do for him, he is our guide.
And a guide is the one who actually shows you through.
You don't hire a guide and you go hiking or something like that.
Or hunting and you're like, I'm going to hire a guide.
And then you tell the guy what you're doing.
And you're always out in front.
You're like, he's the one guiding you.
You should probably let him guide.
So we know the Holy Spirit is the guide.
And so part of how God guided us through open heavens was when we went back,
we had a sheet where and we'll hand those out again or have them available again.
So we can relook at what was spoken last year at open heavens.
Because we've been readying ourselves for the next open heavens the whole time.
But as we get closer and closer, we have to remind ourselves of what was already said
and be sure we're walking on what was already said.
If we want the next version of what's going to come out from God,
then we have to have been operating and what was said.
And so I've been listening to those and go online and listen to those sermons.
And we'll go through and we'll be in the next few weeks or so.
We'll be highlighting again and just checking ourselves.
Like, are we doing this as a body?
This is what was laid out.
And who it's been powerful.
I've been listening to them and just taking notes again.
And there's some powerful stuff.
So that's God guiding us.
That's the word guide.
So here we are in John chapter 15 verse 26.
It says it like this.
But when the helper, the comforter, the advocate, the intercessor,
the counselor, the strengthener and the standby comes.
It breaks down Holy Spirit, you know.
This is who's coming, right?
And he's here.
And he's pouring out of his spirit in the last days.
So as he pours out, it's not just the light up or giftings.
He's pouring out the helper, the comforter, the advocate,
the intercessor, the counselor, the strengthener and the standby.
Whom I will send to you from the Father,
that is the spirit of truth who comes from the Father.
He will testify and bear witness about me.
So he'll bear witness to who Jesus is.
But at the same time, truth, when truth comes forward,
when he pours out of his spirit onto all flesh,
he's pouring out everything truth.
And don't lies just get mad at that.
Anything that's built into lie gets ticked off at the truth,
instantly.
I mean, you can speak the truth softly.
You know, you can write it on a piece of paper
and people are angry because it's truth.
And wherever there's a lie, it challenges that.
Then it goes on in chapter 16 of John and says this in verse 13.
But when he, the spirit of truth comes,
he will guide you into all the truth,
full and complete truth,
for he will not speak on his own initiative,
but he will speak whatever he hears from the Father,
the message regarding the Son,
and he will disclose to you what is to come in the future.
We need that right now.
And that's the assignment of the Watchman, too,
is that we're climbing the wall.
We're on the wall.
We're before him.
We're in prayer enough.
We're spending enough time with him that we get disclosure.
You know, sometimes we're trying to work on a project
and we don't have full disclosure.
And so we're doing it with the information that we have,
and that can be really good,
but we need full disclosure.
We need to know how this thing is operating.
And that comes from the guide.
That comes from the comforter.
That comes from the standby.
That comes from the advocate.
That comes from the intercessor.
That comes from the helper.
That comes from the Holy Spirit.
Same spirit that raised Christ from the dead
that dwells in us.
He will disclose to you what is to come in the future.
He will glorify verse 14 and honor
because he the Holy Spirit will take from what is mine
and will disclose it to you.
Knowing our individual lives right now,
we need certain things disclosed.
Amen?
Like you got enough information to be dangerous
but not enough to know.
That's frustrating when you're in that spot.
We want to have full disclosure.
And so we can't do the little kids saying,
come on, God, tell me.
Come on, I waited on five minutes.
I said a scripture, I did whatever.
I was in worship.
What do you want from me kind of thing?
That's not how you get disclosure.
You have to get tight with the helper,
the comforter, the advocate, the intercessor,
the counselor, the strength and the standby
because he's going to be the one
that discloses all truth.
So churches, I'll just say this,
and you can hear this online,
that don't believe in the operation of the Holy Spirit
don't have disclosure.
They got enough to be dangerous but not enough to know.
And yet we understand Holy Spirit
to the degree we understand
and we don't have full disclosure.
So we can't elevate ourselves
like we're the ones who know.
Actually, if we knew more than what we know right now,
we'd get more done.
And so that's that spending time with him.
So we know that he's going to be the guide
and the word guide,
let me see here, I'm just going to look at it real quick.
A person who exhibits and explains points of interest,
this is just the dictionary.
It's similar to what it says in the Greek.
Somebody or something that provides
a person guiding information.
One that leads or directs another way of doing things.
That's pretty cool.
So whatever it is we're battling,
we've been coming at it.
We're like, I'm coming at this thing.
I'm okay, stop everything
and make sure you're talking to the guide.
And he's going to give you disclosure
and have an expectation.
I'm going to get disclosure here this morning.
So it's our responsibility to respond
with the ability that we have.
Faith without works instead.
So we take the ability we have
and we're like, I'm going to take this little bit of something.
And I'm going to respond to whatever the need is,
but I can only do that to the point that I have knowledge of.
And if I don't have disclosure from him,
if he hasn't given me the rainbow word on it,
if I don't have marching orders, I'm in trouble.
I need to see the full meal deal.
And so I have to go to the guide.
And like I said, when you have a guide helping you,
it's not the thing of...
I hired this guide and I'm out in front.
We're going bear hunting in Alaska.
No, I'd be like sticking that guy out front tight behind him
like looking around for the bear.
Because he's the guide. He knows.
You know, I'm not going to act like I know
I've never been hunting in Alaska.
So how would I know?
So that's why you hire a guide.
And so for us to come before the Lord
and get information,
we take the information we already know
like taking what happened at Open Heavens last year
that really was a word for the year.
Some of it was a word for future things past the year.
But we have to go back and say,
what was disclosed again?
And make sure that we're not out in front of the guide
or we're not way behind and we've lost track of where he's gone.
So we're going to be doing that
and we're going to get disclosure.
So I want to play something this morning
and enter into prayer with it.
And it's like inviting Calvin Woods here today.
So sometimes he'll be online doing a podcast
and other times he'll just do worship.
And when he does that, it's to prophesy.
And he had prophesied something
that is like about expansion.
And most of it I can say
that it isn't how hard I listen to him
because I listened to it like three times.
You know, like, oh, he's going to tell me,
he's going to give me some kind of disclosure.
No, the music and everything sets it up
for you to get disclosure.
So we're going to find to probably some prayer
whether it be just sitting where you are,
closing your eyes, coming to the altar,
facing your chair, however you roll.
And we're going to listen to this.
So don't watch it as much as to listen to what is said
and enter into worship.
And we'll dim the lights down a little bit
just to give our brain that idea that,
hey, we're actually at prayer.
So let's go into that now.
Lord, we're looking for disclosure.
We're looking for the guide to guide us
into all truth, to the new truth,
to the better.
